Great video, The simpliest check is hook a Manometer to the dipstick tube and check readings. 1 to 3inHg in the Crankcase would be good to know. 7 of 19 BMW engines have 0.0mbar at hot/idle. Vacuum pulls heat away from the ring pack and many engines don't have enough designed in to the PCV System for good function.

Cool to see to you test an E39 V8 :) How long is the 15 psi pressure supposed to hold? I'm testing cold my X5 2002 3.0 M54, and the pressure drops from 20psi to 15 psi in 10 minutes, and from 15 psi to 10 psi in another 10 minutes. Not seeing any leaks.

Thanks for posting the tool. Broke a cheap universal kit. So gonna try this. if it gives me problems still. It will be time to add fire. Hope I don't need to cut off wheel this pulley. But the fact that it dumped a qt of lucas ps stop leak in a little over 20 min. I betting it's cooked and almost fused together.

@Adamsanalysis how did you do second test by just cranking and not actually starting the car, i dont get it.

My truck will spin the starter a few times as the the voltage drops to 0 and the crank won’t spin. But I can spin crank by hand
