Welcome to The DIY Grunt, I’m Nikko!
I was introduced to DIY as a kid, helping my parents remodel our entire house. Growing up as a military brat, this process happened several times. I love the feeling of pride and accomplishment in creating and fixing things without having to hire a professional.
In 2014, I joined the military and served as an Infantryman (affectionately known as a Grunt). After several deployments, I decided it was time to move on and focus on my passion for DIY home and car projects.
I am also a fan of classic Porsches and currently own three of them. I look forward to doing a video series on rebuilding and modifying each of them in the future.

It has been a slow start for projects on the fixer upper house. I have been forced to do minor projects of low priority around the house while I wait for the foundation repair to happen.
