      Lucky man, it's a beautiful river! Yeah I've had some great evening rise fishing on various stretches over the years, it can be really good for sure. As far as Tom goes, when it comes to fly fishing for trout, yeah he pretty much does walk on water! 🤣 In all seriousness though, he's an awesome angler who has represented Australia at a lot of world championships, and taught a lot of local anglers a lot of good stuff. His youtube channel is "Tom Jarman Fishing", well worth a look. Thanks for watching. :)

      Ah thanks mate! Yeah the little net is a Mclean folding weigh net. I do like it for specific situations, it's great for bush bashing and small overgrown streams, as a full sized landing net can be a pain to drag through the bush. Only downside with it is it's quite small, wouldn't be great for landing a really large trout. It can be a bit fiddly to refold and pack away but I've sort of got the hang of it now. Overall yeah, it's a good net! :)

      When I referred to the upper tag, I meant within the loop. When one cuts the loop, does it make any difference which end of the loop is cut? That Is the question. Thank you for any clarification on this point.

      @RoccoPugliese-uz2oc no problem! No I don’t think it makes a difference. :)

    There must be a bunch of us out there in the same boat . I first learnt to fly fish here when I was 13 years old and we camped at the diggings . In those days there was no ski tube and basic tracks along the river. I try to go back there every year and no matter where I fish it’s hard to find a river as beautiful as this one. It really does have zen like qualities. Great video to remind me to get back there again soon.

    How good was that! But I was worried about your GoPro going for a swim at the start of the video. 😆 And how good are those Backwater Assault paddles. Great bit of kit.

      Thanks mate! Funnily enough I did lose one of my DJI Action cameras, but not over the side of the kayak as I still have the clamp mount! Think it must have fallen out the car door at some stage! 🤣 Yeah the hand paddles are awesome, even more so in the big PA, it's a bit like turning an aircraft carrier sometimes in those tight spaces....
