Movies With Violent Actors & Directors
There will probably be some level of creative differences on most movies. But sometimes, those differences combust into violent relationships. Sometimes, the directors and actors literally fight. In this video, I explore the gamut, from just simple hate to attempted arson.

Title is clickbait. Babylon sucess had nothing to do with tge director
Here is the thing... Shakespear WAS better than SPR. Ryan to me is, after the opening 10 minutes, the most over-rated, schmaltzy war movie of all time.
i love democracy and i love voting for things
16:19 hmmmmmmmmmmmm………..
dozens of egotistical tyrants like Weinstein rule movie sets, small businesses, classrooms, and the like all across America. they are allowed to exist because their abuse is efficient and cost-effective. as long as profit reigns supreme, they will continue to exist.
Chazelle isnt in movie jail Jesus Christ do some research
Hitch a reppie phat slug.
If you ever make a part two of this you have to include Henri-George's Clouzot. Among many instances of abuse to actors the most infamous thing he did was nearly killing Bridget Bardot. In the 1960 film "The Truth" he wanted a realistic scene of somebody overdosing on sleeping pills so he actually got real sleeping pills and told Bardot that they were aspirin. This caused Bardot to have to be hospitalized and have her stomach pumped. Others you should include: Norman Mailer and Rip Torn fight on the set of Maidstone. Quentin Tarintino and Lawrence Tierney on the set of Reservoir Dogs. Otto Preminger and Robert Mitchum on the set of Angel Face.
Look up Dark Star.
Blade Runner was made, the company that paid for it presented it to the public, the public loved it and it became a cult movie and then Scott proceeded to rubbish the version we all loved for the next two decades. So who stole what. NOBODY complained about the voiceover. NOBODY complained about the ending. NOBODY thought Deckard was a replicant. The whole thing has become an arguement when it didn't need to be. 🫤
NO PUEDO VER LA PELICULA ES DEMASIADO VIOLENTA MUY TRISTE
Probably "Taika Watiti" also fits into that
Would've been a nice story to see, I hope they'll do it when they're finished with the Thrawn return
Star Trek Nemesis director, Stuart Baird.
Plz no more women
I like your content, but I find that you don’t really go too hard into the title. You kinda go off on tangents and I want to hear more about the nostalgia. That’s why I clicked on the video.
Thanks for the constructive criticism. That's something I need to get better about 😮💨 I end up going on tangents in regular conversation, too, and that's found its way into the videos. I'll try to be more focused going forward.
@@Syntopikon awww I hope I wasn’t too harsh!! I just found u and I will subscribe just bc you too the time to respond to me!! I’m a new fan!! I enjoy your videos. I just had that little criticism. I see that you take other criticism and you’re forming your channel so I’m looking forward to more.
@@lsimon343 Not harsh at all! You expressed yourself quite constructively, which I really appreciate. While I've already finished up a couple videos, I'm taking your words into account for the next one I'm writing.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a video open with such a subjective opinion stated as fact
Tony Kaye sounds like a straight up nightmare 😅
I liked Babylon and think it's possibly Margot Robbies best performance so far. Maybe even better than I Tonya.
I love these shorter ones.. thanks 👍
Episide 3 has by far the best CGI from 2005
Which is insanity
Episode lll should has some of the best cgi ever, what the hell, ‘Tis bogus
I haven't seen the "Best picture" ever broadcasted in tv, don't find dvd in stores. It's not even a household name.
I would have absolutely loved a Jabba story by Del Toro than this trash we have rn
I love all star wars movies (all 6) but come on episode 3 had the best vfx
Please explain Natalie Portman..every movie..EVERY MOVIE..has done poorly and yet she’s cast over and over again..even Black Swan didn’t do particularly well..maybe her movies are supposed to fail..? Money laundering?
She is an amazing actress?
So what did?
That year the Oscars nominated the lion, the witch and the wardrobe war of the worlds And King Kong, King Kong won
@@Bryan-wu1ss star wars is better than them films
First Man was EXCELLENT, if a bit slowly paced. He's a great director. Wish whoever-wherever hadn't push his bar so high, especially on the financial side, so quickly. This overwhelming thirst to grow, grow, grow profits is how you end up with an industry that celebrates nothing-nowhere directors like JJ Abrams and Zach Snyder. Creative endeavors should be run like investment funds, with a fundraising cycle, investment runway and wind-down or re-up cycle. Take the profits and reevaluate.
