I've only ever been to Drayton Manor 3 times in my life - each time, during a school field trip. Personally, I never found it as great as Alton Towers. I do give credit that DM is one of the oldest theme parks in the UK. But for starters, very few rides over there I found truly exciting i.e. The Apocalypse, the log flumes (which are always fun) and this one. I do hope it doesn't end up like how American Adventure was during its final years when only the little kiddies rides were spared. And speaking of rides at DM, aside from what I mentioned, most of them seemed like those mini rides (well the Speedy Gonzales one wasn't too bad) one would typically see in a carnival. Not to mention that section that revolves around that kids' show about talking trains which no teenager may want to enter unless they got pissed or something. That being said, it's good that the park's still operating.

I have went on it over 50 times in my life I have been on many flat rides and this still stays at the top as my fav flat ride worldwide

Hold on, now the rides listed in the old theme song aren’t at the park anymore. None of them. Pirates, gone. Splash canyon, re themed, different name, I’m counting it as gone. Shockwave, now a sit down, so new coaster.

Last time I went drayton was when g force was still open 😭 I did go on shockwave then but I enjoyed it a bit? It was different and it made drayton more unique but with it now sit down it removes the tag line that brought more people there, well thats in my opinion i guess. Anyways, great vlogging Theo!! ❤

I rode twice on Monday.. way better!!!!! Lap bars smooth.. not getting your head smashed in!! Excellent head chop moment…. Such an improvement

It is a downgrade as it is now twice as restrictive as the old shockwave trains

To be fair, smoothness or comfortability aside, this ride has lost basically all of its uniqueness. Its only selling point was the stand up trains, and they got rid of them. Haven’t ridden it yet, but I don’t have to to know that this ride isn’t one I’d travel for.

I like that the wave has made shockwave smoother more air time and still a thrilling ride and more comfortable

Imagine it now, it's Summer holidays luckily and hopefully 1st week in September going for the 1st time to Legoland Windsor, what are the chances of it being quiet or busy?

I used to work at Alton towers from August 2020 to November 2023. The management are horrible. They hire children who don’t care about anything I was one of the most hardworking employees and they fired me due to me having unreliable mental health which was there fault as they were so horrible to us staff. The park had started to get worse and worse as the years go on I don’t even want to go there anymore

Worst thing about uk theme parks is closing at 5-6pm. Every other country that isn’t dogshit has their parks open to at least 10pm

There actually really smooth and gentle the vew is always amazing and your just missing out a lot on something nice if you’re to scared

Was there a few weeks ago staying at one of the hotels and while we did get into the park at 9am, Nemesis Reborn was not open. We had to stand in a queue (albeit at the very front) till it opened at 10am. We queued for the Smiler at the same time the next day and it was the same deal. The privilege for staying in a hotel is you get to be near thr front of a queue, but obviously the earlier you get there, the longer you are standing there. It doesn't feel like that much of a head start on those not staying at the hotels. We found the hotel to be very nice, would recommend it. Would heartily recommend the Rollercoaster restaurant if your budget can stretch to it. It works out not all that more expensive than the very mid Flambo Jambo's. We had to stand in the queue for Wicker Man for 2 hours as it stopped and started. It was frustrating as it was so hot, but the ride was worth it. It's a shame the X Sector is so empty, despite having the best rollercoaster I've ever been on, and Oblivion, which is showing real signs of age now. Queue times can get frankly ridiculous at the park, and the rides are frequently not running. You need to adapt to what's running when you are at the park.

Went to Alton towers yesterday and nemesis and smiler and oblivion and Rita were closed

an intamin/mack multi launch with 3 train ops would increase capacity and be a great ride and i feel like it would be a great fit as it would be the resort's first multi launch if not an invert or flyer i feel like would fit well
