I discovered your channel about 2 weeks ago and I have to say this is now one of my favourite channels on RUclips. Your videos are incredibly well put together and I respect your grit and determination shown in these videos. Keep doing what you're doing as these videos have inspired me to get back on my bike and get out there into the wild. Keep smiling !
Oh Josh, must of been a 12hour bonk! I admire what you are doing, please don’t burn yourself out. Your films are so admirable!
Just got home after late shift at hospital..how lovely to chill with a beer and enjoy the new vlog. Big love from Tasmanian.
🍻
I could almost feel the agony! Well done bet you had quite a feeling of accomplishment.
Well done Josh that's a ride mind! I love the happy face when you realised you'd achieved your goal 👍🏻
Excellent achievement. Must be great to feel inexorable on that length of an outing. Well done, not least on all the work it took to get where you are.
Absolutely epic achievement! Congratulations. Wow
I did SDW one way over two days. Both ways in one go! Amazing! Great achievement. 🎉
Wow you reminded me of all the times I hit the limit but had to keep riding to get home. Good job
Super job! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more. Greets from Austria.
We just did one way in 3 days. I literally can't understand how you'd do double in one. Utterly impressive
Excellent work! Tough ride in the dark.
Mate 50 max miles with camping gear was enough for us in one day. Astonishing, just astonishing loved it.
Just discovered your channel and loving it. Your rides are epic. That last 30miles looked rough. Good work and looking forward to see what else you’ve been up to.
Awesome ride. Thanks for sharing. Seeing you hike a bike some hills makes it real.
Just discovered your channel and never really thought of the UK and gravel routes together. The beauty of the internet is seeing the world by bike.👍
Awesome adventure- well done.
What a ride. Well done mate 👍
Thats amazing well done .
Big kudos to you...
Kudos right there!! 🤘
Amazing effort!
How has it taken me this long to stumble upon your channel??? Local to me it seems from your videos, and both love bikepacking, and just love bikes. New subscriber here 🙋🏻♂️
Fantastic effort. I can only dream of doing that. 😊
Brilliant ride. You’re attitude to getting the job done is remarkable. Watching whilst recovering from yet another off! I may do a channel with routes to various A and E departments.
Awesome bro...Kip sending...❤️🇮🇳
Nice going Josh
Anyone know if the little cafe has reopened at the Eastbourne end ....
I know it was late in the day while you was there !
Some good bivy spots just below Beachy Head ....
Great achievement. Having ridden the C2C Trans Pennine way in 18 hrs I know how you felt. Great feeling after innit? 🎉
Just watched the vid you nutter a double century is hard enough on tarmac never mind off road. Chapeau 💪🏻
big thumps up!
well done mate
Man alive, haven't you got a home to go too? You've not stopped lately 😂
Kudos mate. That's an insane effort. Fuck knows how ur arse lasted. I bike the South Downs Way as I virtually live by it, so I know how demanding parts of it is. Well done and keep up the good vids
Respect dude! The longest off and on road distance on my gravel bike was also 200, not miles i'm afraid but kilometers. And it took me like 11 or 12 hours.
I once did 200, meters not kilometers, it was a real struggle 😂
Nice one well done , I would have had an hours kip in the station 😂
maybe if it wasn't sub zero 🥶
Great video and cool channel… new and subbed. I am not far from all these trails .. running a 100km in June and lots on SDW so thought about gravel biking it … what pressure did you run on your tires ?
👍👍
I am amazed at the stamina. But I do think your height helps just a little ;) Just completed a three day event in Western Cape. First day was 1673 elevation and I thought I was a super hero. I cannot imagine 7000m. Oh my word well done!
helps on the hike a bike sections i guess, half a mile each step 😂
phew what a challenge
Utter madness, I don’t know how you do it and all on one pasty and a little bit of chocolate. Looks great route and no cows 👍
funny you should mention cows, after the sun had set i went through a field and had to wake up a bunch of cows to get to the gate. The maddest thing was that when i went through that field in the other direction i swear they were little ponies 😂
Utterly bonkers but brilliant. 100 miles off road in the dark😂👍
cold bloody night that one
Keep failing until you succeed, great mantra. Are you ou pleased with the 42 tyres? Which ones did you go for?
These are the 50mm maxis ramblers. And have been very happy with them. When i said 42 on the back i was referring to my gears aha 42/42 i could have done with a couple more gears tbh though
Nice one. Looking forward to ride report. Was the gravel bike the better choice? What tyres did you go for?
hard to say really, ultimately id have a lightweight xc bike, for this route. i'm using the maxis ramblers 50mm so plenty big enough, just gets a bit harsh on some of the descents on the gravel bike.
@@KeepSmilingAdventures Cheers, looked like 700c? Definitely worth going for the biggest tyres you can on SDW.
What bike frame is that?
its a sonder camino ti ruclips.net/video/Gnd_4LgTyrg/видео.html
song at 6:13?
its Sunset Road - Marc Torch
@@KeepSmilingAdventures thanks!
Your cycling ethos seems to be a bit masochistic?😮 Why not do it over a few days and take in the scenery and stop and look at things?😊
Because I already did ruclips.net/video/aox0BedJs-U/видео.html :)
