Oh and don't get me started on the time some girl told her friends that Rita used to be called the queen of speed because it opened as the fastest roller coaster in the world. Like, girl, it was never even the fastest in the park.

I was at Towers today, Rita kept going down and the longest ride I waited for was Wickerman at just under 2 hours so my group and I decided to get fast passes for Nemesis, Galactica and The Smiler but after 4pm the queues started going down
Operations and delays have been a huge problem at Towers recently. I did a week of work experience there a couple of weeks ago and the rides I worked on (Oblivion & 13) broke down quite frequently due to really weird reasons, and a lot of people were far too annoyed that they could not get on a ride in the first 5 minutes of the day.
First 5 minutes wow... give the park a rest 🤣Yeah ive noticed recently getting rides open seems to be a bit of a problem, but most of the time I just move on to the ride next door which is usually walk on! was work experience there good?
I’m fairly certain Rita has bad operations because we waited 50 minutes for what should’ve been half that I feel. I understand that hydraulic launches are quite complex and take a bit of time, but the OTSR checks should be a piece of piss and it takes quite long

Went to thorpe 2 days ago, queues got a bit high at times but with good use of single rider and checking queues I got lots of rides in. 3 on hyperia, 2 on swarm, 2 on colossus, 1 on saw, 1 on inferno, 1 on samurai and 4 on stealth (as i got to lap it 3 times after park closing when there was no queue lmao)
Annnd this is why I ALWAYS buy fast passes whenever I go to any theme park. Sure they can mount up the total cost of the day out, but if the alternative is queuing for hours on end, £150 for an ultimate Thorpe Park fast pass is worth it for me. No way is my autistic arse queuing for longer than half an hour. (Unless it’s in the case of Hyperia which I waited about 70 minutes for in the single rider line. But that’s different.)

My friend went to towers a few days ago and the availability was horrible. Loads of rides were shut all day, and he got on ONE ride all day. He managed to get his money back

I went to bpb with school on Tuesday, went on 3 rides. Infusion queue wasn’t bad but then I had to wait 40 minutes for revolution, then saw icon was on 80 mins but wanted to go in it so went to the queue which was just bundles of people that went all the way down to the avalanche. With all the groups of people and queue jumpers it took me 2 hours and 45 minutes to get through the queue. Absolutely ridiculous

I'm sorry but I have absolutely no sympathy for people who go to theme parks at the height of the summer on weekends and then turn around and complain about how busy it is...like you should have expected it to be busy, especially at major theme parks such as the Merlin parks The only time I can understand people being frustrated is when that's the only time they CAN go due to work/school commitments, but apart from that if you could go at any time and you complain about it then that's on you for not planning ahead properly

That's why I go to Theme Parks when the Schools are back, you know, off peak seasons, because it's so much quieter, less queuing etc.

Can’t you get a ride access pass from the park so you can skip queues without paying

Worst thing about uk theme parks is closing at 5-6pm. Every other country that isn’t dogshit has their parks open to at least 10pm
