Me and a mate did the whole of King Alfred’s away over 4 days, over the heat wave - was intense 🥵🥵
God, that must have been tough, I tend to really struggle in the heat.
Good to see you out enjoying the Downs & getting lost. I went past the YHA yesterday on the BHF London to Brighton off road. I’m guessing this video was a couple of weeks ago now on that 33C Saturday or Sunday?
Yes, was filmed a few weeks ago, had a holiday since, hence the delay. Seems a while ago now. Saw a few London Brighton off-roaders at the weekend, how did that go?
@@themuddycyclist it was tough for me. Completed it though. But a lovely day for it. And great fun. Well organised & supported by loads of BHF volunteers. Would recommend it.

Feel your pain bud. I did 48 miles around the Kent coast, 7th September, it was 33 degrees. On and off road, no shade, 56 and carrying timber😂 felt like 200 miles
God, that's a long ride. Don't think I'd being able to do that in that heat, I'm not great in the hot weather.
@@themuddycyclist I had planned 90 miles, in a loop. I was camping in a beautiful forest, but when it ended up being a mini heatwave in early September, 48 miles was my max. Felt shattered tbh. 🤜🤛
