SURFING DREAM WAVES IN SWELL TOWN! Newquay Cornwall + Ireland
The best waves of Summer!
I got up early, checked Fistral and then Watergate, the corner was firing; 3 to 5ft, sunny, offshore and almost empty - perfect conditions and epic waves.
That night we drove to Ireland, the chart looked good but when the swell arrived it was way better than expected; head high, glassy and super rad vibes in the line up.
The locals in Easkey were calling it, “the best day of the Summer.”😁

The water has warmed up and for the first time in a while the chart looked sick. When I went to bed I could hear the swell from my bedroom window, the waves had arrived! I was so excited I got up super early, made a cup of tea, waxed my new board and headed straight to the beach….😁☀️🤘

The waves pumped! We Started in Hikkaduwa and travelled South as far as Hiriketiya. Prawn curry, sunshine, elephants, lovely people and Lion Beer, Sri Lanka is epic🌻☀️😁

We tracked this swell for 7 days, the forecast showed it was lining up to be perfect for the Cornish North Coast; 2.4 metre swell, 14 second period with light South Easterly winds. I got to the beach early, it was pumping and everyone was amping…..sick🤘

Winter is here and the waves have been pumping! We’ve had a lot of Northerly winds so Fistral has been blown out heaps. Last week the chart showed that the wind might shift to South / South West the perfect direction for South Fisty. It was meant to stay like this for a few days but there was a massive storm looming. IRELAND is the coldwater surfing Nirvana. My mate Elvis who lives on the West Coast had shaped us some new boards and he was going to send them over but the chart looked sick so we decided to go and pick them up. The ferry docked and we drove straight to a magical left point that we knew would be firing…..🇮🇪☀️

We’d had 2 days of storms and then the wind dropped and went South Westerly. Day 1 I surfed the bay, it was big and most of the sets were closing out but there were a few peelerz in amongst the dredgers. Day 2 it pumped, Fistral was firing and I surfed until my arms went numb and I couldn’t see straight…..epic😁🤘☀️

The chart was sick, light offshores, 2 metre swell 17 second period. I checked Fistral, it was super crowded so I went to Watergate and it was pumping. Waves, sunshine, coffee and a large pasty….epic!

It was sunny but there was a storm brewing! Paddling out in the morning I could feel there was swell on the way. The chart said it would start to pick up in the afternoon; I knew it was gonna PUMP!

We travelled to Ireland overnight to collect new boards from Booglerize and hopefully get waves. When we got there it was tiny but the next morning it picked up….. Waves, music, mountains, Guiness, new boards and log fired saunas - Echtra, “A Celtic Surf Adventure.”

It was beautiful and we had waves. The swell was due to pick up the next day, the chart said 1.3 metres 12 second period. We got to the beach early and couldn’t tell how big it was but I was amping so I paddled out….☀️

2 days of perfect waves! The chart didn’t predict this swell very accurately so we were all surprised how good the waves were. I rode my 5.6 bonzer and the 7ft foamie…it was epic!

It was a good chart, some sites were giving it 5 stars. When the swell arrived the conditions were even better than predicted. Pumping waves and epic vibes in the line up. I rode my 5.6 bonzer throughout; she was flyin!

The chart said: 4-6ft West swell, 12sec period, SE wind. This is a sick chart for the North Coast of Cornwall. Day 1 it was head high and perfect at first light and it stayed like that all day. Day 2 the swell jumped to 8ft but I had an idea where would be firing. I surfed my 5.6 bonzer for the whole swell, everyone in the line up was amping.

Is there any good surf locations in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the rest of England? As someone from Gold Coast, Australia don’t really know much about surfing in the UK & Ireland. Love the videos mate and can’t wait to visit Cornwall 👍

the drive through Connemara is beautiful⛰️😁🌲but takes longer, the quickest route is up the East coast to Dublin and then West to Sligo🤘
