Welcome to my channel! My name is Evans and this is a collection of my railroad videos that I have created here in my home state of South Carolina as well as many other southern states. Here, you'll find videos of Norfolk Southern Railroad, CSX Railroad, Amtrak and many short line railroads. Most of my videos are originally based in Greenville, Columbia and Charleston areas. Carolina Piedmont Railroad: GE turbine move – The Chase from Greenville to Laurens, SC
Here in the upstate of South Carolina on this very hazy Saturday, we are at the Carolina Piedmont Division Railroad (CPDR) for their special move. Today, CPDR would haul a General Electric Gas Turbine and what looks like a large generator (I could be wrong) from GE’s plant in Greenville, SC to the CSX interchange in Laurens, SC. This video details the entire trip back south starting from Greenville and proceeding through the towns of Mauldin, Simpsonville, Fountain Inn, Gray Court before finally tying down in Laurens.
