Nice to see a sportsfish vid pop-up :)
I just subscribed. You do awesome work and your completed boat will be a structural monster. I too have had a couple of surgeries that required multi month recovery time and this really took the wind out of my abilities to physically get things done. It looks like you have recovered well. I look forward to future videos and progress on your boat. With respect... Joe
So glad you’re back Bob! Thank you!
Was just wondering what was going on with this project. Good to hear you are back. Still blown away by the quality of your work.
Congrats, I understand, 5 years on my project. Shattered both bones in ankle few years ago and that killed about 1.5 years. I am not videoing anything, but I understand missing pic's with epoxy covered hands. Keep after it Bro..... Little steps make progress too,. kinda like pennies and dimes make dollars. Just words of encouragement,. I know,... you know. Edit; Looks Good , forgot that part.
Looking good. Great to see you back. Stay strong.
Good to see you back! Keep on with the boat! Cheers
Can't wait to see this on the water.. did you glass over the wooden superstructure on top? I have to rebuild my flybridge this winter on my 73 30 egg.
Niiiiice job Bob...congratulations. 😁
Glad you are back
Good to see you back at it mate
Hi Bob, welcome back. Glad to hear the surgery went well and your recovery is coming along. Those stringers are works of art and I, for one, won't miss those spider cracks in the gelcoat. I'm sure they gave your arms and back a workout, but the repairs look up to your normal high standards. Thanks for the episode and I look forward to the next. Take Care, Jerry
Man I was wondering where you went- so glad to have you back on here!!
Glad your Back up and running. Really enjoy seeing the quality of your work. It’s good to see someone who is willing to put in the effort to make it right. Life has a way of getting in the way of the best laid plans. Glad to hear you are doing great after the health issues you’ve had. Looking forward to your next video!
Go steady on the hills and easy on the curves and you'll get there. We enjoy anything you share.
Great to see you are back. You definitely do top notch work and enjoy the videos. Glad your health is good. Thx for posting when you can.
Good to see you back and glad the marina didn’t get shut down! Would have been a hassle to move the boat.
That is amazing work, sorry to hear about your heath issues, hopefully you are feeling better soon. Everyone in the CAD / GIS industry is busy for some reason companies can't find people. I keep getting phone calls from recruiters looking for workers.
Looks superb, got me thinking I really need to lift my game!
Great job for a crippled man 😂😂
Hey Bob, good to see your back!!! Wish You all the best! Keep Up the good work!👍👍👍👍👍
That's spooky, I was just thinking to myself this morning about how you are doing. Keep up the great work and stay well. Best wishes from the UK.
Glad to see you back, was hoping all was ok with you.
Wow, it's so good to have you back. You being healthy is even better. The boat work is superb. I look forward to more advancement on this project. I thank the Lord for your successful surgery.
Awesome work and VERY happy you are doing well
Hey! Ups and Downs are going around. Glad to see you making progress. Cheers
Great to see you again! Thanks for the update, glad things are looking up for you. Survive and advance!
I’m glad to hear your update. Welcome back. Sorry it’s been a rough year for you.
Glad to see you back working on the boat and that you’re doing okay after surgery. The stringers and hull interior came out beautiful. I know you’re a ways out, but curious if you have done any investigating or thought on how you may re-power in the future.
Hey Bob, great progress with all things considered, keep the faith!
Hi. Really nice to see You are back. Hell, i was afraid something bad had hit you.
1st in 9. 👍
Nice to see an update and glad to hear you’re doing better.
This is beautiful work.
good to have you back, excellent workmanship! Craftsman all the way!
So glad to see you back and hope the upward trend continues and accelerates

Just seen your channel today, and I’m just about where you are. I plan on watching all your videos
Sounds good. Hope you like them. Thanks for the comment.
One thing I don't understand is many people will make stringers out of foam and then wrap it with glass. Foam itself is about the strength of rotted wood anyway and has very little structural strength. Which begs the question is it the glass or the core that is giving the stringer its strength strength.
To take your thoughts further why are some boats built with a cored hull. Foam or balsa and others like the one I’m working on had no core material. Good question for the engineers out there. Thanks for watching and the comment. - Bob
How many layers of ffiberglass did u out over the transom wall
It is a single layer of 1708 fiberglass. - Bob
Why have the clearly weak point of stainless steel bits at all? The 3x layers of wood you used to make the centre piece, why not make the top 2 layers 5 or 10mm longer. Can match that "sticky out bit" with the 2x outside edges too. Then you can just cut that 5 or 10mm shape in the outer frame and epoxy it in.
If I were doing it now I would be making the channels wider and deeper. I believe they are too small. They have already caused clearance issues with my engine hatch drip edges and have made me rethink my hinge ideas. I had many ideas of how to do the overlapping part. One similar to yours. I will be making support/attachment brackets that the wood will sit on so there should be no pressure on the stainless piece. Any suggestions/ideas for sealing the stainless piece to the perimeter channels? I want these to be removable. My current thought is a thin layer of butyl tape but I’m open to any ideas. I would like to get working on these parts this fall maybe. Thanks for commenting & watching.- Bob
How are you doing ?
I’m doing fine. Thanks for asking. Hope you are too. I’m sure there are others wondering the same thing as it has been a while since my last video release. Had some delays getting back to boat work and just got back into it in May. No content to share basically. My plan is to wrap up the stringer project and a few others over the summer and put out a video in the fall. I want this to be the last stringer video. Too many. Thanks for the comment. - Bob
I did similar but on my ceiling each panel is removable
Good idea for hiding any overhead wiring. Thanks for watching and commenting. - Bob
Hope your spring has sprung! Miss your great content and inspiration.
Hey Joe, Didn’t make any progress over the winter. Too many reasons to list. Just getting back to work this weekend. Looking to be a lean year for videos unfortunately. I really need to get over the hurdles of the stringer & gelcoat crack repair projects this year. For my own inspiration. This means minimal distractions while working (AKA filming). I won’t be posting a video until I make some serious progress. Energy is high and looking forward to getting these projects behind us. I’m ready to be working on something new. Thanks for checking in. - Bob
More glass and run it.
Thanks for watching and the advice.- Bob
