Your videos are clear, concise and useful! So glad you don’t do any useless filler chat. Using new waste yarn each time I knit fills me with guilt and rewinding the waste yarn takes time that could be spent knitting. Making these in various sizes will save time, yarn and most importantly, waste. Thanks for making this. That monkey pin cushion is too cute! 🐒
Thank you, I agree all of that yarn wasted isn't great long-term both environmentally and budget-wise, there is a place for waste yarn but IMHO it is not at the beginning of a projects when this method is available! The monkey pattern is a free crochet amigurimi pattern by Sharon Ojala www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-bigfoot-monkey-2014, she has a youtube channel too I think, he's a very handy little sewing/knitting buddy.
thank you! i feel so much better now knowing i don’t have to waste waste yarn as much anymore. can you explain how i would use the cast on rag when using the ribber? is it possible to do gauge swatches with the ribber and the cast on rag? could i also use these at the end of a piece like where scrapping off to hold stitches? thanks in advance!
It would depend on your cast on choice but I'd cast on the main bed and transfer the required stitches down (I'm guessing you need to do this due to not having a cast-on comb for the ribber?)
thanks for your reply - i do have the cast on comb for the ribber and have seen a couple videos on using waste yarn to start a ribbed hem that isn’t distorted. i was wondering if there was some way to use a cast on rag in this type of situation to reduce waste. thanks!
Thank you for your very helpful, clear and concise informative vidz. I am finishing off a hand knit wee hoodie before I get my teeth into my new 2nd hand knitting machines. I bought an SK 151 1st then an Empisal 700 with ribber spn60. Your videos shall be my starting point. Cheers

Is that a full length light above your machine? If yes where can they be purchased?
It is not a light unfortunately although I'm working on some ideas to put one in. The bar is bart of my KE100 motor drive.

Your camera position is superb and the speed and explanations are spot on.

Not only do I enjoy your teaching ability, but your videography is perfect in showing up close, and at various angles, the work as you go. Thank you
