Hi, thanks for the lovely video! I have a problem with my linker, can you please help me fix it?

In all the knitting machine books that I have read they say cast on 60 stitches, knit say 20 rows waste wool than two rows contrast waste wool, then main wool, knit 30 rows and mark the 21st each side, then knit another 30 rows, knit several rows of waste wool and take off machine, let it sit for a while before measuring but if is wool or wool mixture wash or steam the tension square, let it dry well before measuring and then you will get a true measurement before starting the garment. It is worth all the hassle, trust me.😊

No matter how many adjustments I am making to the tension settings I just cannot get 29st/40r in 4ply on a standard machine - suggested tension is 6, I've gone to tension 5 to 7 and used the dots in between and still do not have enough stitches - it keeps coming up at 25, 6 or 7.... if I go to less than tension 5 the fabric will end up feeling like a piece of cardboard - I've even tried fiddling with the mast tension and still no luck!
