magnaflow 15781 4th gen v8 4runner
ordered this magnaflow 15781 for my v8 4runner. it will work for both the v6 and v8 models. no clue how it will sound with the v6. comes with a short and long flanged pipe depending on what engine you have. this is barely noticeable at idle. opens up good when you are in the throttle. cruising at 65ish, next to no drone. gets a bit noisy if it is under a load at 65mph but overall just what i was looking for. took me about a half hour total to install. that includes removing the old muffler and tailpipe. only parts reused were bolts and hangers.

Toyota solara 3.0 headers/cat delete 1mzfe exhaust clip

Figured I would add this to the collection of exhaust videos. This is a 2000 Toyota salora. It is a manual with the 3.0 V6. The actual headers sucked getting on but they are on now. I did not put the headers on to make it fast. Let's be clear, There were other exhaust issues with the front section and this was the cheaper alternative. I did it myself so I did not have to pay labor thank God! Th...

Jeep patriot 2.4 spark plug change

Just a quick video for those of u who aren't as mechanically inclined as others. I gave this on a scale of 1-10 a 2 in difficulty. Tools needed are a ratchet, 5/8 spark plug socket, 6" extention, t-30 torx screwdriver, and about 10-15 minutes of your time.
My wife's unexpected vday gift

Got my wife something for Valentine's that she never saw coming.
Hello great vid! I did a vid just like u! So funny and he’s so cute!😊
Yes. If you remove the high pressure switch, it will lose refrigerant in a very fast manor. If you overcharge the a/c, it won't blow cold either. There could be other issues but I would start by emptying the a/c system and putting the correct amount in. Too much will trip the high pressure switch
I remember when I bought 6x9s for my rear deck and it took me all day to take everything apart and get those speakers in. If you’re installing new struts the normal way you might as well install some new 6x9s too.
Hi I have an issue with my Celica not blowing cold air even when compressor clutch engages. I found that the compressor clutch only engages when I bypass High Pressure Switch with paper clip but it doesn't blow cold air even though it was re-gassed with refrigerant. I know definitely there is an issue with High Pressure Switch as I checked voltage and it doesn't read anything. Do you know how easy it is to change the High Pressure switch and if I remove it, does the refrigerant leak?
If you unfastened Phillips plastic head clips that hold the piece of plastic that you cut can you give yourself enough wiggle room to fit a small plywood divider that separates your cutting device from the wiring harness.
It looked like they had a jammed in there somehow like that. I'm sitting here trying to take some stuff apart without looking it up and all I can say is what the fuc
The way they want you to take it apart is to remove the majority of the trim in the back seat to remove the entire plastic panel. My car was a beater car so I didn't care about cutting it. It definitely makes the job take less time and when the seat is put back up, you would never know there were holes there.
@@festerfm my car's got no rust certainly not a beater, but I copied what you did. that's Insanity what they want you to do I had a good bit apart before i looked for a video
@@festerfm a 1997 F-150 to this 2000 Toyota solara, it really feels way newer than what it actually is
He said I took the front seat out because I don't use it all I heard was more to buy 2/4s
That’s a cool spec 99 with red pin stripe on black so nice
I have a 4 cylinder what kind headers can I get
Nice fix!
Thanks so much man
Checked pressure and its in the red! Pulled the relay for the AC and still nothing. So think it's the low pressure high pressure switch. AC turns on runs afew seconds then shuts off and blinks. Great.... Im bummed out now.
Is it in the red when the a/c compressor is running? If its not running it will be in the red and thats normal. Hook up your can and have someone turn on the ac and watch the guage when the the compressor kicks on for a few seconds. If it goes low, then you need a recharge. If its still high, let some pressure out.. but it wont give an accurate reading unless the compressor is running
This is great this is my next project But right now do you know how to get my keys out I locked them in
Hi I have the same problem I want to solve it can you do a video solving it?
Same here. Anyone found the real problem?
Thanks for the video
Hello I did this and it works got the clutch turning but it's blowing hot air not cool

