SGLayers is a brand new channel! We aim to create interesting and engaging content to highlight the different conversations and viewpoints of Singaporeans. This series, Noted; is not centered around a debate to change the mind of individual participants, but it is simply a platform for conversation.
Music: Epidemic Sound
omg this is the kind of channel/content that the SG RUclips scene is lacking. Please keep going, y'all are gonna blow up for sure!!
Great display of the different perspective not only to a particular issue, but also on a single question.
great topic to address!! looking forward to the next video episode!
Interesting series!! Can't wait for the next episode of Noted!!
Good content! Instead of getting people from management and qualified speakers, the voice of the people who are affected are the key concern, CNA should learn from them!
Great realistic local content!! Keep up the good work!
Thank you! We're looking forward to creating more content too!
great content...this inspires me to take more extra co in NTU
Sign on!
i love this video!! just a suggestion though, as this was probably carried out through a video call, the audio isnt the most ideal, so i think captions would really help in this case!!
Yes, definitely! We're looking into ways to do that :)
Great content!
soooo relatable !!!
I heard that phrase 30 yrs ago and still they say I'm young😳
Good job :)
Cool stuff 👍
Embrace the Era of recession, but not all companies are experiencing a downfall. Some companies grow and expand amid this Covid19.
For those who are struggling and really work hard for their job application, your effort will definitely be paid off.
I am a recruiter of one of the MNC company in Msia.
Tips I can share with a fresh grad are:
- Stay optimistic (think out of a box, great idea give value to a company)
- Be positive (even in a hardship)
- Upskill your leadership (be an initiator, organizer to small party/event, organize things)
- Always willing to learn new things
- Be Energetic. Energetic people trigger the hiring manager for a positive result
P/S: Siew Ching, you have good critical thinking. I believe you gonna be successful someday or sooner. Love this group of people in this video.
Thanks for sharing these useful tips Alix! 😊
The dot animations constantly makes me feel like there's a bug crawling across my screen
Definitely see your point, will look into other formats!
May I ask which field can I over 40 years old man who has master degree in social work and unemployed for several years change please?
Mathematics + Electrical Person will get job first the rest may God bless understand
only certain of one thing, unemployment is certain at moment, or retrench
Hopefully things get better for everyone!
There is always a higher chance to get a job from a employment agent rather than a direct hire from the HR. If the advertisement is a direct from HR, it may be a phantom position to proof there is fair practices for Employment pass holder or S pass holders.
Wah, I actually didnt think about this. It does seem to be true, since most of the time, the HR replies saying that this job is no longer available even when the application window is still open. This doesn't make sense at all.
Be prepared to stay jobless for next 4 years
Creative young minds will always find a way to adapt and adjust to situations! Let's be optimistic and supportive :)
I thought should be 5 years, or until the next GE.
Otherwise its still NS to singaporeans; bond-free scholarships + good jobs to foreigners & PRs
Why does the audio suck
:(
Instead of just talking and sharing views among your own peers, why not think of ways to engage the govt (aka pap) for more effective public conversation?
Don't allow the following to propagate:
NS to singaporeans; bond-free scholarships + good jobs to foreigners & PRs. Well done PAP
What the point of wasting more taxpayers money for organising such facade like job fares, when most of the better jobs go to foreigners?
