I was wondering if I got a lemon and needed to replace it at HD so that’s why I was checking to see if anyone else had the same issue. I believe the zipper is to remove the lining, possibly to wash it or make more room for larger tools idk 🤷‍♂️. How’s it working for you?

      So far so good. The Husky rolling tool bag is my number one tool storage bag. I also use the Ridgid 2.0 setup but not as much. -The Husky bag has taken a nice beating going up and down subway steps, in and out of my car and knocked around on job sites. The only real complaint is that it gets caught on stairs when going down and you have to tilt it at a really low angle to avoid getting stuck on each step. Either that, or hand carry it down, but I have it pretty loaded and it’s heavy. BTW, I lived in Utica for a few years and would stop at Honest weight food coop in Albany on the way to NYC and back. Thanks for watching!

    • @ljshowto
      @ljshowto 21 день назад

      Nah, I returned it and got the Ridgid 2.0 system instead even tho the Husky is not that bad. I have 3 Ridgid 2.0 tool bins with the cart plus 1 full tray organizer and 2 half tray organizers - luv it so far - it’s better for organizing tools with separate slightly smaller bins - - mostly put my Ridgid 18v power tools in them. Sometimes I’ll just take one bin depending on the job. I also have the Husky 18” rolling tool bag, which is actually the main tool bag for me - use it for all my main hand tools like hammer, pliers, screwdrivers and such. That’s the real “take on the subway” tool bag. 😊 Now that we’re talking about it, I’ll probably do a review on my whole tool storage system 🤔 Thanks for watching! BTW, I originally answered from my other youtube account, so you might have been wondering?....LOL - switched to my how to page : )

    Does a 100 watt panel charge faster than 40 watt for Jackery 290 ?..

    • @ljshowto
      @ljshowto 24 дня назад

      Yes, a 100 watt Jackery solar panel will charge the 290 faster than the 40 watt panel - about 5 hours for the 100 watt panel according to the Jackery website, which is actually faster than the 65 watt home AC charger by about 1 hour! Don't think it will accept anything larger than 100 watts input though.

      @ljshowto 24 дня назад

      Go to 6:17 in the video and you can see the 1500 cycles listed in the 300 plus manual I was scrolling through. Jackery is known to change and/or update cycle ratings and I imagine that might be due to the generators being out in the consumer field for enough time to get a better feel for cycle life. I do mention this and show the differences in one of my other Jackery review videos - not sure which one, but I'll let you know later - working on other videos now!

    I followed over from your other video where you showed off charging the unit with solar power. I had an issue of always having my usb-c solar charging get disconntected/stopped at some point, requiring me to unplug/replug in to get. I mentioned in the other video that it doesn't seem to happen if I charge the unit via two panels at the same time (via both ports). Not always handy to do. I thought about things a bit more today and realized a better idea would be to plug the solar panel directly into my Jackery 300 and then plug this into the 300 via the car adapter. I tried it out today and in a just a few hours (2 hours) I was able to get my Jackery unit topped up from 80% to 100% and my jackery 100 unit topped up from 66% to 100% without any disconnections. All while charging two usb-a devices off the jackery 300 at the same time. On the topic of pluggig in the Jackery 100 into the Jackery 300, I noticed before, and was not able to resolve, if I plug the Jackery 100 in via usb-c on the Jackery 300, it actually draws the power from the Jackery 100 into the Jackery 300. Very odd behaviour and I don't know what triggers this. I tried many times unplugging and replugging in, toggling on/off the dc usb on the jackery 300. As soon as I have the jackery 100 plugged into the Jackery 300 via usb-c it always wants to charge the 300 with the 100. When I do the same via plugging into the Jackery 300 car port and a dc-to-usb adapter into the Jackery 100, it charges the Jackery 100 with the Jackery 300 (as desired) including "solar charging passthrough". So, the nuts of it, everything is good now, at least for me, as I always have my Jackery 300 handy and I prefer to use it for plugging in my solar panels and then my devices to charge or passthrough charge into the Jackery 300.

      A rattling ac from the front grill will not start a fire. Maybe if you plugged the AC into a power strip or used a small gauge extension cord. That being said, if there is something else going on inside of the AC (loose parts, wires, condenser, etc, I wouldn't totally rule it out.

