Really loved the comment about hunting vintages-- as someone who has some, I still agree with you that modern iterations are still great-- but it's a double-edged sword- you might be missing piles of oakmoss and actual animalics that have been regulated and relegated by IFRA and/or animal rights activists but the top notes (especially in hesperidic perfumes) will have deteriorated immensely in your vintage formulations so... In the end, it's just kind of fun to try them both and appreciate both of them for what they do!! I love eau d'Hermès!! Another one I'd love to get your opinions on (from roughly the same time) is Patou's Lasso by Guy Robert..!!! Great video and great perfume! 🎉

Just wanted to say that they don't credit perfumers because Baptiste made all perfumes with the exception of 18-12, which is made by his mother, the other brand owner. He told us this when we met him at an event in amsterdam earlier this month.

she also made another fougere for Miraj, a Romanian house. The scent is called Fujer. I bought it hoping it would be a hidden gem and in the same class as IB and SoF, but it's not. It's not bad, but it's just a little too mainstream for me, like she was asked to create a designer, department store fougere. I've really enjoyed her work for Jul et Mad, though. I think both Mon Seul Desir and Fugit Amor are worth sampling. Thanks for recording this video!

Love Parfum d’Empire and Histoires! 2 of my favorites in the (albeit small) collection are Tabac Tabou and 1740. Both fairly challenging to most people, I absolutely adore them.

I sampled this last month! It's quite well constructed from what I can remember. I didn't catch the narcissus...will keep an eye out for it next time I revisit my sample.

Have you done a comparison with the older bottle to see if the scent is still the same. Some people on Fragrantica claim it has been reformulated.

I used to my full sample of this. Really enjoyed it.

Orange + Cilantro + Fresh Corn Tortilla. I love the way it smells. Always makes me want a margarita with chips and salsa.

i'm definitely a woods and amber kind of guy.. so i'll definitely be grabbing a discovery set from this brand. neroli is probably one of my least favorite notes for a perfume to be heavy in.. so i'll probably end up passing on this particular one, but who knows.. in this heat, it may just work. let's hope this comment doesn't disappear like mine did on your last video. hope you're doing well.
