Hello can a doctor from Morocco do the medical residency in Italy?

I am going to sit the IMAT in 2025 to get into Torino as an older student. I was born in 1989 and am almost 35 years old. However, throughout my life, I was berated for being 'too old' for a lot of goals. It did not help that during all of my 20s, I was physically and mentally destroyed due to several illnesses, which is why I am in this situation I'm the first place. My question is, for someone at age 35 going to begin Medicine, what tips would you give to brush off constant negative or mean comments from others about how old one is? I have always had problems with comparing myself with others, since where I was born and raised, the San Francisco Bay Area, it is not only totally common to judge and compare yourself with others, but it is also almost compulsory in society here. For example, what would you do if someone had a 'best friend' would tell them that they were a loser for beginning Medicine at age 35?

The absence of practical education made me kinda question my choice of studying Italy cuz my bff just learned how to do sutures and draw blood as a 2nd year of med student. I want to ask you if this is going to be a problem after graduating med school and start working as a doctor? Or is it smt you can overcome by putting extra effort etc? I will be 33 or older when I have enough saved to study medicine in Italy. When I read old and then you said starting at 23, I LOL'ed. Thank you for your videos! I traveled and had fun in my 20s. I will finish my nursing degree in the US this May at 29. Sometimes I think about my age, but the truth is that we will be getting older whether we are working toward our goals or not.

Now I’m pursuing a different interest at a foreign university that is more financially doable for me at the moment. I still do have firm intentions to return to medicine when I become financially independent. Though I started med school at 16, here I am: almost a decade passed and not a degree in hand. 😂 I’ve been thinking a lot about my age these days and whether I might have to give up on medicine completely. But your video gives me hope ❤ I’m 24 now and hopefully might get to start medicine after saving up … so prolly at 30. 😅

thank you very much for your awesome video, I would love to ask you 3 questions. 1.) Im a canadian student who is planning to go to english speaking medical school in Italy. If i graduate from italian medical school, can i do specialization training in Italy as non-eu citizen? 2.) I heard in spain, if you are non-eu citizen you can only do specialization training from international slot that only allocates 4% of the seat. Does Italy only give small slots for specialization training if you are non-eu citizen (even if you got your medical diploma from Italy)? 3.) If i decided to study in other EU country like romanian medical school, can I still do specialization training in Italy? (I heard that there is recognition of medical diploma amongst EU countries. But since im non-eu citizen, I was curious if my romanian medical diploma will be recognized in Italy.) That was a long post but thank you very much for taking the time to go over it. I loved your video and I would love to recommend it to anyone who might be in similar situation as me. 👍
