I have the same kind of lyric insert on a Suzanne Vega album. I can say for certain that the only live concert i have ever seen recorded in Norway was by Tanita Tikaram. It was from her tour for The Sweet Keeper. It was recorded at some kind of outdoor venue which reminded me of rock quarry. Very interesting looking place to have a concert. There is actually a similar kind of place near where my relatives live and there's been some theatre productions shown which i've never been to. Pasi
@@6758pasi Tanita was briefly a giant in Norway. Her first was at number 1 for weeks if I remember correct. Her 2nd and 3rd albums made it to 2nd and 12th place which was much higher than most other countries. Ah, I think that must have been Kalvøyafestivalen in 1989 where she played at the same days as Tracey Chapman and Dum Dum Boys.
I don't exactly remember when i decided, but i decided to stop buying Rolling Stones live albums after 2006 tour. I now have a live album from every tour between 1966-2006. I have more than one from a couple of tours during that time, i think that's enough. Didn't buy Hackney Diamonds either, i'm sure i would've liked it, but i felt that the Stones ended with Charlie. I was never a fan of beer, i did drink a little bit in the very early days, but stopped ages ago. Pasi

10.000 different beers? Huh. I buy a beer only after maratons. So it is like two beers per year. Normally drink only non alcohol beers. It is going to be fourth year without drinking. I am no absolutist, could take glass of wine...but when it is not habit, wine dont taste good anymore.

@MortenAastad I fully understand.
Thanks for the shoutouts Morten. I hope the album is selling better in your part of the world. Not selling in the US much. Can't help but wonder if the "sub-par" artwork (in my opinion) contributes to this lack of sales. Because Shepherd's Bush and Wiltern are great shows. I especially like the video. Many are complaining about Shepherd's Bush being split-screen, but I loved it. I hope you do too. I know you look forward, like me, to the deeper cuts versus the typical classic tracks over and over again. I give you props for also buying the vinyl, I didn't..lol. Hi Morten. That Tracey Chapman record has rocketed up in price in the UK in recent times. It used to be a charity shop staple but now you'd be lucky to find one for £20. As you’ve probably worked out, I’m playing catch up. There maybe some radio silence for a bit as I’ll be away for a bit after Chrimbo. We are the Yin & Yang of the VC. My videos are full of negativity 😂 I think people have lost the ability to understand constructive criticism anymore. Your review of Bernard Butler was honest & not negative at all to me. Just telling it how you felt & you have credibility because you’re a big Suede fan so your critique comes from a bit of prior knowledge 👍 Hessie was what gave Crowded House their spark. As you know it’s the Enz all over the way for me. I gotta be honest even though it’s been reviewed favourably I still haven’t checked out PJ. The Lemon Twigs are brilliant. If you ever get the chance to see them live don’t hesitate. They fantastic live. Like with Crowded House drummers are important to me & Sleater Kinney just don’t do it for me since they hey parted ways with Janet. I have all of their albums & have seen them many times. Again the juice is gone imho. It’s like contemplating the Stones without Charlie. Can’t do it. I love Super Furry but have yet to check out Rhys’s stuff. Cure newie 👍 Unfortunately we have to accept that Maiden & all those others we love are getting old and with age even rockstars suffer the same ailments as mere mortals & even death from years of hard living. It’s sad but inevitable. Sorry to end on a negative note. Cheers…Ben
@@benrankins4446 Thanks Ben. I agree with your view in contstructive criticism. I really felt I needed to convey how baffled I was about that pardon me sodding album. And I've loved his work and was looking forward to this. Oh well, thank the sodd for the Ryder-Jones album I say. Yeah, Crowdies weren't the same after... Good ol' Hessie. I was reallt upser when he passed. Not least because I had tickets to see the Finn Brothers in less than a week and being such a HUGE Split Enz fan it was my one chance to have seen Tim Finn. They were in Oslo a few months prior on a promotional thing and I won their CD signed by them both. It os one of my dearest posessions. I loved