Yes men shave their mustash. And men shave their beard until they get merried. And women never cut their hair. I know alot about the Amish. Nice share. The bible says it's a glory for a woman to have long hair. TFS Interesting.

Amish women should have the freedom to make their own choice on personal hygiene and grooming, it's not like anyone will see it anyway.

@@APathLessTraveled I even thought about converting to Amish a few years ago but the rules around personal grooming and what couples can't even do in the privacy of their own room was a massive turn off.
@@APathLessTraveled At an over all view of Amish, if it is a totalitarian dictatorship which deprives people of basic rights and freedom then it's more of a cult than a religion seeing the oppressive nature of the living standards.

We had a cottage on a lake in a large Amish community. During the summer we bought fresh produce from our local Amish farm. Our local hardware store even had a place for the Amish to tie up their horse and buggy’s. Since I had a pickup truck the owner of the hardware store would ask if I could deliver a large heavy items to them. BTW sweet corn just picked about an hour ago is amazingly delicious. U

In thinking about Conservative Mennonites it’s similar and depends on the group.
Like in some groups like Bethel Fellowship women don’t shave their legs. Whilst in other groups like Nationwide Fellowship or Klein de Gemeinde women do shave.
Nearly all either don’t cut their hair or cut their hair once per year (just to trim the ends).

Shame! No, not really. If you prefer to be modest that’s fine. But arm pit hair? Why? I would feel shame if I was dishonest or intentionally hurt someone’s feelings. Much beyond that seems pretty silly. At least to me.
On the other side of this what about bathing suits?
I don’t know of any rules around bathing suits. There are some that go to Florida and dress like anyone else.
And there are some (like we did) wear a T-shirt and swim shorts to swim .

It wouldn't hurt these gals today to dress covering more of body .this spandex just needs to be banned.interesting subject I personally think the Amish have the rite way to live but it could change giving them more freedoms.my self I used to live off the land under a utilitarian live nothing wasted .yet it was rewarding but quite difficult at times .hunt chatch clean cook .some areas had a lot caves .facial hair cut or burned off but not intentionally.great show it's appreciated thank you
