    dot = a debuff that makes the enemy takes damage every time they take a turn debuffing enemy = nihility speciality debuffing enemy = def shred, slow, vulnerability, dot, acheron ultimate stack = nihility speciality its variative, and its great! its not an inconsistency. its their uniqueness. its not that serious of a problem.

    10:21 I pulled Dan Heng IL on his first banner and got his LC during his second banner. Before, he could clear absolutely anything put in front of him without any problems, but now I struggle with him. It's weird that he's struggling since he came out a year and a little ago, it's not like 5 years passed. Naturally, I fully agree with this.

    You know I'm completely down for the raid idea. I'm not big on co op but raids are a fun idea that is in other gotcha games. Hell you could make it work with Amphoreus since we know that 3 paths are fighting over the planet. Players could choose which path they want to fight for and then they work together as different fronts to fight bosses or even better the Titans we know are on that world.

    The fact that hoyoverse is sticking with the "Two banners every X day" is making the realease of new characters/rerun take so much time. They could easily, like most gacha, overlap banners. So they can produce more and feel gaps more often. In that way, they make whales pay more often and people are not mad because 1 year rerun

    imo the genshin comparison was kinda off. because what does vv do: res pen with the element swirl. what does xilonen do res pen the enemy based on the elements in ur team. like its almost the same thing but xilonen doesnt have to worry getting a reaction off. but kazuha has elemental dmg bonus in his base kit but xilonen access that aspect through the cinder city relic set. its almost like kazuha and xilonen buffs are similar but switched from talent to relic set. so xilonen wont be really a sidegrade, her healing allows her to work with furina but kazuha grouping can be usefull. but besides the point. imo the main reason is that hsr turn base wasnt complex enough for skill expression, games like persona 5 has more skill expression and planning while hsr is pretty simple so to make the new ones more enticing, yeet 100000 buffs in 1 kit. though i prefer hsr oveer genshin, genshin has the open world aspect in mind which can be include in the kits as some budget and enticing.

    Here are my personal takes: Topic 1: I agree with this. When i first got into HSR, Speed was SUPER confusing for me. I mean, it's a turn based RPG game, what the heck is speed gonna do? Make the characters do their animations faster? The explanation wasn't very clear and really felt like it was going off the rails. (i swear this was just a coincidence) I think what would fix this problem is a fighting segment that explains the details similarly to the beginner basics tutorial we get in the interastral peace corporation handbook, but instead, it explains more niche details whilst putting then in action, details that are barely even mentioned in the explanations the game gives us. Topic 2: I absolutely agree with this. We most DEFINITELY need a relic preset that holds our relic sets for us. This might not come off as much since we can just slap these sets onto characters we don't use or need, but again, it's just annoying to have to switch these around characters we barely use. Plus, it doesn't really solve our issue. I also think that hang out missions or anything we can do to get extra bits of story about the characters we like is really nice! I also think a friendship level chart would be very nice. Topic 3: could NOT agree ANYMORE with this. Hsr is a Turn based STRATEGISTIC rpg game that's key detail is SUPPOSED to make you think of you're rotations and what you want to do next. And that title has aged worser then milk over the past few patches with how many new team comps and characters have come out, so much to the point where even the developers have just given up on the entire strategy part. So having enemies or new bosses that actually make you stop and STRATEGIES you're next moves would be absolutely amazing! Topic 4: Hot take, but i think i can spin this around a bit more. A guild is nice! A guild is good! And i think it's a good way to use the turn based mechanic of the game while adding co-op to the game! But i wish there was a more open way for communication. There's the texting mechanica, but that's about it. There's screenshare, but let's just be real, most of us don't even have any close friends to screenshare with. So far, my best guess would be a special (permanent) fighting event where you join with 3 other players, pick a character, and fight a randomly generated boss. So, similar to a guild, but everyone gets to fight in one team. Tho, there's a huge problem, what if someone just randomly goes AFK or purposefully trolls you? Well, i think an Invite option where you can play with you're friends would be the solution. Clicking auto battle would only effect you're character, and there would be a pre-fight and after-fight chat where everyone can talk about the game. Tho, this would certainly attract alot of toxicity, but that is sadly something that's now regular in co-op fights. Topic 5: I absolutely agree with this. I think this topic can tie itself to the hang out events pretty well. They would give you special gadgets or special food items made for that character specifically to permanently buff them. But again, there's also a slight issue with that. I'm out of ideas here, tho, maybe, just maybe, a special center where you can give characters designated buffs would fix the issue. It would be similar to SU's blessings, but just more specific towards that character in general. This mechanic would also be runable with the Friendship level mechanic, Where you'd get a special and maybe randomized buff for that character whenever you get there friendship level up. This would prevent powercreep from being too frequent and Meta from being a huge problem. It still definitely has a couple issues, but it's the best i can name from the top of my head. And, those are all my personal opinions! Sorry for the wall of text and peace!

