Thank you for posting the lectures, including this one. If I may note, however, your pronunciation of "Golden Island" ("Chryse") and "Chresonesos" in Greek is completely incorrect.
Also, there is no such thing as "Austrian" language! German is spoken in Austria. So the term was German, not "Viennese" (Vienna is the capital of Austria)
History of Thailand and Myanmar are intertwined, wars were inevitable. Language was not a barrier, minor variances but communicable. Native tongue calls the cities Jiang Mai, Jiang Hai, Jiang San (Xieng or Jiang), Buddhism and Hinduism play major roles. The four rivers: Ping, Wang Yom and Nan still present, thus Chao Praya River.
Great Video!
as the story goes = your baselines led to - women being, your only friends. the tag-line punch-line = your friends are vagina = you vagina = your friends women = you woman
and your king = maai goorb
Aka when they kicked out all the black people 😂😂 "by the 1500s" Spain when black people wake up yall got heaven to pay😂
This is such an interesting part of History that I am just learning about! Thank you so much for making this video. I am from Mexico and in some parts we use the word "Parián" to refer to a market where we can get arts and crafts, maybe it is a remanent from the Manila trade times!
00:50 the Manila Galleon trade! Always learning something I was on purpose not taught. What was the caste system called?
What was the world's food like before the new world food was introduced like potato's tomatoes and peppers
These whitoids have been claiming they have abolished slavery in the Philippines, but it's turning out they were involved in the slave trade. PWEEHHH!
Finally new Asian history!
Actually there were more than enough workers in "New Spain" IE the Viceroyalty, Spain had passed laws making it illegal to enslave people born in the Viceroyalty as it was a province of the empire which differed from the colonial status of PH... not to mention the heavy mixing of the populations through religion, family, etc...
Wow I had no idea that "chino" came from slavery... even today in Mexico they call Asian people chino. There are some Mexicans who look Asian and they are nicknamed as "chino" as well even though they are Mexican.
Hey I really enjoy your videos, as I was exploring the countries you usually cover over the course of the last year. I was wondering what your relations / inspiration is to talk about South East Asia particularly. Have you visited the countries and got interested in the culture so now you try to educate others about the history? Love from Germany
Some people say that the Siamese or Thai people are not Mon and are not the owners of this (12th)region. But the results of DNA evidence indicate that the Thai people have Mon ancestry mixed in and match the population of the (12th)region. But the current Cambodians have DNA that matches the people on the island of Java, which is not connected to this (12th)region at all. And try to claim that the Thai people moved from Yunnan and then robbed everything from the Khmer people. How ridiculous.
The Land of Ophir🤫
Madagascar should just join ASEAN, we will make it prosperous, have even infrastructure and education, we will help Madagascar to be more prosperous, safe and prosperous, GBU
Wkwkwkwk .. sebelum nak makmurkan Madagascar , makmurkan Dulu konoha ..
Dvaratati is the kingdom of Mon not Siamese or Thai today.
I don't understand. Why banned asian enslavement , but allowed afran enslavement?
koreans eat the most chillies per capita. almost every soup, sidedish and maindish has abundant red chilis in it. you eat a whole hot green chili and a whole raw garlic at a barbecue
best video ☘🍀
The language and prayers in "Sak-Yant tattoo" are the patterns on the skin in the Khom-Thai language, which is read as Pali-Sanskrit, not Khmer/Cambodian.
Thailand was formed from many kingdoms of people who spoke the Tai-Lao and Tai-Kadai languages. Each kingdom had a king who ruled both small and large cities. The unification was carried out through diplomacy, royal marriages, and war. It also accepted foreign ethnic groups as citizens. Don't be surprised that Thai people look very different. This is not an obstacle to uniting as peaceful allies and ready to protect each other.
this best video explanations perfectly.
Any Thai that mentions "Khom" without mentioning Khmer are ignorant and purposely being deceitful. There are no "Khom" in Thailand, only Khmer.
I went to Chiang mai and I don’t know that it is part of Lanna kingdom

Dwarawati word comes from Sanskrit. Dwaraka was Krishna's city and it still exists. Similarly Ayodhya exists in Indian and Hindu king names his kingdom same but today it's called Ayuttaya
Thai Sak-Yant, but thousands and thousands of Thai citizens, can't read not even a single alphabet within those Thai yantra ,and still claim that belonging to Thai, but even an 8 years old Cambodian boys/Khmers boys knew that Thai Sak-Yant was purely script in classical Cambodian alphabetical or ancient Khmer alphabetical ,(Cambodian is Khmer /Khmer is Cambodian), you can say whatever, you want to say just to make yourself feel with great pride and dignity but The Truth always reveal as the Truth ,if u carried one's of those powerful spell Thai Sak-Yant or Thai Yant by Thai Ajan (Guru) but denying ,not accepting the truth fact that an ancient Cambodian Ajan/Khmer Ajan (guru)was your great grandmasters as an ancient occult of wisdom, that means your Thai spell, your Thai Yantra, Thai Mantra, Thai Sak-Yant or Thai Yant that you been practicing, all those Thai Sak- Yant /Thai Yant that u carried for protection will become powerless, useless that means it doesn't work at all, and it not good, just want to let u know, but to only to a certain Thai individual that love an ancient occult of wisdom.
I love spicy 😋 🌶🥵🔥 Habanero, arbol, Japanese , serrano, jalapeño, cayenne, and pretty all spicy peppers.
As my mother got older, she couldn't handle the heat of chilis. I'm finding the same thing. I think it could be because as we get old, our skin become much thinner and easier to break.
Javanese have better not to explain it. Let the evidance tells it.
Somehow i agree😂
the evidance is tha i am merina from madagascar, and our DNA shows similarity to MALAY banjar people from south kalimantan... not javanese.... that's the evidence. and proof. and again i'm merina, you can't know better than me what i am.
@@MOP319 hello brother, yes you are right. I heard is was banjar people. I am interesting with stroy merina people. Are merina matrilineal?
@@kharubialhaq8011 we are matrilineal in the sense that for example it is the descendant of a woman who reigns and not the descendant of a man, but we are patriarchal in the sense that the woman leaves her family to live in the family of the man, and she is buried in the tomb of her husband's family. when she die.
@@MOP319 i think matrilineal was old malay practice. Your tradition still perserve them. Did you call your leader datuk/dato or something like that? Is marine blood royal still exist? Just come to indonesia bro😊
U know thai trying to tell the world with their fake history, Maybe be they think we are a kid 😂ចោររសៀម😂
Asian royal culture is a little bit fancier than Europes.....what do you mean slaves?
You can study Dvaravati story from very old stone in Somanas Tample ,the red museum. IN BANGKOK.
Don’t Thai to the world
@@pichjerrydon't Khmer to the world🐕🇰🇭
@@pichjerryscambodia
malagasy asian ancestors have a similar DNA as present day banjar people living in south kalimantan, a mixed population between malay and maanyan tribe .... not javanese or malay sumatrian people.
Wkkkkkkkkkk
It is a beautiful story to embrace from ancient times.
Very informative. I actually was surprised, as I was expecting the video to have many inaccuracies given the title (Jayavarman VII wasn't the first Buddhist king, but I didn't hear you say that he was in the video, just the title seems misleading). Aside from the title, the video itself was great and I'll check out more from your channel.
Educational but please learn to pronounce the names correctly