I agree on First Man and, honestly, there's a place for slow-paced movies. They're solid for decompressing, if nothing else. I think the biggest thing that could help studios is to bring down the budgets and try to build up star power again - both in tandem. The franchise will stick around for the long haul, but I think that solely relying on big-budget blockbusters will, in the end, be a losing move. Movies like Deadpool, Civil War, Anyone But You, Elvis, the John Wick series, the Creed series, etc. - all kept their budgets below $100M (except JW, but it built up to $100M over almost 10 years) and were out of the park hits. Some of them relied on existing franchises, others relied on star power, and all of them some mix of the two. But the sooner we get away from $200M budgets (perhaps in favor of backend points or performance bonuses), the better.
@@Syntopikon Some big swings are good, but when you look at the budgets for much of the franchise, cookie cutter drek that's always coming out and realize you could have gotten 5-10 passion projects from young-inspired storytellers for the price of one "Ant Man vs The Incredibles vs Predator"... Just don't think big, clunky entities like the major-MAJOR studios are the right vehicles for creating great cinema. Would much rather see a $250M fund take a 10yr swing at a dozen different projects in the $10-50M range, maybe with incentives in place to allow reinvestment as/if the pipeline succeeds. Your point about not knowing any of the streaming directors speaks volumes. Great works are almost always the output of inspired individuals &or small teams. Why aren't we seeking more Blumification of the entire cinematic landscape?
My used to be friends tipede off.o.paid alot.of.money. sitting way in the back . nothing friends with them anymore 😊
Now THIS has got me hyped for the upcoming Rebel Moon directors cuts! (just joking)
Fr?? Revenge of the Sith had the best vfx of any of the prequels by far??
And she's uncrediited for a lot of her work.
Yup. The pitfall of being a script doctor: a lot of the work (and money, to be sure), but not much credit.
@@Syntopikon Not always a lot of money.

I didn't realize how bad Kilmar was.
Yup. He's had a longstanding reputation of being difficult to work with.
I have no idea why anyone would put up with any of these psychos. No, you don't need Klaus Kinski to play a crazy guy. You can get another actor to pretend to be a crazy guy. That's the whole point of acting! (And another commenter here mentioned that Kinski was raping kids in Peru and Herzog knew and did nothing. WTF!) I don't understand why Marlon Brando was considered such a big deal. I'm not referring to the subject of this video, but people gushing about what a great actor he was. I just don't get it. I did hear one actor (it might've been Christopher Reeve) say he was the worlds most overrated actor, and I agree 100%. Brando's performance was not worth what he was paid nor putting up with any of his crap.
In Kinski's case, I think it was Herzog remembering this guy that wanted to be an actor and figuring he was the only one insane enough to play the parts without it coming across as contrived. I think it was more the legend and aura of Marlon Brando more than anything else. He helped popularize the Method style of acting and he had played a role in several important films over a long, long career. There was a sense of mythology built up around him, and people just wanted to work with him - maybe for the sake of saying they worked with him. I know John Frankenheimer supposedly took on the role of directing Moreau in part because he wanted a chance to work with Brando. Studios also thought that "Hey, if we put Brando in this movie, surely people will come out in droves to see him, right?"
I blame the studio for John Carter. That budget was ridiculous for a movie based on a character lot of young people didn’t know.
Yup. Should've been way cheaper.
The cancelled Batgirl movie for HBO max also had Michael Keaton as Batman again , too bad we'll never see his Batman in that film .
You got it so wrong: Han ended up in carbonite because Lucas was not sure to be able to convince him to sign up for Return Of The Jedi. Greater good? Emotional stakes?
Han was frozen in carbonite for Empire Strikes Back because of contractual issues, true, but Ford also wanted Han to be killed off in Return of the Jedi. In an interview prior to Blade Runner 2049, when asked about Han's death, he said: "I’ve been arguing for a human sacrifice. I wanted him to reach his ultimate moral utility. I wanted him to sacrifice himself for the good of the others, because he’s got no mama, he’s got no papa. He just about half-believes in the force and the mythology that’s there. And then I thought, you know, bring on the younger horses, the fresher horses. So I got what I asked for. It took a good couple movies, but I’m OK with that.”
And then came Disney and Kathleen Kennedy who's ruined said happily ever after for all these beloved characters...
Till episode 7 lol
If david o Russell was black he wouldve been kicked out of Hollywood already
Where’s Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell?
They don't have a dysfunctional hate toward each other. They're friends.
@@marcen12 I know, I just thought it was funny to mention them lol
