If you want to make Shaker doors quickly and precisely then just follow this method. Rout your groove on the long edges of your stiles and the long and short edges of your rails. Then all you need is slip tenons cut from same material as your panel, these just slip into the slot in the rail and stile. I have made thousands of MRMDF Shaker doors and there is no quicker more accurate method. You dont have to allow for your tenons on the rails so less chance of mistakes there and you never have to worry about the faces of your rails and stiles not being perfect as it is all referenced off your groove. Use 6mm panel with 18mm rail ams stile amd 9mm for 22mm rail and stile. The way you have done it is massively over complicated and relies on too many machined items fitting together, let dimensioned goods be your friend.
Hi! Thanks for feedback. I did consider floating tenon or possible using dominoes. When making shakers for larger drawers how do you deal with the void?
@@Dickie2702 Might be clearer if you see the final part - ruclips.net/video/7rwRqqeNLyQ/видео.html These drawer fronts are attached to a sub drawer. So having panel flush at back of shaker front helps to get better attachment to drawer itself
If only grandad had one of those to push the wood though then he would never had lost his thumb!
Glad you put safety first xx
Yes that is very true. Safety is key.
Great explanations.
Glad you liked it
Hello, great video. Where did you get the Woodpecker Stealth stop system from? Peter
Thanks Peter. I got the fence from woodworkersworkshop.co.uk/ and the Stealth Stop accessories I got from Woodpecker in the USA.
@@Sunday_Builds Thank you
