Hmmm i have taken only a few pallets apart and it is definitely a pain, especially with the nails.. I cant believe i didnt think of holding them with pliers i used another hammer in my other hand like a money and hit te nail straight with my off hand hammer when the nail bent... This would have been sooooo much easier haha thank you for the tip

My Dad died back in 2009. When watching this video and the deck reno video, I find myself envying you having this kind of quality time with your dad.

Only thing i will say is never mud right over brown paper. Shellac it first (u had a can of it i saw). Mudding brown makes it ripe to blister. May have needed to let board rest in your house first. -U10

Love your office! I'm currently sitting in bed with covid and binge watching DIY decorating/renovation videos. My living room is in the process of being renovated (had to pause the work because of this darn covid) but when that's done, next on my list is my home office (currently my storage room - everything I don't know what to do with is shoved into that back room). You gave me a lot of good ideas about how I can decorate it.

Loved these video's, keeping it real and showing us the mishaps and rectifying your problems. Just a tip : get an airtight jar, save the Shavings/Wood Dust so you can use them in a some filler for sealing holes in your wood projects, just sand smooth. Dont over do the wood glue. How long did bathroom Reno take?

Love the way this turned out. It turned out really well. Absolutely adore leaving in the glitches like thinking 7 pieces of sheving. For future reference: First coat: wet mud, tape, wet mud; let dry; sand. Everyone takes multiple coats of mud as you make each coat a bit wider so it feathers out to blend in. Never once needed to wet paper tape or had it bubble. You can even use a damp cloth instead of sandpaper without much difference in the end and avoid the dust from sanding. My dad taught me ages ago and is super picky to the point of perfect may be on the sloppy side. I get left to do a lot of the screws, mud, and tape since getting drywall sheets in place is the only part where two people is kind of necessary if done correctly (ceiling to floor down the wall). And next time they say the different size will work, tell them that is not what you came for nor asked for. They are just copping out. I have almost always found exactly what we went for during their "explaining to me" why they know the wrong thing is right and what I asked for isn't right or doesn't exist. I've even shown them in the app the item they claimed didn't exist and the aisle location in that store and asked if they were going to help look or not. I got sick of "stupid little girl" treatment in my early 20s, so I cut that crap off immediately. Saves so much time.

Yeah, a finish would help stabilize it and keep it’s shape.

Two part glue. Yup can use it for filling holes. You have a liquid and then a spray accelerator. The name escapes me at the moment. There are a couple colors.

You should clamp boards across the ones you are gluing. It would squeeze them down.

They do make tools for that if you are interested. Special pry bars and nail guns that Will drive the nails out. You wouldn’t waste near the wood you did. And you would probably clean a pallet in five to ten minutes.

you can haul wood on the roof of cars. not IN the car but ABOVE it. just lay towels down first then put wood on roof then strap it tight by putting strap over wood, through the interior cabin and back up and around roof again and tighten. works like a charm I've hauled TONS of stuff like this. that's how kayaks and canoes are hauled too
