And I'm sure I'm older than most here but James Darren passed away not a month ago and unless I missed something, I didn't even hear his name mentioned on Tv, like I always do for others. And then I thought of going to AMC just to see if they put on any of his movies (wd have LOVED if they put on "Gidget" if just one time, and especially @ that time..). But No. Nothing. And then theres "A Summer Place" and I can go on.. And this is not to mention all of those great one hour shows that used to be on weekly from the 70's 80's 90's, etc.. Sorry, just venting, again. 😟

As Dana Plato and Todd Bridges basically aged out of "Diff'rent Strokes", their characters were relegated to recurring status, and the focus was almost exclusively centered on Gary Coleman and Danny Cooksey. Todd, despite his own problems, handled it better than Dana.

The way Mr. Bridges speaks of her you really get a sense of what a decent guy and a good friend he is. It seems like he only thinks of it in terms of how was my friend? Not how did it affect the show. Not everybody would look at it that way. Whatever else he was, he was a good caring friend

I was 9 when this came out. I miss EVERYTHING about the 80s. This is so nostalgic. The music, a young Valerie, the way the movie is filmed, the storyline, the cars, the simplicity, no cell phones, just living in the moment and taking it all in.. I love it all. I would do anything to go back to this time period.
