Courageous indeed but allow me to give a little feedback... Although I totally understand you wanted to go out for this ride ( I would too) it's not without risks. Riding a bike, especially with a bit more intensity /climbing while being sick, even a little bit, can cause permanent damage to the heart. Been there done that. P'ease be careful and think the long term... I'm not criticising you at all, like I said I did it too and it's nice to see your enthusiasm. Just be careful 😉👍 Looking forward to future videos. Cheers
Thank you for the advice, I’ll bear it in mind 👏
Well done. Hope you're ❤️🩹 well
I did this ride, it was certainly challenging in places. We encountered runners on some single track coming the other way which was interesting 😮
@@Autumn-Hill-TMD That could have ended badly
Just got out a stuck seatpost out today with a SDS drill with a chisel bi, put on jack hammer mode hammered down first 30 seconds it was moving down the post then the other way result post out no damage .
Well done 👍
Nicely done mate.
@@jandekker4371 Thanks 🙏
producer, Germany ?
Why should it be banned when it brings joy to thousands of people? You miserable curmudgeon!
Being offended is a choice. Ordinary people would see nothing offensive about any aspect of Lewes Bonfire.
It's noisy, dangerous, chaotic and life affirming. It's part of who we are in Sussex and we'd do it regardless of outside opinion. We won't be druv!
so gutted that I missed the afternoon on the fire tracks.. oh and those gnarly bits - and instead took the direct route and hit the hotel spa
@@garyanderson6508 You must have trouble looking at yourself in the mirror 😠
Cause it's been going on for hundreds of years of celebration and you're an idiot. Why hasn't it been banned people like you Ruin life itself you suck
Well done on the ride. Great video, thanks for sharing!
Great adventure. Thanks for videoing it
@@malcolmhales8181 Thank you 🙏
Finished Traws Eryri on Thursday with the same day from Betws-y-coed . Suspect the route has maybe slightly changed since you did it as I didn't have the farmer issue, only the ridiculous flight of stone steps down followed by the unrideable rocky climb which looks like it could all be easily bypassed. I'd recommend MTB just for the low gearing and feel there's not a lot to be gained by using a gravel bike.
@@adriansmith38 Pleased you had no farmer issues. MTB probably the first option. I was on a hardtail XC bike, happy with my choice. How was the bog??
@themuddycyclist managed to walk around most of it. To be fair, I think the last few weeks have been pretty dry. Keep those adventure films coming!

What month did you do this
@@peterlynch2285 We did it in September
I see this video as how they removed a stuck seat post. Not how you remove a stuck seat post. But they did it I guess
@@scottmiller6382 Hopefully it’ll give you some ideas on what to try
Thanks for the videos and discussing your thoughts. I am also between an Orro Terra C and Ribble SL Gravel Enthusiast (with Ribble Ti (on offer at moment!) and Boardman ADV 9.2 as number 3/4)….Wanted to try and spend my money on a British bike as well as all seeming good value. With your experience of all three would you recommend one over the other if it was to also be used for some novice cyclocross racing as well gravel? Thanks for any wisdom you can share!
Tough question, the Ribble is the best bike of the 3 IMO but it is also the most expensive. I've never done cyclocross so I'm probably not the best person to ask. Also not owned a Boardman 9.2 but it does look really good value.
Thanks. Will start on the geometry spreadsheets as very difficult to see these all in flesh where I live.
@@jcrharper Best of luck 🤞
Glad we did get to see the video!
@@CrazyFool75 Thank you ☺️
All cyclists who ignore the highway code should have their car licences given points and all must have insurance for their bikes and all must pass a proficiency test. I may not believe any of that but if we all want to live in a ' safe ' world then it will be a dull place. Remember one of the original plotters in the gunpowder plot was not a Catholic but a Protestant so don't listen to idiots like this.
I come from a catholic background and am not offended at all , the pope element is not taken seriously by most and celebrates the right of the majority against a religo/political terrorist plot to take down king and parliment. I love the event and everything in it, no barriers, no to banning fire crackers or torches etc , when i went there was rolling barrels of fire, has this been stopped?, if so, what a shame, it was dramatic and exciting.
@@paulmagus2133 Fair point, I believe the rolling of the burning barrels still continues but I haven’t witnessed it. Think my point is if Lewes Bonfire didn’t exist and someone proposed it now, would it be accepted? And if it’s accepted that the Catholic Church are the ‘villains’ can similar festivals about Protestant and Muslims be held. IMO I think not.
@@themuddycyclist It's One Pope from hundreds of years ago, and the churchman being booed is a Protestant, as far as I know. Each bonfire society have "Archbishops" that address the crowd at the displays and have fireworks thrown at them.
It shouldn’t be band. Great video, thanks for making 🙏
Thinking of going later, is it worth turning up or will you not be able to get into the high street or see anything. The journey will involve staying up all night and getting the first train back in the morning.
@@peterjones8335 It’s sure to be very busy but sure you’ll be able to find a good viewing spot
@@themuddycyclist Thank you, much appreciated
If you are going to start moaning about health and safety, please don't come next time. Bonfire is not for Tourists and there are shed load of police. Really sad you had to be negative at the end of your video. The whole no popery thing is part of the tradition, it is basically a play, theatre. Don't take it so serious. Focus on your bike videos.
this guy, is really misses the whole point of Lewes.....no fun for fear of being upset!! How self important is someone who expects to go through life and not be upset by another opinion or point of view.
P*ss right off, I'm a catholic, but I'm also Sussex, the fact that you bring in sectarian sh*t into this is frankly appalling. The whole point is that this is not Glasgow or Belfast, this is Sussex, thank God Sussex can continue this with absolutely NO sectarian BS, except when numpties like you bring it up, I don't know where you are from, but go back there. Maybe you should consider that it is far more healthy that something like this can continue without people getting upset about it, but understanding it for what it is, I, nor my family (going back many many generations before the reformation in Sussex) have never felt intimidated by Bonfire. Stop assigning your own prejudices and issues onto something that has nothing to do with you. Bonfire is for the people of Lewes and Sussex, if outsiders want to come and watch, great, but don't tell us Bonfire is 'problematic', just to make yourself look 'progressive'. The more you try and make us change, the less likely we are to do so, Sussex will be Sussex, and Sussex WUNT BE DRUV!!!!!

Gravel bike is the happy medium between a hardtail and a road bike most of the speed and comfort of a road bike and about 70% the off-road capability of a hardtail.
