- Heath Ledger's Joker is the defining Joker now, but we'd be remiss not to consider his whole career. Ledger had several masterful performances - The Joker was just one of the last in a long line.

It's a shame that he never got to do what he truly wanted: be a film director. I'll always be sad about him. I don't really care for celebrities, but I'd definitely meet him if i had the chance to. Even when he struggled with mental health and drugs, he still came off as so geninue, sweet and down to earth.
He never understood of film awards cuz he didn't see the point of comparing films.
And even when he was very friendly, humble and extremely anxious (his fame caused severe panic attacks) , he still stood against the grain.
Like with brokeback mountain, even the cast and the fans of the film saw nothing wrong with mocking same-sex relationships. It was the societal norm to do so at the time. It was deemed as "harmless fun".
But Heath was so heavily against that, despite being straight himself. He even refused presenting at the oscars when asked to make a brokeback mountain joke with Jake G. Jake saw nothing wrong with it but Heath stood his ground, seeing nothing funny about two men in love. Probably not a big deal if it happened now, but in 2005??🤯
Anyway, It's that kind of integrity and class i wish i got to see more, not just in the entertainment world.
R.i. p to a kind, talented soul. Such a great loss to humanity in general.
