Best video
Great video however you could be the one the person who buys a relatively good phone keeps it 3-4-5 or more years takes care of it and sells it on a good price. You just have to be patient and find a good buyer.
i bought 1 months ago 14 pro max 256 gb after using 11 pro max after a release . i bought 2800 pln with 89% battery percentage. Compared to 16 series in Poland i bought it half price with ideal condition.I am satisfied with my purchase as an average user
Nice tips but they would be useful in 2005. Battery technology is getting better each year and this is really not worth it. Personally i bought a Samsung tab 5 years ago(my most expensive handheld gadget) when i was a student. After 5 years of overnight fast charging and not worrying about it. Battery backup is still phenomenal and performs still fine. I am thinking of updating it for my work and keep this old tab as a home entertainment device but the point is even after 5 years of it runs brilliant without any processing or Battery issues.
From this video I learnt Huawei's high end phones have one of the best battery capability😂
Buy Chinese phone with new silicon battery - it simply overkills everything before it. Not so fast in terms of charging - only 90watts, but the resource is unachievable.
ok i will try it, so i have 68 W charger ofc pho ne is not chargibng this speed all the time, but i try charging 30W charger se for month what is what
The best battery care for your phone is whatever method you can do best. If you have the same phone with someone, and their battery lasts longer than yours, there could be a multitude of reasons for that.. To name a few: Phone usage, charging habits, installed and active/inactive apps, online antennae and connectivity, surrounding temperature, or simply a manufacture-defect of some sort (either in battery or phone). Fast charging generates more heat, but it's better for people who are always on the go. But if their batteru health is of concern to them, then they should/could make a sacrifice in between with slow-charging. What has been working best for me is using a slower charger (brick and cable), only going as high as 85% and as low as 40%, and not using my phone too heavily when it's in the lower 40s....Others probably won't agree that this is the best way, but it works for me and that's all that matters to me with a phone which is "Mine". (It's a 2016 phone btw, so it doesn't have all the latest management software stuff. Only changed battery once.)
the problem with fast charge is the heat hence there is SmartCharge option, its automatically adjust the charging speed based on phone temperature (and 90% of the time fast charge never operate at maximum power anyway). also the best charger is the one that come up (and designing to be used) with your phone, so im not ditching my fast charging. haaa though luck apple and samsung user
bro imho the best solution is NOT how to increase batt lifespan, but learn how to CHANGE it DIY ehehehe i don't care anymore about battery health because in the last 10y i learned how to open every phone, or everything (toothbrush, bt headsets etc) and REPLACE batteries. even mod them using a 18650 battery with a spring holder. most of the time is easier to change battery than limiting 20 to 80 etc, too much hassle and i noticed some phone batteries last long even if mistreated with fast charge and 0 to 100, others threated very well last just 2/3years because were not grade A from the beginning!! u should teach people how to change batteries, and even fit different brand batteries inside the phone (soldering the cell)
realme allows phone charge up to 80%
battery is like a car park.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA
Are you French ? Your accent seems French for me.
Some right information and a lot of misinformation here.
People don't believe that my phone shows 88% battery health after almost 4 years of usage with just this simple change.
Fast charging is by far the biggest battery killer; my whife's new phone started showing degradation within a few months of regular fast charging and was a total wreck in less than a year (because women can't be bothered to think about this stuff😂). I changed the battery and nerfed the chargers by switching to 'normal' cables which only allowed for 18W max (9V/2A)...phohe's been going great for another 2 years now with no visible reduction in capacity.
does your wife use her phone during charging or not use the original charger/cable it came with the phone ?
Why is that when i use fast charging , the battery drains faster??
What magic arm are you using? How have you placed the shotgun mic on it? Thanks
I always buy my phones when the successor is announced. Doing that I can save a lot of money
This is actually a problem since Apple decided to remove the charger from the iPhone package. Yes, you can use any old USB-C charger now but those are ALL fast-charging. The old original Apple charger that was in the box was super slow and I liked that, since I always charge over night anyways.
But is it bad for my phone to fast charge even though my original charger is an 120 Watt charger and it's fast charge
Saying fast charging is bad is crazy
Even if your phone is off for 1 year. it still diminish 20% of its original capacity
How about putting ice (in a vessel) on phone while it's charging? Because it heats a lot (about 44 degrees celcius) when I put it on charging!!
Great video of including depreciation cost that’s a 1st I’ve seen~! I’m guessing your most fav color is green? A new viewer from Vancouver, Canada 👋
I currently have an s22, I originally paid $900 after tax. I am now considering saving a lot of money by just going with a lower end model, currently looking towards the new repairable devices from HMD.
Battery replacement from $50 to $200? Are you sure you're talking about smartphones, not Tesla? It's about $8 for a battery replacement
If you plan to keep it with you for a long time then this isnt the way to see it
This video is particularly to people who trade in but i prefer to gift out my old phones plus I've learned not to go for newer phones cause of Android now have 5-7 years update and the truth is most flagship phone users aren't heavy mobile users so it's better to hold on and get a phone a year later, thanks for the enlightenment
Ya i like it ❤so much bro i have just learnt a very important lesson from you sir, you have explained it so well and you know what from today onwards never will I ever put my phone on fast charging this is killing my battery 🔋 normal charging is the way to go thank you so very much sir and stay blessed 👍👍👍👍
How do we not fast charge? We get a less powerful charger? How do we know it works on the preferred slow charge rates? And what power is preferred slow charge power?
