Biggest pet peeve is when a mechanic doesn’t clean the motor when rebuilding. You have cleaned the internals it’s not much more effort to make that engine look new to. Cool video though.

How many hp or lbs of boost are you rocking in that thing ? Did you do forged internals on the bottom end ?

Mine probably looks like that. It could be from mixing different kinds of coolant, they will coagulate when mixed.

Your pump sounds like it might be dying with your fuel pressure issue also check the fuel filter might just be time to replace. I have an electric rack if you’re interested in what I did to make it all work. Also in the tune you can set the driver to be at full on at all times since you now have a return fuel system I’m on the HPT forum lost0187 is my user name.

Also be very careful running the truck with the stock tune and if you have the stock 24lb injectors. I have some base roush SC 38 lb injectors if you need a set not sure what your fuel system is. You will lean out up top due to the SD maf being off from actual. Also noticed you have comp cams you will hit valves if you don’t adjust the vct system or delete it. Base fuel pressure in the OE calibration is 39.15 to 40.02 psi using the rail sensor and FPDM I know you have a return fuel system set it to 40 psi base and if it’s vacuum referenced it will had a lb of fuel per pound of boost as you increase load.

Does the truck have any calibration work done yet? What size injectors and brand are you running? What is the fuel system return and are you running the stock pump with the FPDM or is it deleted? Wanna help so it last along time so if you need a hand with the tune let me know.

I was given a free mustang didnt know about this problem drove it for 2 months then the transmission broke took the whole thing out accidentally broke something while putting it back together got the part but havnt took it apart yet again to replace that one piece way at the end when everything is out basically to put it back together and hope it works

Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have 2 questions. If someone could help me out, id appreciate it. I just replaced the timing cover gasket, and water pump gasket on my 04, 3.9l mustang. Now i have to replace the lifters, bcuz I noticed (it sounds like) one of them is collapsed. If i replace the head gaskets, will that interfere with the timing cover? #2, the engine has over 250,000 miles on it. The head gaskets aren't leaking, but everything else, IS. Im thinking about replacing all the seals in the engine. Im worried, if i replace the head gaskets, and the heads are warped, then it might cause other issues, right?

Btw: 12-hole injectors from '06-09 Ford Fusion 2.3L I-4 or any Jeep Cherokee 4.0L I-6s work as well.

Too bad you couldn't find a '06-07 Saab 6-speed....

hey brother i feel your pain, and having been in your shoes b4 with the same dilema its hard especially the dog part. ugh :( i miss your videos and i still am working on my 08 f150 my self im in the middle of balancing a job and doing life too even @ 37 its still hard. My project is almost done too i have the super charger mounted and now stuck on doing belts an coolant hoses and vaccume lines. the truck wont stay ideling on its own i think it cuz it needs a SC tune right now i have the MPT 93 tune inside there. anyways keep your head up and relly look foward to the truck content and inspiration.
