Suicidal is misunderstood. They sing about suicide not to do it just to tell everyone how TEENS get to this point. Suicidal saved my life in many ways cause you could listen and hear the same angst and hopelessness. Believe me when i say they have helped a hell of a lot of kids. Someone who they can listen and say yea thats how i feel. But if you still see this there is one song The Feelings Back you need to hear..that will explain all their songs..hint hint..they are saying there is a better way even thoug you feel like shit (feel like shit deja vu...and How will i laugh tomorriw when i cant even smile today)..you will get a better understanding of ST .. I was destructive..never wanted to live past 30..now I am 51 today and own my own place. Can say if i did not have that outlet i would not be here..weight off my shoulders hearing theses songs even at my age. First band i saw live - at the Nebraska State Fair in 1986. 4:50 lol yeah I find the fact that all these punk bands I started listening to in high school 25+ years ago now absolutely have the entire government's and establishment's units in their mouths. I still listen to them because I just love the music but I can't do the most political bands like Rise Against or Rage anymore because their politics are just too braindead for me now. A few things: -Archeological evidence is often the biggest *counterpoint* to the bible. For instance, we see no archeological evidence whatsoever for a mass exodus of thousands of people from Egypt, at all. -The "eyewitness" accounts of the disciples not only contradict each other, but many of them were written at least one generation removed from the disciple. Eyewitness accounts are also the weakest form of evidence. -The Bible being a book that was written a long time ago doesn't mean whats in it is true. For instance, there was *never* a census conducted where all the people of a region leave their town to go to another one, so even Jesus' birth is already in extreme question. We have lots of old religious texts that claim every other text is false, but christians deny all of them as being made up. Not to mention things that were retroactively added or, perhaps worse, excluded from the bible (the Apocrypha, gospel of Judas, etc,) to fit the Church's narrative and teachings. I'm not saying this to be mean, but if you want to believe in Christianity, please stop pretending that there's a fact-based reason behind it, because just pointing to a self-contradictory book that has had so many holes poked in it that it makes swiss cheese look solid doesn't prove anything. Its just something you feel in your heart, and that's okay.

The point of the song was more a dig at religious nationalism and that we need a better separation of church and state.
