4 Speed '72 Pontiac GTO, @butlerperformancepontiac 461 Stroker Motor & Sniper EFI! First Ride!
Просмотров 562Месяц назад
This is Jerry's 1972 Pontiac GTO. Its been on the channel before, but not quite like this. He has owned this car a long time and it has had a couple of refreshed engines in its lifetime. But it has never had a Butler Performance 461 Stroker Kit engine in its engine bay before. We take it for a rip fresh after its recent install and brand new 3" flowmaster exhaust. Jerry and Mike, both friends o...

I picked up this Valiant on a marathon mopar road trip the day before this video was shot. Go back one video to see the road trip to pick it up. Was thinking who knows maybe one of those trucks I've seen will be something y'all want or know someone does,i found them trying to find a bumpside Ford truck to build a rat rod shop truck project out of and possibly trade my second gen dodge ram quad cab long bed magnum V8 46 RH automatic overdrive transmission manual shift transfer case lever on the floor 1500 4x4 yes it has rust around the edges and the wrong front doors and the front fenders are rusted out but i have some new parts like a complete engine gasket set and the intake manifold plenum gasket update kit and bolts new gates brand thermostat new in the box, and when i go to offer to trade my truck for their decent shape 67-72 $2500 usually truck i get the nope and the your truck and $4,500 and I'll trade got that response twice and one of those trucks didn't even have a motor and I'm like nope no way... And the other one was a half ton that needs floor pan patched and no bed and the 360 needs rebuilt nope my truck is not junk

Cool i myself have a 210k miles 2000 dodge ram laramie slt quad cab 1500 46rh 4x4 it differs from most it's not a short bed and it's a fairly lower trim option even though it is a laramie slt it does have some rust around the edges it was a northern Ohio truck since new i have the original owners manual truck still has the original truck bed on it and it is in really decent shape considering how most of them on the east parts of the usa look lol, it had rusted out front fenders and brake lines when I bought it and it had suffered from a instrument cluster stepper motor and electric components failure fixed by a shop so unfortunately the original title has a 77,240 and the addendum exceeds mechanical limits but it has a completely rebuilt front suspension and the factory transmission has a new front pump input shaft seal and torque converter so it shifts right into reverse and starts backing up, almost all of the lights work on the exterior only the right side reverse light does not, and the map light on the passenger side of the center overhead console works i just unhook them i originally bought a harness for the truck only to find out 98-00 non compass digital display readout is still 3 different harnesses and wouldn't you know it i have the wrong one..lol,it has a small section of the center of the factory dash up over the hvac and stereo that is broken away vent is still screwed up by the windshield and right directly above the stereo is cracked but most of the internal structures is still intact hvac cluster and stereo are firmly bolted to the dash but it already has a dash skinz dash cap and cluster bezel already installed in the truck and the interior has a few tears on the Dr side edge of the center console lid and the dr side edge of the seat but it is in really decent shape otherwise I gave $1,500 for the truck and it is a 318 magnum V8 not a 360 and the factory transmission is a 46rh not a re?!

My 3rd car was an FE5 Rallye Red (with black vinyl top) 1971 Swinger. Had the wheezing tower of nothing for an engine. I loved the looks and the styling, but I HATED the engine. It could barely travel at the speed of FART. Sold it because it was rusty and there wasn't a single reproduction panel being made for it back then. My little sister had a B5 Bahama Blue with white top '75.... I can't remember if it was a 225 or 318..... never paid a lot of attention to it because I generally do not like the '73-'76 "beak" front grille. She barely had that car for a year then sold it. My family used to have a '75 Valiant Brougham 2-door hardtop. Was the dealer promo car. Mom drove it out of the showroom. I foolishly sold it when A-bodies weren't worth anything and the idgit I sold it to absolutely destroyed that poor car :( Would love another '71 Swinger..... but I don't have a spare 40-grand lying around. Prices have gone INSANE. My Swinger cost me $400.... my sister paid I think $1200-1500 for hers.... and I sold my Valiant for $750.

Lots of A-bodies in your family. I like it! They have really become pricey and I’m not sure why exactly. The slant 6 definitely leaves a lot to be desired in the HP department. My dad was super happy to let me drive it as my first car. He knew I wasn’t going to get myself in any trouble with the law driving that car. It was dead reliable but very underwhelming.

Nice driving! You did a great job of building aggression while still driving to the conditions. You found speed in the straighter sections & made adjustments to not overcook your entry into the corners. You were fast out of most of the elements leading into open sections of the course. And your runs all sounded smooth. It's always great to see what a stock Mustang can do on an autocross course!

That’s one beautiful C-Body! I am a huge fan of the poverty caps. It looks so good I barely noticed that they were red circle dodge caps. Problem being that the cop wheels use the 9” caps. I love cop wheels. I have a set, but almost hurt myself moving the heavy things. I put a set of 15” wheels from a B-van on my ‘61 Pioneer. My soon to be 12 year old grandson came to live with me in December, last weekend we went to our local boneyard to buy his first car, He picked a 69 Valiant, his is white and a 4 door and his has a 318 in it though. being a Mopar guy I loved his pick but was pretty shocked that was his pick, there were 3 "Running" cars in our 2k budget, The Valiant, a 75 Malibu and an 80 Mercury Capri (Merc version of a Mustang) and he picked the Valiant but to be fair the Valiant was the cheapest and needed the least workover all. I gave him the 2K for car (he only paid $1200 for it) the car for him but it's up to him to pay for everything to pay for everything to get it up and going and road worthy by the time he's 16, if he wants a car when he gets his license. I will help him to the work and teach him along the way but it's his responsibility to pay for all the parts, My parents did that with me and I did that with his mom and uncle also. That's the best way to do it because he's putting up both the money and the sweat equitity to have a car to drive so he will take care of it and not do the stupid stuff kids do with it.
