As a chrysler technician, everything you have said is 100% wrong, that message means there could be a number of things wrong with the def system. from a leak, to anything electrical. That service message is not always associated with an engine light. It will 100% damage your scr and dpf systems. Do maintenance on your vehicle and this shit wont happen😂

Im seeing that the codes are for bad def injector on the exhaust or bad def pump..repair doesnt look horrible..spare parts, code reader and tools could make life easier than waitin on the dealer. Def pump requires a $40 removal tool for a lock ring. Also keep pb blaster on hand to soak the small def injector bolts, that hold it in place. I keep a spare nox sensor too. I just grab parts on ebay at a decent price. Not payin 1000s for factory parts. Ex: oem nox sensor was 800, ebay had them for 120; bought 2. Or delete it all for about $2k and hope itll pass inspection

Been using the Mr. Heater 30,000 btu propane heater for several winters now. The only problem i have with it is the pilot light won't stay lit when it gets cold outside. Works every day but the day you need it to work. I spend most nights re-lighting the pilot every hour just to keep from freezing.

How did you reach underneath to make that electrical connection

I have a 1995 763 & you turn the key to the left & hold for 20-30 seconds for the pressure to release. Engine not running of course.

Repairman said we needed a new board after their replacement igniter failed in less than 2 years. They had used an aftermarket metal strip ignitor instead of the Goodman OEM prong type. Called another repair service and they said that's OK but touching the metal strip with bare fingers will cause ignitor to fail prematurely. I told our repair service to use the OEM replacement ignitor, and use gloves! OK so far.

We checked everything and replaced the following chronologically - gas valve, pressure switch, transformer and now going to try control board. This is a Goodman gmp075-3 and it would run thru entire start up cycle all the way to igniter lighting, but then sometimes gas appeared to not release in last step and heat would intermittently not turn on in the home? The igniter appears bright red / clean, but last step of gas igniting intermittently fails??? Appears to be 9 volts instead of 24 volts. Coming from control board so going to try to replace that as hoping threes a charm. Very frustrating process

Great video Shane. I still have an issue however. My Goodman furnace has a 4 flashing red light signal and the manual indicates that it's an "open limit switch". I jumped the two leads to the limit switch and get the same 4 flashing lights. Replaced the limit switch ($6)and mother board ($80) and same 4 red flashing lights. After viewing your video I hooked up the multimeter to the power feed to the igniter, ran the motor for 2-3 minutes and it shows that there is no power getting to the igniter. I'm stumped. Any ideas on what the problem and solution might be??

hope your still around i got a 463 bobcat ,lift bar works great ,bucket lifts fast thats ok ,bucket drop is very slow , this is foot controlled ,i have replaced the pedle bushings ??

My Goodman gas furnace, the ingniter glowed, but the gas didn't turn on. The control board did three short flashes every 2 seconds or so. Any ideas?

Hey Shane, great video bud. Good advice on the date code as well and the longevity of the product as well. Something you might want to consider or even include in your video is the application to the underside of any shrubs or bushes, ect. It looks like your yard is mainly cut down like a lawn so to speak so your applying to everything you consider yard space. But for those who have bushes it’s probably worth telling them that they need to apply the product to both the top and bottom sides of the leaves because the mosquitos like to hide when they can and an application to just the top side may not affect the mosquito as intended, in which case might make you look bad because people will say hey we tried it and it didn’t work when in fact it would work had they applied it to 100% of the plants and vegetation in the area they are treating. Just thought that could be of use in your already useful and thorough video and obviously it’s gonna be hard to cater to everyone but I think that tip will get you that much further. Ive seen some applicators on Amazon I believe that are designed for doing just that, reaching the underside of things your treating, but if someone already has it in mind that they need to pay special attention to the underside then they can succeed themselves if they in fact make an effort to make that happen when they spray down the area. Hope this will help those that may have overlooked the underside application need.

Thanks! I have a Goodman outdoor gas pack style furnace. I followed your logical steps and found mud daubers had somehow clogged the pressure tube orifice. Cleaned and furnace works! I appreciate your help!

You sound like hank hill and are sharpening a mower 😂 Nice video though man, im about a third of the way through, there is a old push mower in the shed that belonged to the previous owner of the house. It's blunt as a butter knife but it runs fine. I've been restoring the shed (was starting to fall into disrepair, plus ive just got a lathe and wanna turn the shed into my woodwork hut 😎) I want to sharpen the mower and take the little bits of rust off it and give it a new coat of paint. It's a good one, made in England, it deserves to be restored

I just had an experience with a 14 yo Goodman top of the line natural gas furnace. Tech support was useless. I replaced it with a top of line Lennox furnace. I have two more Goodmans in some rental units. At the first sign of trouble I will replace them with Lennox furnaces. Goodman left me no choice.

I’m going to convert my gen to natural gas. I’ve got the carb on order from Amazon for $21. The biggest expense is the 24’ x 1/2” hose needed to get it away from the house , and the shutoff valve and fittings to put it all together…..that’s another $100. 😢. Wish me luck.