Good find
you need to trash that entire car
That sounds a little harsh... couldnt ask for a better beater car!
Why’d you even watch the video? Pretty decent looking car for being up north and it’s a Toyota. You can’t beat it. Don’t judge a book by its cover
Yo so I just started modifying my 1999 solara v6 what headers would be good for it ? And any exhaust suggestions?
OBX header are all there really is online. You can get them on ebay
Thanks! This is what will be going on our '04 V8 4Runner.
where did you get the headers? ive been looking forever
They were from ebay.. however, i had to use an egr blockoff since the factory egr tube did not match up to the new headers at all. The fit was crude but was able to make it work. Ill find them again and put the link to them in the description. Also the manifold gaskets that came with the kit were trash!
Heres the link. However, i bought them for $230 back in 2019.. www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-Steel-Exhaust-Headers-Manifold-System-For-96-01-Camry-Solara-3-0L-V6-/172210511840?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
its a stupid design to have to take out the whole interior just to get to the struts
So u need more then one
Thanks so much man that's awesome. Now I'll have more afternoon today!
Just seeing the shops that he works out of and the fact that he is constantly moving I would not bring him anything that I cared about .
Just ordered this setup…if it sounds half as good as yours, I’ll be pretty happy. Thanks for posting! Was there any custom work needed to get the side exit instead of straight out the back?
No extra work at all.. that magnaflow kit came with the side exit.. everything hangs on factory hangers. Took literally half hr from start to finish to install
Talk too much
I have an oath to that I'm actually going to get a muffler and a resonator on in your opinion do you think it's worth it. I mean to be fair the Pathfinder doesn't sound like an SUV to start with it definitely sounds beefier in general which I love about this Gen Pathfinder.
It won't sound like a 350z if u open the exhaust up. That said, id toss on a clambered muffler and let it go like that..
@@festerfm oh definitely not 😳😌 what I'm trying to shoot for on my pathfinder is a way more beefy tone overall 💥🔥
Did the compressor cycle on and off
Nope.. the compressor came on and off as it should. Once in a while the a/c light would blink on the dash but it always worked as it should
Thank you I enjoyed the video
Just tried this on my ls400. Unfortunately it didn't work.
Usually, if it doesn't work the compressor is dead ir clutch went out.
If it not these, then check for fuses, relay, wires, blower resistor, high pressure switch, or TXV metering wire. TXV metering wire should be near the evaporator core which you'll have to remove the glove box to access it if I recall
@@yanglue611 the compressor kicks in for 3 seconds, the it turns off. Ac light starts blinking. Had it changed by two Ac shops, they can't figure it out.
@@MrLediogjergjani81 can you tell me what's been change? Or what the shop has done? I'm thinking a restriction through the orifice tube or an old high pressure switch.
@@yanglue611 First, thank you for taking the time to respond. So, car was having a low rpm when in drive. I read in some forum that this could be a capacitor issue. Replaced all capacitors. Issue with low rpm still persisted. Upon turning ac on, worked for 3 seconds then I can feel and hear the compressor disengage. In those 3 minutes air is blowing cold. Bought an other ECU. Unfortunately messed with one capacitor on the ecu that I bought and still ac won't work.
Dose you air fuel ratio get affect after the cat delete?
Negative.. the cat just cleans the air. The oxygen sensor before the cat is what gives feedback to the ecu on air fuel mixture. The downstream sensor just measures cat efficiency.
@@festerfm awesome thanks
@@festerfm how are you're obx headers doing any problems? And did you have to tune your car after since the headers only read 1 cylinder per header?
@@vladk163 they're still doing great! The underhood temps are a bit warm. My intake air temps are up because of that but other than that i have zero complaints other than i wish i didnt have to fab up an egr block off. The factory egr tube doesnt match up with the egr port on the headers at all. Simple block off was made but it did set me back a days worth of work. I would also recommend getting a pair of multi layered steel gaskets to go between the headers and the heads. The gaskets that came with the kit were trash! Leaked within a week. New mls gaskets are going on 2 years now with no leaks
@@festerfm awesome! I just got mine and when I seen the o2 sensor was only hooked up to one tube instead of lower down the header I was worried I will have to tune it🙃 so you're dose not run rich or lean? Thats all I'm worried about....

You still got your solara 😂 I see your in pa and so am I I got the second gen with one cat & resonator delete with a magnum flow
Yepper.. had it just about a year and a half now. I did have to put a cat back on for inspection but the sound barely changed. The car hit 200k miles in the beginn8ng of november and got a new clutch also. The v6 is running great with just leaky valve cover gaskets and the common knock sensor failures
@@festerfm sounds good man for real I have the second gen solara 3.3L and I’m trying to find places now for it to two step lol
As the owner of one of the first cars he destroyed 5+ years ago, I wish people would read the real reviews. I did get a judgment (public file) for a fraction of the costs. Every computer had to be replaced due to a short in wiring and ultimately the entire block /complete rebuild. No driving time on the car from the time it was dropped to him until $17k repair/rebuild with an actual credible performance shop. Friends were divided and business associates took sides, but in the end the block sits in my garage and I only started the car once a month. It will never 100%. I didn't go into the agreement blind, I'm in the motorsports business and he was just getting started. I rolled the dice and lost big! O, and the judgement....you can't get blood from a stone, so like all the others that have/had judgments, its meaningless.
Do I need to disconnect the battery? I've been having issues with the check engine light for almost a year now and I'm so excited to get these swapped out tomorrow lol. Fingers crossed 🤞
Thank you so very very much! It surely helps saving my time!!!
First of all let me thank you for touching on a subject that I have been trying to get info on. I see lots of people upgrading jeep patriot tires to bigger sizes an I was thinking about doin so but I keep on wondering what about the spare? Do you think you could fit a 29 inch spare in the patriots trunk?
I do think you could get a different size spare in there. Would be nice if there was a fuse you could pull or a way to lock it in 2wd and that would solve that problem
Soo how did you connect it? Did you use a 3 prong switch?
So basically, good general purpose commuting type tires? I was pondering getting these tires since no one makes the rear tire size for my '88 FZR400 (140 or 150/60-18). I actually have a set of really nice tires on there (Bridgestone BT021 Battleaxe) but they are so old (>14 years...old long story) there is no way I would ride around on them.
What did you end up doing? I'm in the same boat, just picked up an fzr400.
Haha me too.
its very dirty clean it and dont run rallys
It def is dirty! I live on a dirt road so id have to wash it everyday. Bit overkill for a beater
