@idlesnevie Thank you so much! ^^ I honestly think that it's an interesting theory, but overall I feel like it is a pretty dark take on the Loonaverse, since even though Hyeju is connected to the emotion anger, her story in the Loonaverse to me seemed like a story of overcoming hardships and learning how to use this negative emotion as a positive. (since you can only change something about your life if you have the motivation to do so and anger is an important emotion when it comes to this, a negative emotion overall, but a really strong and important one.) I kind of had the idea that all the members had to experience an intense version of their emotion to open their eyes. Like Chuu who had to fall in love with Yves to open her eyes and bite the apple. Or Hyeju who grew angry at Eden and at her friends for separating her from them and leaving her behind all alone. Only then do they eat their fruits and open their eyes (leaving Eden behind). But I could make a video all about alternate theories sometime in the future, would be a lot of fun lol ^^

@@florastel that modhaus cant / couldnt take on more loona members. i see this repeated often but its not true and artms themselves have reiterated that they waited for any and all of them multiple times. (again, really recommend watching the kim youngdae interview with eng subs on youtube- it's really informative!) they only put their foot down that artms will be 5 moving forward when it was obvious everyone else was going their separate ways. it was a temporary project name that became their actual one due to circumstance and this is mentioned in the version up teasers with the text on them. its confusing sometimes and a lot, but getting the story straight is important because otherwise it strips the members of their own autonomy in their decision making. looble went to ctd and that was their own choice. they could have went to modhaus or somewhere else if they wanted to, but they did not. now that they terminated their contracts (seemingly early) i guess we'll see what they want to do now.

Well, they never said that they only took in 5 members because of financial struggles, that is why I said multiple times in the video that I'm just speculating, but looking at how much power shareholders have over companies these days, I don't think that it is far fetched. I think it would be really hard for Modhaus to convince their shareholders that having a 24 member group with multiple sub-units and a 12 member group with multiple sub-units at the same time would be very profitable. And on top of that having a boy group in the future as well, with probably a lot of members and sub-units too. Like, I love Loona and TripleS is really cool too, but I don't think that it would make sense to investors to invest in a group with kind of like the same concept: big group, multiple sub-units, spreading lore in the Mvs, a story-line of empowering women etc. In a way they would be in a constant battle for attention, bc they are so similar in concept and if the same people produce Loona and TripleS they would also sound very similar (like TripleS releasing a song that was made for ARTMS and vice versa with Heejin releasing a TripleS song). Which is not really how you do expanding in the industry, by catering to the same people twice, you know. That's why all of the post-bbc releases went down in sales a lot when there were 2 or more comebacks around the same time. By the time Heejin released K, we already had 3 releases, so a lot of people just plain right couldn't afford to buy the Album, which leads to low sales numbers overall. That is why you normally cater to a variety of people.) So I don't know what went down in Modhaus, but after they claimed that AI was only used for the DALL teasers to criticize it, but then both not criticize it at all in the Virtual Angel MV and still using it later on for teasers, I feel a little torn on what to trust. Again I'm not saying that I know it all, but I wouldn't be surprised if Modhaus took in the members that they did, bc they were the most profitable, and since the Loossemble members were kind of known as the most underrated members in Loona, maybe they knew that they wouldn't be treated much differently then they were treated under bbc. Having only 2 seconds of lines and 4 seconds of screen time. I mean think about it, why are all the members with low screen time and low line distributions not signed under Modhaus? And Yves, who took a long time before joining a company, knew that the ARTMS members were under Modhaus, so why didn't she join them? Maybe because she wanted to have some freedom that she didn't think she could get under Modhaus. :/