    I wish other damage archetypes were explored, but I have two main grievances: 1) limited characters need to be out on the standard banner. Like it’s been leaked that Robin will be a rerun in 3.0 or 3.1. What. AGAIN?! Meanwhile people like me are still waiting on Seele. Especially when some archetypes almost require characters, like Kafka. If people want to play a dot team, when can they? Whenever Kafka decides to rerun in 2029 I guess. 2) Older 4* and even some older 5* need buffs. They have their own stories, companion quests, lore etc. We fell in love with these characters and want to see them succeed. For example, I’m a diehard for Natasha. I fucking love her. Her design, her themes, her story. All of it. But her kit is practically useless at this point. She just cannot keep up with the damage output that now all assumes you have a Lingsha, for example. And worse, there definitely are people, like f2p, who literally only have Natasha. I just don’t understand how they’re making it through this content with her lol. And yes I understand she’s a 4* and yes I understand she was a free character and meant to be replaced. But then why give these characters stories and lore and make us develop favorites if we are never going to see them used? And, again, what about f2p or casual players who will continue to use her?

    I think the rerun banner system needs an update. Something like the first 5* on a rerun banner in a patch being the rerun character guaranteed. I feel like they could then slow down to 1 new 5* per patch and give people a reason to pull on rerun banners more. Either for characters they missed or eidolons for owned characters.

    I need that relic preset button. Sometimes I forget to swap my Jiaoqiu from a break build (I like messing around with fun team comps and also because I main him) to the build I use when I want to place him in my Acheron team. And I would also love it if hoyo could make a way to future proof characters like him because I have to admit that he isn't exactly the top/best character out there damage wise because people will pick Feixiao or Firefly or Acheron or Rappa over my boy Jiaoqiu without a second thought. Personally, it would be great if there was an ultimate cancel button because, let's admit it, people make mistakes and in my case, I'm pretty clumsy most of the time so I press the button for a character's ultimate instead of their skill or basic attack (Some people may call it a skill issue but it would be a great idea for people who miss click often like me)

      Someone in another comment mentioned that console players actually get something like a "time freeze" whenever they press their ult button, and it gives them a chance to decide if they actually want to use the ult or not. Maybe that could be added at some point to other clients.

    the real reason for HP inflation is that the community whines whenever hoyo introduces new mechanics on bosses because they can't be bothered to waste 20 seconds of their precious time to read what an enemy does in a turn-based game. so they stopped for a while now focusing on those mechanics that require you to plan actions ahead as much and instead focused on mechanics that are a lot more straightforward that can even be flat out ignored because they ultimately have you do damage to the enemy. look at hoolay and the past/present/future trio. yes they have specifics about breaking and attacking, but ultimately those say "just deal damage as fast as possible". when they introduced the penacony's "Death" boss, people whined that it was too difficult because they didn't take time to understand what you are supposed to do when the boss fills up your ultimate energy to full. Or how to go about freeing your allies. It was deemed "annoying" and "unsatisfying" by many casuals. when they introduced the Aventurine boss, even in the story people complained he was too difficult, when all it took was to bring AoE characters to deal with his dice stuff. The absolute pinnacle of hard "unfair" mechanics where the solution was just... AoE. yet people whined about that too, because they couldn't throw their meme 4 abundance team and work. They then complained about all other future variants of this boss in MoC and AS. when they introduced the Harmonious Choir final boss of penacony, i've seen way too many people say that the boss is too hard without break characters and without aventurine as a sustainer. When all you have to do is break the adds. So that you stack up a shield. A mechanic that's present in all 3 phases of the boss. Yet it was "too hard". so if your casual fanbase(which makes up the majority) can't be bothered to read move sets in a turn based game, ofc hoyo just ends up doing away with nuanced mechanics that test your critical thinking and your ability to decide how and when you should use certain moves as well as your team building ability(people refuse to use certain characters that are free just because they don't like them in a turn based game. The absolute state of casuals). And now, they just focus on more straightforward stuff like DPS checks(how fast can you deal dmg) or HP inflation and sell characters accordingly. Sometimes devs really shouldn't listen.

