I grew up as half Italian and half English. We brushed our teeth at night (before bed) and in the morning (after breakfast). Also went to the dentist every six months for a cleaning. I had braces too. My friend got braces when he was 40 years old to straighten out his crooked teeth, so it's never too late if you decide to do it.

As an equestrian who only has read a lot of Amish fiction, I have been led to believe that Amish females cannot ride horses. Is that true and, if so, why?

There are some Amish people who joined my church, but opted to continue to wear Amish clothing for personal reasons. They also chose to stay living among their Amish community despite being shunned and judged by family and others. They felt they could be a good example to them.

My parents were proactive about dental care because they grew up dirt poor and didn't have it. I just had bad teeth, which run in the family. The only time I had dental insurance as an adult, it wasn't that great. I finally ended up getting dentures at age 49. Fun story, though. I had straight teeth so when all my friends were getting braces, I felt left out.

"They would still love the person..." That's not what the young former-Amish men interviewed on RUclips say they experienced... Shunning, banning from the property, calling the cops on them as trespassers, making them wish they were dead. What a lethal kind of 'love.'

It was part of our ways to brush everyday and then a once a year visit to the dentist for a cleaning and to see if anything was potentially going wrong. After I was into my early late twenties to very early thirty’s the dentist hygienists had many times mentioned that my visits to the dentist were unnecessary. Since then I rarely go in, I just keep a good schedule of brushing. I also noticed that using toothpaste was bothersome to me, so I use water only now and only occasionally use toothpaste. I think it is worth mentioning, you seem to accept you for who you are and seem confident and comfortable with yourself. You certainly take a solid position on who you are, which is nice. I had braces put on when I was 33 and had an almost exact condition as yours, though less darkening and less of a bump back of the incisor. There was a slight inward twist to the bi-cuspid, think it’s called. Since I had them taken off, over the year, the condition slightly returned, though it is much better than before braces. When I was younger we didn’t go to the dentist unless there was an issue. There were four children in our family and we had no dental insurance. We did brush our teeth twice a day. I never went to a dentist until I was in my forty’s. Now I go to the dentist twice a year brush and floss daily. Still have no dental insurance

I brush twice a day. When I was young, I only brushed once a day. I went to the dentist once or twice a year when I was young. It has become more intermittent now than I'm older.

Life has a not about being perfect. Life is more about being a good person and living a good life. You already have that. We had 4 daughters, 3 needed braces. At that time our insurance covered it but only $1200 out of the $4000 it actually cost. We just made monthly payments for many years.

I was raised brushing my teeth but dental care was expensive. We only went to the dentist if we had a toothache.

I fail to understand how loving someone is wrong in any form. It seems more of a misunderstanding because someone who is straight can not concieve the possibility of loving the same sex. God created everyone as they are. It is not right for a human to judge that is also a sin no mortal is god & should not be speaking in that name. If Jesus died on the cross for the sins of man why are you not saved or forgiven? Why change or "repent" to a church for being certain way some people don't agree with? Humans are an overly populated species homosexuality could very well be a hereditary form of natural selection to keep population down ... Same sex couples might not be able to have children without someone else but they can adopt & live thoes who aren't wanted. The Bible was written by humans ... Men wanted power & control .. The Catholic church was being accused of sex crimes against children. King James wrote certain scriptures with a specific agenda for the church hide their own wrongdoings ... To hate & shun is of man ... If you are a Christian then Love & acceptance is of Christ They aren't confused theres a cultural - sexual barrier you just don't understand each other. There's a difference between you.
