    Embrace the Era of recession, but not all companies are experiencing a downfall. Some companies grow and expand amid this Covid19. For those who are struggling and really work hard for their job application, your effort will definitely be paid off. I am a recruiter of one of the MNC company in Msia. Tips I can share with a fresh grad are: - Stay optimistic (think out of a box, great idea give value to a company) - Be positive (even in a hardship) - Upskill your leadership (be an initiator, organizer to small party/event, organize things) - Always willing to learn new things - Be Energetic. Energetic people trigger the hiring manager for a positive result P/S: Siew Ching, you have good critical thinking. I believe you gonna be successful someday or sooner. Love this group of people in this video.

    1. *You represent the customer* but some ignorant shop assistants treat you like a lower caste singaporean ordering you as if their staff or like talking to a beggar. 2. They entertain walk-ins with priority rather than 1st order first served basis. So even if your customer order was receives before a walk-in customer, they prepare for walk-ins first then if got time they entertain you. This is not every case though. If they can see that you represent the customer who allowed the merchant more sales while not using their restaurant then they may wake up and serve our customers faster. Their boss would understand thus but its the minions who are working on the ground

    I was taking lift up to deliver in a condo. A couple with China accent waited at the same lift with me. Only three of us . The lift opened with empty lift . I went in and the China accent man told the wife not to enter and I just went up alone. So it's true there is discrimination

  • @arrowstheorem1881
    @arrowstheorem1881 3 года назад

    Here is a story: 1. The 99%'s fares got lowered by delivery co. They are the super majority. Yet to them they are the 1% weakest. So they see no choice but to accept being shortchanged. 2. It's because the 99% Accept that they made it possible for the delivery co to squeeze them. Grabbed at the Balls, so to speak. Riders risk their lives per order just to earn a few miserly dollars. The weekend motorcycle fares used to be, what I been receiving, around $7 per trip but recently it's dropped. Even evening deliveries the fare seems to have become lower. If the 99% choose to accept, that's what it will be or get worse. If the 99% act on it, the delivery Co has to surrender.

    • @user-pe1wu9zb4x
      @user-pe1wu9zb4x 3 года назад

      Yes, Uber model bankrupts the day the 99% wakes up and unite. If riders stop taking 1 order concurrently, the delivery co will be in trouble

    point 1: Agree that people mature differently but letting a "matured" 14 y/o have sexual relations shouldn't be allowed as "maturity" is hard to define (as well as the pre-frontal cortex development is accomplished at the age of 25). A combination of mature, legal age, as well as a mature attitude, should be pre-requisites. The only thing government can impose is the age of consent. The rest is up to you and your partner to practice safe sex. point 2: Emphasis shouldn't just be placed on knowledge. It should be placed on actions and due diligence. If you didn't do your due diligence (know the person you're having sex with) and your actions weren't virtuous and were irresponsible then you should have a share of the blame. It is irresponsible to have sex with random people and the "victim" needs to bear some consequence/responsibility. [specifc to this example] point 3: consent can be given and taken away at any time. A strong healthy relationship with a respectful partner is the way to go!

    that’s like saying a married couple can bring up a child better than a single parent would?

    • @SGLayers
      @SGLayers 3 года назад

      I believe they were trying to elaborate that there are many things to consider when raising a child, be it age, maturity, income etc. Considering these things, it could be more difficult for a younger person (who's still starting out on their career, finishing school etc) to provide for a child as compared to someone older. But again, these thing are subjective to the individual's situation. Thanks for commenting!

    • @remy7663

      they do, statistics show them. look at the amount of single parented people in prison, performance in school is also affected. of course it's also possible for single parents to bring up a child better than a married couple, but you're nitpicking, most single parents didn't intend to be single parents.

This will also reduce stress on the sandwich generation in future ( this is what my parents r doing and I am very appreciative of it and I would like to do the same in future too. Giving back to your parents is then gratitude instead of a transactional one.

    Agreed 👍🏼 I feel like Cancel Culture has both it's good and bad side. If youve made insensitive comments on Twitter in the past based of ignorance or privilege, you should be held accountable for it and that's it. Some like to throw words around to make the offence seem more severe than they actually are. But us as an individual should know how to differentiate between the two based on our own judgement and not just to hop on the bandwagon of hate. For people such as DK. He has strong allegations against him, some involving the law, coming from the recepients themselves. And how he goes back and forth on addressing it does hit people in the wrong spots. Making us question the authenticity of his response. But no matter how severe the "crime" is, we should still be mindful on how our own words can affect their mental health. They are still human after all.

    • @SGLayers
      @SGLayers 3 года назад

      Thank you, you really framed the conversation perfectly!! It's really important to to differentiate between an actual crime and just jumping on the bandwagon. In the case of the DK, you also have a valid point in that we as the audience should extend support to the alleged victims but while we are watching this situation unfold we should also not cause undue harm. Really hopeful that the legal system will take corrective actions in this situation.