@@florastel I didn't say you said they didn't join bc of financial struggles 😅 And personally I think your descriptions for tripleS and Loona's concepts are kinda simplistic. Their concepts have social and philosophical commentary on gender and sexuality, mental health, what self-determination means and looks like in hierarchical society, etc. and they're both metatextual in their own ways (tripleS references previous themes/units in later releases; ARTMS symbolically featured their lightstick/OURIIs in the Virtual Angel MV and will likely have future commentary on the relationship between idols and fans.) They have similar worldviews but present them very differently. Even OnlyOneOf has some similar themes and elements. I don't think investors would be less interested if OT10 had joined, if anything it would probably bring in more investors had Jaden been able to debut his new large project gg and also essentially "regain" his first large project gg since Loona and tripleS are his original concepts. It would reflect even more positively on him and Modhaus. Not saying that ARTMS doesn't attract attention bc they've been very successful this year, but the idea that investors would be uninterested in a company with both tripleS and Loona is misinformed when you look at their histories. OEC were the first project ARTMS brought back + they also had a digital single, so I don't think it's fair to assume they would have a similar rotational concept to tripleS because the Loona subunits have been so beloved for years now (also Jaden recently said he had a lot more plans for Loona 1/3 in 2017 but had to scrap them bc of the budget + BBC's restrictions). The prospect of subunits from ARTMS is interesting too but they haven't mentioned anything about that yet. Same goes for the boy group, we have no idea if they're confirmed to essentially be a boy version of tripleS (20+ members with rotational subunits), that's just assumed by fans rn. The demo swapping mention is kinda strange bc that is a completely normal and common practice in the industry for songs to be produced for one group and then be given to another. Ofc Loona and tripleS have somewhat similar sounds bc they have a lot of the same producers like Monotree, Hymax, Artronic Waves, full8loom, but that's like saying ARTMS and tripleS sound the same when they don't. Dall and A24 are not alike at all. The sales went down because 1) many orbits have been refraining from buying anything to save up for the OT12 comeback that isn't confirmed to happen any time soon with the members all focusing on building their current careers + people were under the impression their current units/contracts were just temporary stepping stones to getting back OT12 which is not true and 2) contrary to orbits' belief, ARTMS, Loossemble, Yves and Chuu no longer have the exact same audiences. Of course there will always be a community of orbits who buy the albums from all 4 acts but that's not going to be the case in the long run and it was never the case at the start. Orbits think like this bc they compare sales of members to each other for ex. Chuu had more sales than Heejin in 2023 not bc orbits' wallets were spent but bc Chuu is a variety and CF darling in South Korea so she was always going to have more. Heejin is popular amongst orbits but Loona has never been mainstream domestically but they're all slowly getting there. The AI teaser concept sort of does relate to the themes of Virtual Angel (the distortion between the real and digital worlds and how that can affect our relationship to idols); they probably thought AI was a good way to visually critique our relationship with technology but it obviously was very poorly thought out and they apologized and even brought in real artists with really beautiful hand drawn teasers for each song. My personal fave is the painting for Air by Heekyung Kang And I'm sorry, saying that Loossemble "maybe knew that they wouldn't be treated much differently then they were treated under BBC" is just...... HUH? BBC st*rved the members, forced rigid practice sessions them which left them regularly injured/bruised, put them on a world tour that was so poorly managed that some shows had 8-9 members, restricted their contact with the outside world including their friends/family, DID NOT PAY THEM FOR SIX YEARS and many of those years were spent as overworked underpaid ab*sed minors.... and you're bringing up BBC over lines and screen time? Especially when XX is credited as the most fair OT12 album in line distribution (which was directed under Jaden so it's fair to say it would be similar/better under Modhaus bc he/the producers have more control there). Pls do not simplify their experiences to this. It is harmful to the members. Omg 😭 and Haseul choose Modhaus, who famously had a single line in Hi High and Choerry was never a popular member during OT12 so what even is this point, it makes it sound like you're unfairly pitying the Loossemble members..... Yves didn't choose Modhaus not because she wouldn't have been treated well but because she had a specific creative vision for herself and she did not want to part of a group long term anymore. She even called Modhaus' CEO her father on fromm lol, they all respect and admire what ARTMS are doing but the members who joined other places didn't reject Modhaus out of spite, but of their own free will and lack of desire to continue as a large group long term with this kind of concept. Hyeju even mentioned this herself in an interview during TTYL promo. Yves in very first solo interview talked about the value of peace/serenity and wanting to start over as an independent artist

Well Loossemble had some of the best selling albums of the post bbc releases with Ooak around 70k and 1st mini with 60k, while Version up has around 70k. And TTYL has 12mil spotify plays while Virtual Angle has 10mil. ARTMS has 233.547 monthly listeners on spotify, while Loossemble has 844.840, so it's really not that they are doing bad. So they do hold up, also they didn't really get much promo, but if they would get a bigger budget I think they could make a lot more profit! ^^

@florastel Yeah, but Im not talking about Loossemble as a group. I know people like them and they are doing pretty good, but I am referring to them going solo. As we all know LOONA postbbc groups have more sales and recognition cause there are multiple members in them. Loossemble have the least famous members in LOONA and since CTD managed poorly the girls they dont have the recognition as individual people (example, ARTMS is a case a part since Heejin, Haseul & OEC are doing separate projects establishing an identity as 5 and an identity as a different people). Either way for them going solo they will need a good management company and orbits to fully support the members redebuts (as we all know Heejin as a solo, per example struggled even with promotion, and Haseul did her first single with some parts of our fandom not knowing that she was doing a single (and Modhaus anounce it 1 month prior to the release). In conclusion if the ARTMS members are struggling when they are doing solo promotions, they, the Loossemble members are going to struggle even more. And we also have to think the good time to redebut as a soloist cause if they redebut at the same time ARTMS will do a comeback people will overlook them.

Thats why its uncertain for them. Are they going to another company as 'Loossemble' when we all know that most companies only care about young idols? Or are they redebuting as soloists with the risk of flopping? The other choice is that maybe someone that knows them can establish a company or they can even do a company by themselves!

i dont think yves should join any group. shes perfect as a soloist. i feel like she found her identity after becoming a soloist and i want to see more of her solo work. if she joins a group, i understand that she could do solo work while also being under the group, but that would be too much work.

Well I would love to see the members try out new things like new subunits, since Loossemble is one of my favorite Loona sub-units lol But I feel like the members should also keep on doing solo stuff. Chuu and Yves both showed of completely new sides to them through their solo work and I would be sad if they would stop giving us 10/10 music, haha! ^^

definitely agree! i love the solo stuff theyve been doing, and since both chuu and yves were my loona biases, i love having full songs with just their vocals! this is just if they WERE to do this (which i dont think they will or probably should)

Regarding the NFT's: It's not as bad as it seems. When NFT's were getting overhyped by the crypto bubble, the underlying protocol consumed a lot of energy in order to "verify" the token. Since then, the protocol switched to a more energy-friendly protocol (look Proof of Stake), cutting energy costs by a factor of 10-100.

TBH, I'm more worried about the creative direction that Looble might go, as I've really liked the pure pop "kitsch" concept they currently do.

And also Loossemble having their own style really helped with giving the members the opportunity to shine, so I also hope that they stay together as a group! ^^

You thougt that birth and virtual angel MV were wack? For me these were especially with birth as a song and video revolutionary. Something i have never seen before in kpop. And the concept of virtual angel is also unique imo. But the song itself isn't.

Well it's up to everyone's taste if they like their music, in my case I love all of the post BBC releases, lucky me lol ^^

Birth really grew on me overtime, now I really love the song a lot and the MV is really something so unique! ^^
