How to Perform Leak Down Test on DirtBike Engine - Yamaha YZ 250F
How to Leak-Down test a Dirt Bike Engine - Tutorial on Yamaha YZ 250F Motor
I just adjusted the 5 valves on the head of this YZ 250F engine and I want to perform a leak down test before putting everything together
With the auto-decompressor on this engine it’s not easy to know what’s the actual compression, so a leakdown tester will tell me if I have leaks in my intake or exhaust valves, crankcase through my piston rings or if I have bubbles in my coolant because of a bad head gasket
The goal is to see an engine sealed up so we can put things back together and finish the rebuild of this dirt bike
Let’s bust out the leak down tester and put pressure in that cylinder!

How to Adjust Valve Clearance with Shims on Yamaha YZ250F
Просмотров 81 тыс.3 года назад
I rebuilt the entire engine on my Yamaha YZ 250F and put it back in the frame without checking the valve clearances, today I measure the clearances between the camshafts and the valve lifters It’s regular maintenance on a 4 stroke motocross, so it should help if you want to check and set your valve clearances 👨🏻🔧 The symptoms you may already know: your engine becomes harder to start (or the bi...

CHEAPEST BIKE on Facebook Marketplace... Worth it?
Просмотров 52 тыс.3 года назад
I go on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist all the time to look for cheap motorcycles… We’ve all seen the super cheap bikes online: they have a broken engine, perhaps no title or they are just a project bike in boxes (so appealing, right?) But today I want to see if it’s possible to find a good deal, a real one, not a bike that ends up costing thousands when finally running and complete So I f...
How Much Does It Cost To REBUILD A Wrecked Bike?
Просмотров 8 тыс.3 года назад
How much does it cost to rebuild a wrecked motorcycle? That’s the question I heard the most when rebuilding my wrecked Yamaha R1, so in this video I go into details about cost of the parts used for the rebuild From the fairings, to the rear sets, to the headlight and the rear subframe, I give all prices, as well as the total cost of repairs and time spent on the bike 🔧 And frosting on the cake,...

LED Turn Signals on Yamaha R1 + Seat Cover Change and AliExpress Mirrors
Просмотров 8 тыс.3 года назад
My wrecked Yamaha R1 has a salvage title, which means its resale value is down even if the bike looks good and performs as it should So I’m going to do an inspection that will give me a rebuilt title, that’s not really a clean title but at least something that resales at a higher value and that insurance companies favor as well Today is the home stretch before the inspection, I’m excited to see...
Review of Cheap Chinese Fairings on my Wrecked Yamaha R1
Просмотров 31 тыс.3 года назад
I mounted a Chinese fairing kit on my wrecked 2007 Yamaha R1 4C8 rebuild, I didn’t have any experience with those eBay fairings and could only see reviews online, so I figured I would make a video to show what to expect, at least on my model… I spent much time showing the fitment and paint quality on this video, I hope it helps! CHEAP Chinese Fairings for Wrecked Yamaha R1 Rebuild - Is It Worth It? Part 12
Просмотров 12 тыс.3 года назад
Now that my bike is mechanically sound (or so I think…) it’s time to make her pretty and put some cheap new custom fairings on it 😀 I never used Chinese fairings before and I want to see how the fitment turns out to be. Especially that gas tank cover that seems ubiquitous for the 07-08 Yamaha R1 4C8 on eBay and Aliexpress So I put it together and realize some parts are good and some are really ...

Last time I put the Yamaha R6 front end on my Virago frame, but I still have to add the headlight, throttle, switch assemblies, clutch lever and choke to it... There is also the Yamaha Virago ignition switch to fit on the R6 upper triple clamp That’s what I’m going to do today! Oh and I also want to shorten the kickstand since my sport bike front end lowered the bike So some fabrication is need...
Yamaha R6 Front End Swap on VIRAGO Café Racer

I press the bearings, weld on the frame, paint a little and it’s on! Tell me what you think ✌️ Join me in my projects: bit.ly/2Wd2L5Y Live updates of ...

