Calling it now the water starter for as is a scorbunny here are my reasons: *Scorbunny was based off of generation 3s wa rabbit. * 3 5 8 *Delta versions of pokemon (where pokemon had their types swapped ) was a gen 3 tcg mechanic *Gen 3 & 6 are linked to each other * Water polo is considered a water version of football ⚽ * Water polo was invented in England , galar is based on England *Water polo was first played as an Olympic sport in the 1900 Paris Olympics *Game freak likes to revisit old unused content often.

In the episode when heracross is added to ash team pincer is said to be enmeys or rivals and in the episode they are depeted as rivals
I mean back in the day pinsir and scyther were usually clumped together but once gen 2 happened scyher evooved leaving pinsir behind and so heracroas was it’s other side
They get treated as rivals in the overworld of Pokemon Reborn (fan game). So, that’s somewhat affirming what a lot of us thought lol But it’s nice to know they get along! 😊
