Very nice job! I'm looking to start a garage myself, Where did you get your blueprints? I need to get a set for permitting. Looking to do about the same size but add a shed roof on the side for parking. My sister in law had a house built and bought a 110v winch off Amazon ($100) which I hung in the attic. So she can push a button and she winches boxes up and down from the attic. Nothing heavy, Christmas decorations ect. Works great! Just a suggestion!

Very interesting. Im planing to do something like this for our small farm in Sweden and i have a question. Is it possible to go really slow and is the motor strong then? 2-6 km/h is the perfect speed for us. The plan is to use it for get rid of weed in our land for vegetables and then it need bigger wheels, 64 cm diameter.

There is enough space in the "attic" that you could have used some for storage, so installing collapsible ladder access with a larger, framed access hole would have been nice. Wifi switches are nice, but for those who worry about signal interruption or someone hacking your system, since you trenched for conduit, you can run switch legs to a switch inside the house as well.

  • @TwilightxKnight13

The main thing to remember when installing an out-building subpanel is you must install separate ground rods (most AHJ require two) and do not use the bonding screw. You want your EGC and neutral to be separate on a subpanel. The only place to use the bonding screw is at the main service panel. Also, you can save yourself from drywall finishing headaches if you carefully plan your receptacle locations so they do not wind up on a seam. It is much harder for a novice to mud/tape over an outlet and keep the wall flat and smooth. Keep your electrical box cut outs tight by running the cutout blade along the inside edge of the box (not the outside), but angle it slightly away from the box. It will create a "soft" edge that will "pop" right over the box and remain tight around the edges so there is no risk of gaps when you install the covers. This also helps prevent "run away" of the cutting tool due to the rotation of the cutting blade. Not sure if you considered adding a small 1/2 bath (powder room). Plumbing can be tricky, but you'll wish you had it when you need to use the bathroom while covered in saw dust and/or grime. Wives definitely hate it when you track your filth through their clean house. ;-P

good job. quite amazing really.. one guy on YT spent 12k on his garage, but there is no insulation, no electricity, no network, No sheetrock, and the trusses are not nearly as sturdy as yours, and he did not have any garage doors and he did not add in the foundation or how it got there. He did have a foundation but I didnt see if he added that.. I mean, you need lights in your garage. So that other guy just put up a shell. But you have a "garage". And you put in cabinets and a work bench and a TV and all that tubing and wiring.. That's how you do it. But ya speaking of WIFI.. Alexa is a neccessity. Just interface your apps for the lights with Alexa and give Alexa a verbal command is even better than using the app. I have plugs for lights and bulbs that have built in Wifi..And it all goes through Alexa. Now my mom wants a Wifi Thermostat for her house. By the way, I tried searching for your Channel Name and it didnt come up. Your channel name sounds like a "task" rather than a channel name. So, I think it confuses the YT algo.

4 year old video but hoping you still watch comments and might have a suggestion. Any idea why yaapu doesn't recognize my telemetry data even though telemetry values are populated? I was hopeful this video is what I was looking for but it didn't get into how to get the script to see my data. I'm using a Spektrum receiver and the new SkyID gps/telemetry module that populates my telemetry with gps speed, altitude, coordinates, etc. but while running the script it just says "no telemetry data" and "NO GPS" even though my GPS coordinates do appear on the script. That's really the only thing that does show up. I know yaapu wasn't specifically written for what I'm trying to do with it but figured it should see it as long as the telemetry values are there. Thoughts? I asked on the EdgeTX Discord server and was told "Yaapu Lua telemetry widget works with FrSky passthrough and CRSF passthrough".

Thank you for this video. I too am building a Tarot 650 Sport and plan to use 17" propellers. When I discovered that the arms were too short I was going to try to splice a longer piece of tubing, but decided instead to follow what you did. I also had to replace the wires going to the motors from the ESCs (I've mounted the ESC's in the central body).

I am planning a 650 Sport build and have some questions. What gauge wire did you use for ESCs? I’m planning on 12 wag. Where did you get the late for mounting the Pixhawk? It's not glue it's resin and it's not paper it's cloth for goodness sakes. This is terrible. When u use a Dremel to sand it doesn't sand level and destroys the weave of the fiberglass cloth.

Once you get the first run of decking on the roof, and if you have access to a front end loader, you can lift the rest of your decking up even with the edge of the roof. Eliminates running up & down the ladder. Nice job by the way. I built most of my shop by myself too.

What you did with your skill set was fantastic. Don't be to hard on yourself. The building is something to be proud of. You and everybody else who has built a shop wishes they had done other stuff. You cannot have enough outlets. You can add other stuff over time as your shop develops or your priorities. A 2 poster car lift would be a nice addition in time. (Don't know if you are car minded.) A nice way to let your neighbours or friends repair theirs.(payback for all their help.) Enjoy your shop. 🙂
