      @manuelrivera6873 17 дней назад

      @@zohebthayer The one thing different I did that was different instead of securing 2 blocks of wood that you installed so that the thin aluminum piece would not flex when clamping, I just used one long piece of wood. I had to remove the clips for the push stick but not a problem. Since I made an extension table directly after the table saw I did not need to install a Bow out feed support. I did have enough room to install 2 Bow supports at the indeed. Very happy with the results . Great Idea of yours!

    its nice. but the accessoires asre at the same price as the saw itself... cringe.. for this cash + the cost of the saw, you will get a better tablesaw by itself...

    • @julianugentarchitect
      @julianugentarchitect 15 дней назад

      I disagree - First, a good full size saw is not just a few hundred more, it’s probably at least a thousand more. Second, the small shop may not be able to handle a full size saw. Third, the stock guides would benefit any saw - big or small.

    I have been fitting Amtico flooring for 26 years and you never cut the door off square. We mark the door and remove it then we use a router to cut a rebate on the door so it fits over the door bar but stays long on the room side to avoid draughts under the door I'm sorry but very amateurish video.

    Loved your video. I have the Dewalt 7491 and the BOW fence. Didn't know the Jessem Guides were an option until I saw this. I ordered them today and am preparing the same set-up. I couldn't tell if you milled down the thickness of the 2x4 you used to mount this. I know you took off some width, but did you decrease the thickness at all - or just left it at 1.5 inch thickness. Thanks again for the video. I'm looking forward to this set-up.

  • @garycrisp8119
    @garycrisp8119 Месяц назад

    What a palaver, any decent carpenter would remove the door (without damaging the hinge rebates) and cut the door to size. In my case, more often than not with a hand saw

    The prices are a little steep for an extruded aluminium fence. The markup on this must be huge. Only a matter of time before China Tools (hooked on wood.....) undercuts this.

    Old school here, definitely should have 3 hinges, take the door off scribe a Stanley blade on the top side as circular saws cut up causing chips on end grain and painted surfaces even when using a triple chip blade. After cutting very light sand on the edges. Rehang the door, it’s a ball ache but that’s what I always did. Proper Job🤣

    • @Sunday_Builds
      @Sunday_Builds 2 месяца назад

      I would normally agree on the 3 hinges for traditional solid timber doors. But I've never had a solid core (e.g chipboard) door warp.

    • @gbwildlifeuk8269
      @gbwildlifeuk8269 Месяц назад

      Its not about the middle hinge preventing warping, its about better support for the weight. You did say it was a heavy door!

    Festool clamp and rail “SO”…1st.. a mortgage needed, then get a 2nd top up motgage for the Festool Track Saw and Vacuum for dust extraction. Then spend time clearing things out of the way to open the door wide enough, that’s if you can !! Then pray that you set the saw depth right so you don’t cut into the wall, architrave, skirting, or damage the carpet….. 😂😂😂 I’d Just take the Door Off‼️

      I personally prefer the look of 2 x 4" hinges that are rated for weight of door. It's a solid core door, so no concern of warping. If it was a solid wood door I'd agree and add a middle hinge

    There's a tool they sell at Home Depot that cost around $6 made by husky that has a silicone tip that will remove all excess caulk and it even has other functions like a old hard caulk remover or scraper. It even has three different sizes on the silicone tip. Tape gets really expensive especially that orange tape which is also aggressive on paint. Buy a tool once and use it many times or buy lots of tape, it's up to you. Have fun with your caulk guys ✌️

    • @Sunday_Builds
      @Sunday_Builds 2 месяца назад

      Yeah we have similar profile tools in UK that I normally use with silicon. But if you are using on a slightly textured or porous surface then it won't remove the smear that fills the texture. At least in my experience anyway!