After restarting the engine on the last video ruclips.net/video/vqERqT2SPHE/видео.html I wanted to ride the bike… So today it’s time to put new tires on, a chain and sprockets kit (520 conversion) and bleed the brakes 🔧 So I ordered new tires and I started to swing tires irons around 😅 The chain and sprocket kit I chose is a 520 conversion kit, so big weight savings and less friction on the men...

you are a legend for this video
That was the best and easiest to follow procedure ive found yet.. thx i appriciate the way u illustrated the demonstration.. 👍🏼
Your videos are very helpful thanks man
Harris Brian Lewis Donna Taylor Gary
Wouldn’t there be some benefit from doing this with the swingarm and wheel axle installed? Then you could check that the wheel axle is also parallel to everything else.
Great video, very thorough and honest. Quick question, which company supplied your fairings? There are a number of them on eBay and I’d like to use the same company that supplied yours. Thanks.
Buen video
Cool video buddy. Spot on. Thankyou.
Man you explained it so well, the best video about this, thanks for illustrating it so clearly.
Hey great video my guy. When measuring the valves to they all have to be the same number. For example. If specs are between 17& 22. And one comes in at say 18. Do all other values have to be @ 18. Or just along as they're in spec
Can i use old bearings?
How many dowel pins are on the case halfs
Thank you. frames are everything. the most interesting part of these copart builds is that no one wants to check or talk about them.
Wherever you don't want paint just cover the area with Vaseline and spray away. When the paint is dry just wipe/wash the Vaseline off.
That "bump" you have on the fairing is a lug that clips into the top part, just push on it and it should clip in.
i just bought a 2005 r1 for 1700. has no fairings and just bought some for $140 lol. wish me luck
great job body
Are you gonna spend 5k on it then sell it for 3k ?
Should of kept the bike bro !! It's a no brainer😂
Yo when you look in the mirror do you think of that famous band from the 80s that sang wild boys and hungry like the wolf ??
Ants in australia can tighten to 10Nm
Double thumbs up 👍 👌
where did you buy?
Amazing I wish I had your skills. Unfortunately I’m going to have to pay a guy.
Dude, you. Don't make any dances you powder coat. The case covers, but you don't clean up the casings at all on a complete rebuild. Why even bother if you're gonna leave the casin's filthy man?You didn't even really clean them up.Much less.Get the corrosion off of them. No damn sense at all.
I dont know where u got. 040 on the 2nd piston ring but that gap is double what it should be. You had to have read it wrong on the instruction pamphlet or something. If you are building engines you should know better than that...
Congrat. You did it a great job .. I’m really impress 👍👍
This is as the greatest video BY FAR, I’m trying to decide to do my motorcycle clearance and I was a little worried I wouldn’t understand the math, or how any of it worked, and this was the best video I’ve ever soon, thank you, all the other videos just made me have more questions, you deserve a follow.
First one i found that shows the actual fairings on the bike. thank you for not only do a unbox video.
We missed you we nneed update
What happend 2 years ago, I want to see more of this. Tristan, You have subskribers that miss You. =)
yepp
Great video, helped me out, thank you!
Excellent job on this video explaining everything. Thank you
Hello, thanks for the great explanation! could you tell me how did you solve the celarance on the thigt valve (0.03mm) ? i have exactly the same situation on my bike
Great video Man! I'm currently rebuilding my 2007 Yamaha Yz250f engine, so this video has helped a lot! Keep up the good work!
Doing the same to my 2007, what special tools are u finding a must have for the rebuild?
@@n0ldus03, crankcase splitter, cylinder hone, valve feeler gauges, clutch basket holder, flywheel holder, etc.
So, is thsis brand good or not ?
Feel like it needs a sticker at the top of the vinyl
man, you know your shit around these bikes! As an experienced mechanic, which motocross bike would you say has lowest running costs and best reliability in long term perspective?
Freeze the bearings and heat up the case and they will just drop right in no pressing required
By far the best explanation on the internet thank you very much, you made it so simple
Dude amazing video my guy, you should post out more videos!
What color is the powder coat
Algún mecánico que aya visto un motor de yz fx 250 en Texas nesecito ayuda
What year is the bike?
You have so much potential bro you need to post more
How much did it cost for all that?
Your shop is clean and the lighting in your shop is really good . Great video.