  • @DylanDurdle
    @DylanDurdle Месяц назад

    Has anyone has an issue with the jackery 100 where it stops charging via solar on usb c until you have unplugged and replugged in? I would setup the unit to charge either using the jackery 100w or a third party solar panel and it happens with both. I wou D set it up, see it is charging at like 55W and the time estimate, leave it be to witness it continue to go, then walk away. It would estimate 3 hour charge time, so I’d c9me back in 5 hours and witnessed no increase in %, as it had stopped charging a few mins after walking away. It’s hard to read the screen in sunlight, so I started using some usb c cables that report the power flow through the cable (easier to read). I will see the correct wattage and then notice after a brief time it just drops to 0. The panels don’t have this behavior when charging a 300 or 1000.

    • @ljshowto
      @ljshowto Месяц назад

      Even though, I didn't review the 100 Plus in this video (I did a few reviews in other videos), I have a few thoughts on the 100 plus. First, I found that the usb C input is sensitive to usb cords other than the supplied orange colored jackery and have to pushed very firmly to get a proper connection. Even then, I have found that I've had to do exactly what you did - pulling the cord in and out to re-establish a connection. I have also noticed that the Jackery generators will start to "throttle" the input as it nears full charge - as I think it's to keep the battery from overheating. At full charge, my Jackery generators will totally stop any input and show zero watts at the input display.

    • @DylanDurdle
      @DylanDurdle Месяц назад

      @@ljshowto I’ll check out your review video on the unit. Everything you said is correct. I immediately thought the usb cable might be the issue. I happen to have the original orange jacket cable and tried that - same result. I tried the other port - same result. You are right about the charging stopping when reaching a threshold or if batteries heat up. Likewise in both cases, I was at 37% charge and unit was itself was both in shade and not hot. It was happening with both the official jackery 100w solar panel and a third party 30w panel. I was getting frustrated and my last resort was trying to plug in both panels into the unit via the two usb c ports. I was able to get it fully charged using this method. It might be either the product is defective or there is a design flaw. I can’t monitor if a cloud passing by is causing the unit to stop charging until replugged in or if there is some other fault in play. I’ll probably open a support ticket see what jackery has to say.

      @ljshowto Месяц назад

      @@DylanDurdle Sounds like there is something wrong with the unit. Best bet is sending it back to Jackery for a repair or exchange. It sucks that you have to go through all of that diagnostic instead of just plugging in and charging the way it's supposed to do.

    There's one key thing to keep in mind for these salt lamps. Supposedly they work by generating ionizing particles in the air, but that only happens when the salt is heated by the bulb. (It doesn't take much.) This is the reason they all come with incandescent bulbs, because they are the only type that generate heat to make the process work. Halogen bulbs also generate heat, of course, but it would likely be TOO much heat to be operated safely. And those bulbs are already being phased out. You'll be able to use LED bulbs in these, but because LED bulbs generate little or no heat, no ionization will occur, and the lamps will be strictly decorative. Personally I think it would be cool to use one of those "flame effect" bulbs inside, if you can find one that will fit. The flickering light inside the salt would make me think of volcanoes.

    • @ljshowto
      @ljshowto Месяц назад

      Good point. I know the led bulb doesn’t really generate heat, but the electronics driving the bulb can - more so with higher wattage bulbs though. That being said, I’m sure incandescent bulbs would generate way more heat. I’m wondering what the temperature threshold would be to activate ionizing particles?

      I would imagine it could work as long as the device is not turned off, but why not leave both frequencies available with SON off?

    It worked for me. Thank you for saving me a trip to the store, and from being embarrassed by my wife for spoiling the wall. :).

    what about the EXPORT button? its greyed out. i cant convert my videos to mp4

      Sometimes a close or export button will be greyed because a small window may be open behind other windows. Filmora is notorious for having this happen. It could be something like the last export window showing it's finished is open behind the filmora app. Try moving windows around and see what's behind them.

    Mine rattles and sounds like a bang when the compressor kicks on. Wakes me up at night because it sounds like someone breaking in 😅

    I wonder if you could hook up two 40W panels connected to the Jackery 100 Plus thereby doubling the wattage to 60W as in your setting e.g. two cables from both solar panels connected to both of the Jackery 100 Plus USB-C ports.

      Interesting question- I’m wondering if it would allow two flows of input also.

      @charlesfinnley5106 Got it & yes, it works fine. 2 x 40W solar saga in series through this connector pulls in 55W ~ 65W on average.