I have the same question. I have a 20w Apple Charger for my iPhone 14 pro / I think that’s what Apple recommends- is it considered fast charging ? Should I go back to those old small 5w chargers? I still have a bunch of those
I don't know if this works for iPhones, but in Android, you can go to your settings and toggle whether you want fast charging or not :)
@@Bmontepeque11 maybe only in some recent models
20W is a need..100W is fast @@marcossouzadias8824
@@DonPetrushka I have Note 10+ in the default charging setting it says Fast Charging.... so i change it to normal speed Charging
Me who left my phone at charging full night and unplug it after waking up in morning 🗿
I use "smart" charging, where i leave it slow wireless charging overnight limited to 80% and when it's close to my wake-up time it charges it to 100%, always in slow charge, I beleive this is the least harmful to the battery keeping the 100% battery charged.
ASUS has the awesome 80 and 90% limits even on Android 11, gg there
The more time you spend on the road, the chances of an accident increases. It must be the logical conclusion that you have to spend the least time on the road. Hence drive as fast as possible under all circumstances to get where you are going to avoid accidents. 😂
I dont get why ppl get worked up over this thing. You bought an expensive phone yet you limit yourself on how much you can use it. Going for 80/20 feels like you're simulating a worn out battery right from the start. The key here is to not let the phone left plugged at 100%. I had an iphone 11 pro max for 4 years, never did any of this and still had 85% battery health before selling it. It was still capable of giving me around 6 hours SoT
i use a samsung A35 and it has that 80% protection cap. reason i use that because of android auto. phone stays constantly plugged in so i can access music the most maps very little. to be honest battery will not last beyond 3 years maybe 4. i have not seen mine going beyond 3 even with 80 20 and with 100% charge.
Exactly. And nobody actually figured out the right method of it. I never care about these. Always charge upto 95+. And i charge 3-5 times a day. Each battery lasted 3-5 years
I go for somewhere in the middle. I charge to 100% overnight with optimised charging switched on, using a low wattage charger, however during the day I value the convenience of fast charging the occasional 20-30% when needed. I’m at 90% health after 3 years and 4 months so I’m happy with the results
If you dont want your battery to wear, dont use it. Your battery will be fine untill your next upgrade
One of the stupid things to do is to buy an android flagship brand new , wait for few years and buy for cheap
Devices are for people to use, not the other way around, if you really have no other things in your life then, sure be the slave of your devices. I charge overnight, always to 100%. One exception, I use old slow chargers. 500 and 750 mAh max...
Great video
Some people carry techno phones for over 5+ years plus and they always charge them to 100% surprisingly their batteries kinda remain very effective
im on 2 years using tecno still 100%. i always charge it 40%-100%. and also sometimes i left it charged overnight. its the best because it disconnects the power from the charger when it reaches 100%
For sure
I've watched many videos and studied articles stating that 70% is the testing optimal charge rate . I kept my iPhone 11 pro between 60 and 80 and two years in it was at 98% . And kept it cool as much as possible , or before charging it .
So u never let ur battery go below 60%? Too inconvenient for a lot of people. The 20-80 rule is already good enough.
Sony phones had better battery technology back in the 2019 (limiting charge)...It's very shocking that many devices are just getting these feature and some have not yet.
I charge my iPhone 12PM to 95 the last three years and my battery health is 93% with over 1.1TB of data used on cellular in that time. The real secret is do not leave your phone on the charger over night.
No , the charger does not charge it past 100% overnight . It's limiting it to 95 or say 80% that helps it stay healthy .
@@MrKrueger88 You're still using the battery even when it's on optimized charging. Very little, but after 6-7+ hours trickle every night for years, it adds up. Like I said don't leave your phone on the charger overnight even with optimized battery charging. My original battery in my 12PM is almost four years old this coming April.
@@Michael-jg6yf personally I charge to 70% and take the phone off the charger , or turn it off . But my phone batteries last ridiculously long by keeping them between 60 and 80% most of the time , and keeping them as cool as possible . I used to work for a massive battery company and I know a bit about batteries .
Super! Very informative my brother.! 👏🏼
Waiting for EU mandate of phone with replaceable batteries .
Mi 9 can be bought for less than 100$, its better than any phone you can buy 100$. It even gets 2x optical lens.
Depends on the country.. Here in turkey the secondhand market is very very strange. People sell their old phones for the original price, and I've seen cases where it's literally cheaper to buy an new phone from a shop cos the secondhand prices are just so outrageously high. So here... Buying new is almost always the only real option... I'm very envious to see what people can buy in other countries.. some real bargains there it seems.
Your argument is only Valid for iPhones and not for Androids as those thing loose its value and feel pretty quickly not to mention their degrading software experience.