Hessie so much I even got the Tarmac Adam album. Not that I dislike Elroy Finn, or Matt Sherrod or poor late Peter Jones, but the Crowdies without Hester and Mark Hart? Just feels... wrong. Mind you this album is far better than the previous and I think Liam must have added a bit of energy this time round. If you do get a chance to check out Gruff his solo debut Yr Atal Genhedlaeth is entirely in Welsh whilst the follow-up Candylion is probably my favorite. He he Chrimbo 😄 I don't sense any negativity from you, just honest and well honed antipodean sarcasm, which is something I really appreciate having brought myself up on world class british sarcasm. I'm a lot more sarcastic, ironic and deadpan on my own, years working in customer service in tourism and public transport most likely affects my videos where I early on decided to be as possitive as I feel I can be. There's too much critisism and downgrading of peoples efforts on this planet as is. You go to an outcrop and see some wonderful 45000 year old art by an aboriginal fellah and you say something like "my 5 year old does way better fingerpainting than that!" then you end up with a world about to turn into 2025. Yes, of course we have to accept that those lads are on their last legs,Adrian seem to be on good form working with that Kotzen fellow mind. Cheers Ben. Appreciate the excellent nice long comment 😊
Bye Oslo! I don’t know if the filming made it look that way but that looked like a large record store. Lovely present from the hotel. Love an upgrade. Magic view. 30th floor is cool but from experience when I was on the 38th floor in Yokohama when there was an earthquake, that was not so magic 😂 Sweden has had some great stoner/sludge stuff come out over the last few years. Cool artwork too. Cardigans is a fun album. I have heaps of music in different languages (Sigur Ros even made up their own language) & I love foreign language films with subtitles too. I need to get another copy of the Cure’s new album. I stupidly bought the bio vinyl one & it sounds shit. Great songs though. There’s a double vinyl version which is meant to sound good which I hope to get soon. Wish was their last great record imho opinion before the latest one. Hope you’re well & have a great time however you celebrate this time of year mate 👍 Cheers…Ben
It is a pretty big record store. I think it is an old Cinema Theatre. Probably my favorite record store in Sweden... Oooh, earthquake at 38th floor?!? Ouch... Yes I am now getting aware of Swedens stoner and sludge stuff. I love the Cardigans and not least their Black Sabbath covers. When I went to the European film college in Ebeltoft, Denmark, one of the students was Georg Holm. The bassplayer from Sigur Rós 😊 I wasn't aware the sound on that bio vinyl was so bad? I'm not a huge audio kind of person and can't really play that loud in the flat. Also I ended up playing the CD over and over in stead as it kind of took up residency in my CD tray 😊
Thank you Ben. I arrived here in Denmark and discovered the electric heats been on for 3 months because the people who are supposed oversee after people who rent haven't done their job properly. Hey Morten! Ah, the Motherland. I just checked rate of US $ vs. Swedish Krona, it is 11 to 1, was 7 to when I was there. That is painful! Very nice of your friends! God Jul my friend!
@@AisForAliceBisForBob God Jul Steve.
Think the one with Sleater-Kinney that you also sending me is from 2023. Nice to see Bruce Dickinson in the end of the video.
@@RandarosMusicworld It was released January 19, 2024. God Jul 🎄
@@MortenAastad Ok it stand on the vinyl 2023 therefore
Nice view at the hotel. God tur til Jylland. The Cardigans is a good listen no matter what.
@@RandarosMusicworld Tak, ja det var en oplevelse. Nina Person is alway worth it.
Tears for Fears is my Favourite Cd I own 👌👌👌👌
@@HomeCinemaEnthusiast A beautiful sounding record.
Nice views indeed. Need to check that Vermillion Sky album. Never been in Gothenburg. Once in Malmö when visiting headquerters of CDON and HomeEnter.
CDON... Been a while since I thought about them!
@MortenAastad Those were my customers when I was working in film industry. HomeEnter went down, but CDON seems still be there.
Cool experience Mort. Hope u enjoy your xmas time. Safe travels
Thank you. God Jul 🎄
Will it be again next year?
@@morespaces9061 Not sure, I can't seem to find any information that gives the impression but I can't see why not.
