All jokes aside I am doing my best out here getting around the bureaucracy and gun laws cast up on this state. I am a CALIFORNIA CCW permit holder and law abiding citizen. Non CCW. Can I take my handgun in a lock case and ammunition and magazine in another locked case and have it with me in my campervan for camping for self defense in CA?
@@vancydaydr3amz29 yes transported in vehicle in locked container. Campervan becomes just like a homestead. This is where it gets strange with the do’s and don’ts. At a legal campsite i would ask whatever campsite for advice on what is allowed. If you have a fishing license there are some that allow for open carry even without CCW while fishing but it really comes down to location. If just for the campervan unloaded and locked up, many people find the rules severely arbitrary when in a defense situation who is really going to have time to unlock, get ammo, reload and then fire. When help is minutes away and the threat is seconds in front of you. Sad, California & Newscum at its best again.

You are lucky man California is a may issue system. They do not recognize the second amendment one bit. I am unfortunately from California, but pretty soon. I am moving to a real American state.🇺🇸
Good for you, but it sucks to still be in an anti gun state. At least there are several states that have Constitutional carry. Also, don't forget to get some type of liability insurance in case you actually do use your firearm. I remember in the mid 2000s the Orange County Sheriff (Mike Corona) was caught giving CCWs to all his buddies and campaign donners. One was a black belt martial artist who pulled out a gun (had an OC CCW permit from Corona) after getting into an argument on a gold course! You can't make this up lol.

@@Fntagsum02 usually not. It’s mostly addictions, background checks, past problems. Go for it. It would be a violation if they prevent you fr a ccw due to face tats. If anything they would ask you about them maybe. Most of the time not so much on tats even on the face due to the paperwork that is handed in with all your info being the base that speaks for who you are before the live scan.
