@@SveinGull Right this minute I'm on the 30th floor in my hotelroom here in Gothenburg Sweden, and in my Bengans bag is vinyl copy of... Wish by the Cure 😊
That Bdb soundtrack is also one I need because it’s brilliant too - thanks for watching my video and the shout out - glad you enjoyed James channel- good choices / I’ve been able to pick up most of the OCS vinyl reissues on RSD versions and I’ve got all the Fannies stuff too Oooo I forget about the Crowded House album - that’s brilliant- need that one- I’ve got a copy of Woodfave on vinyl though - great picks 👍🫡🇬🇧
Hi Morten!!! great response to this thread..... if i think about doing a proper response i would have to show almost all my collection, lol!!! I think U2's "Achtung....." is the last good studio album they did and is worth trying to add in vinyl. Cool Temple of the Dog deluxe boxset. Hope you can get some of those cd on vinyl soon, but for a good/price. cheers and be well
Great response Morten, and thanks for the shout-out. I have an even more shocking U2 statement - I don't own anything by them on any format! I did used to have Under a Blood Red Sky on CD (one of the first CDs I ever got actually) which I used to really enjoy, but it somehow went missing from my collection many moons ago and I've never got round to replacing it. Agree about Teenage Fanclub, I would love to own their first few records on vinyl. I used to have Woodface by Crowded House on CD and that also went missing and now I have nothing by them, though I do have a couple of Split Enz albums on vinyl, and the first Finn Brothers album on CD. Nice to hear kind words about Wales, I'm from there but oddly enough I've never been a fan of any Welsh band - Manics, Stereophonics, Catatonia, Super Furries...have nothing by any of them. I did see the SFAs live back in the day though, and they were excellent. I do love John Cale and have lots by him so that gets me off the hook with the Wales thing. Cheers, James
@@jamesgriffithsmusic Diolch James. I love all those bands. I remembered after I could have shown Catatonia CD's I want on vinyl as well. My Split Enz vinyl collection is nearly complete, but as I tried to explain in a sensible way in my Split Enz nearly complete video this summer, turns out their first international album isn't quite the same as their first New Zealand/Australia album. So that's one I keep looking for at a reasonable price. And Living Enz on vinyl, their farewell double live album. Glad to do this, take care, Morten
Temple of the dog deluxe edition looked great. Well done package. This could be thread to join...I have many CDs that I never bought as vinyl. Ofcourse there are some never released as vinyl, too.
Too many other albums to choose from Morten. I try to look at each year to see what my top 10 favorite albums were and the. Look into getting them on vinyl. Often times I can not do it
G'day Morten, I have a lot of 90's Australian indie stuff which I picked up at shows which will probably never see a vinyl reissue. I'd love the get Howdy! & Man-made on vinyl. I have all the earlier ones on vinyl. I have a not very shocking statement. I don't have any U2 on anything 😂 You have reminded me that there was a fantastic band called Sparklehorse who's 4 albums need to be on vinyl...well I've never seen them. Funnily enough Songs Of A Lost World is the first Cure album I have got on vinyl since Wish for the very same reasons you mentioned. I know you like grunge Morten, but I'm not sure I've heard you mention bands like Mudhoney, Tad, Love Battery, Skinyard & really Screaming Trees. Do you dig those bands? They're the cream of the grunge crop imho. Cheers...Ben
@@benrankins4446 G'day Ben. Sparklehorse is something I've heard mentioned here and there, but I may have thought it was an artist in the tv series Portlandia. I have 4 or 5 Mudhoney CD's, I showed TAD records in two of my record store videos and I got a video comming from a trip to the 2nd hand store in a week or two where I got another. I have 3 Screaming Trees CD's and would love more, but some seem to be out of print even on CD. I also got a rareties album from them for RSD in April, and showed Mark Lanegan records a couple of times, CD's he made with with Isobel Cambell. I also consider L7 to be sort of a tertiary part of that along with Green River. The last bands you mentioned I guess I'm not familiar with, allthough Skin Yard I know of from reading about them and seeing them mentioned in the history lf Grunge. Cheers from Morten 😊
@ I do remember the solo Mark Lanegan that you have shown. I really love the first 3 Screaming Trees when they were on SST. I think they’re easy enough to get. I watch so many videos I’m at the point of not sure who shows what anymore so sorry for not remembering your sterling taste with Tad, Mudhoney, L7 & Green River. Skin Yard were Jack Endino who is probably better know for recording a lot of the early sub pop bands 👍
It's strange isn't it that you can end up with absolutely nothing on vinyl by a band you really like. For me that band is Nirvana. By the way I have none of the albums you showed on vinyl. Cheers Mike 👍
Hi! Nice video! Of these I've got Achtung and Wish on vinyl. Beck and Temple are on my wish list.😊

@@mikevinylspiral It is, but price and timing are factors I guess. Getting into a band back in the 90's is an example.
