This is amazing for this trio of, now, much older men, but the original Cream live recording of this has a kind of manic, primitive energy that makes your hair stand on end, especially when Jack and Eric are wailing without any words No doubt Muddy Waters had gotten ahold of some ancient African American ritual music that goes back many millennia into our collective subconscious. To me, this piece captures what Clapton heard in the blues, that became his life’s mission.

Clapton has an extra anatomical nature/organ the rest of us don't have. It's called a Stratocaster.

It's 2023 and Clapton still ROCKS! Thank you T-Bone Walker. I love when Clapton sings and plays the Blues, I'm comparing him at a young age who is older videos and he just keeps getting better and better. He is the only musician that I know of that has played with more people than anyone else has. I would have loved to seen him play and sing this with T-Bone Walker. Unfortunately T-Bone died at a very young age.

On the second verse of that solo, yep, stay on that F note for a whole measure and that ALONE causes the crowd to go wild. Only Clapton :)

When I read what little or lot about Ginger Baker you have to think the only time he was happy was when he was playing those drums especially with Cream.

I think this is one of the most extraordinary parts of history in the mid 20th century. The offspring of WW2 veterans and Grandsons and Granddaughters on WW1 veterans found the Black American Delta Blues. The world has never been the same and way better off because of it!

2022.....So crazy that I would grow up and one day, legend Eric Clapton, would move to the USA, and live in my adopted home town. I can call Eric my neighbor,...as he lives in Columbus, Ohio. He couldn't have moved to a more "white bread", town,....though it has really grown up since the late 1970s, when I arrived. But really,...it is almost unbelievable, that he doesn't live in NYC or LA,......
