Damn, another Echo record that I am missing! I have never heard Reverberation but I have the 12" single for Enlighten Me from that record. It's a really great track! Maybe Ian should sing it in concert sometime.
@@EmbryonicRobot lovely record this but again, seems more like one of Ian’s solo albums. Which is ok, they are like Simple Minds now, essentially a two man show.
Hi Morten!! Well done and more great stuff added, now Echo and the Bunnymen..... you must be right, they kind of an underrated Uk band that doesn't much exposure here in the VC. Unfortunately down here they only are known with just a few songs.... so let's hope they decide to release new music in the near future. cheers and be well
@@cristianosorio2517 They did make a bit of impact in the US but I think it mostly came from soundtracks like Pretty In Pink. The non album single Bring on the dancing horses appeared on that soundtrack. Thank you Cristian.
EatB are fabulous. Finally got Porcupine a few months ago. I obviously knew their radio hits in the early days, but they didn´t quite click for me then. Early 90´s I found a used OG of Ocean Rain(plays VG++ today) and thought I´d give it a chance - I was Blown away by this Fantastic album. I need to get back into them and dive deeper.
@@MortenAastad hahaha jeg har min snorkel, flippers og korkbælte på.. ps. Jeg købte min første 2025 lp igår hos Record-Pusher i Odense : Jordan the comeback :D
@@MortenAastad er din ikke blå og rød vinyl ? Discogs og Imusic viser min (blå og rød) som 2024, men bag på cover står 2019.. 2019 version var sort vinyl x 2.. Min lyder FANTASTISK !! NUL clicks og pops og Meget dynamisk og clean.. Hører The Ice Maiden nu :D
@@stevecarlsonvinylcommunity9147 After they reformed with 1997's Evergreen, which was very Bunnymen, this one, allthough very nice, sounds almost entirely as a Ian McCulloch solo album. I know the guitarist dislikes this strongly. I guess I mention it sounds more like his Candleland.
Hey Morten! I know the name very well, but I don't think I could tell you or recognize a song or album by them. Which album is considered their must have? Cheers!
@@AisForAliceBisForBob Debut Crocodiles, the amazing 3rd album Porcupine maybe trumfs the second, but the biggest hits is mostly on 4th album Ocean Rain which is perhaps also the most approachable?
@ I think all their 5 pre-breakup albums are great. Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine, Ocean Rain and Echo & the Bunnymen (the 'grey album') 😊 It's Doors meets post punk-ish (term we don't like) goth Cure Joy Division but all their very own so there?
Evergreen is brilliant. Flowers on cd suffered from volume wars to the extent that its sound is distorted, not sure if they corrected it with the vinyl version.

Still opening 2024 orders... Remember the Recordless January Challenge. Echo had nice tracks in early days.
@@TommysVinylnaut Yes Tommy. This one I pre-ordered this summer. Video is about a month old.
@MortenAastad I had free time and made several videos ready for january.. Next week back to work and then changes to do new videos weakens.

Echo and the Bunnymen are supposed to have a new album in the can with Clem Burke of Blondie on drums! Hopeful release soon!

After the 80s I thought the Bunnymen had disappeared. Did this album have the same 80s vibe or was it a lot different?