    One thing I wished they did for bosses (and I'm taking this from another gacha game I've played in the past) but I wished the bosses would do something at a certain hp thresholds and/or maybe every three or four turns have the boss do a certain attack. So that players will have to think about skills and ultimate uses and keep track of turns.

    I don’t think you can make superbreak team overall weaker, there are players who want to enjoy the game without pulling their hair out on relic farming. Instead, Hoyo should just buff alt gameplay mechanics more, like with DoT, because so far, pure DoT gameplay without Acheron just feels so useless outside Simulated Universe

    1. To me was eventually get a good relic which they are fixing 2. Banners instead of fixed reruns they would release based on Element or Path and you can pick one Character to be your pity pull so to avoid things like Seele being a year without a rerun 3. Personally i just want Aether Wars back as a Competitive PVP 4. A divergent Universe mode that you can use any character but they start lvl 1 and you go raising them until the actual lvl 80 5. Props so we may customize characters i want Giovanni Mask

    I like some of these points, however I'm sceptical about the idea of guilds. From 20 years of playing mmorpgs and other games where guilds exist. Even if they exist in name only, it is likely to evolve into an elitist system where whales coalesce into the top 2 or 3 guilds and start putting everyone else down (either by mocking or some other way.) Even if the rewards for these competitions are just cosmetic changes, there will very likely be in-group/out-group psychology among elite guilds and the masses, and that could lead to toxicity, of which there is already enough in large communities such as hoyo games community.

    I think so many ppl here missed your point lol. When non-nihility paths get debuffs, it doesn’t matter if “dots are debuffs.” The point is nihility isn’t the de facto debuffer anymore. Ergo, nihility HAS to be the “dot path” bc there is nothing else left for it to be lmao. And to that end, dots are just not potent enough, and Kafka needs to be moved to a standard banner for those who do want a dot team. Also, I do agree fights are “fast” and don’t always reward a slow burn, but they could rectify that but introducing not only new content that does reward dot gameplay (much like they did with TF and Erudition), but they could also introduce characters with mechanics that help. Like a contagion effect, the spore effect that passes to new enemies as they come in waves etc. Hoyo is very creative. They could do it if they wanted lol. The problem is traditionalists arguing dots aren’t needed bc “dots aren’t needed.” Well yeah… we are talking about revamping for a reason lol. No one thought super break was gonna be a thing… till it was.

    As a person who lost 50/50 to Ruan Mei TWICE, and recently dropped HSR until Fate collab or even forever, I can say that not having her is fucking trash. I can't basically play neither Rappa nor Firefly because my relics sucks (and I can't do nothing about it), my characters are max level, max lightcone and max traces (and I can't do nothing about it), I don't have neither Ruan Mei nor Lingsha (AND I CAN'T DO NOTHING ABOUT IT!). Man, that sucks.

    My biggest issue with HSR at this very moment is that it feels like there's not enough endgame. MoC, PF, and Apoc all take like 30 minutes total, and you do them once a month. Give me skins I can earn (yes, even with jades, I can deal with that), give me affinity systems I can work towards, High-value crafted accessories, stuff that makes me log in for more than the 10 minutes it takes to do my caverns and log out.

    Yeah, they should add more of different Characters interactions with the Player (like this for example) and overall progression of said interactions like Bond, Friendship or Quality Time or all tose Systemce at once gradually. HYV teams have money and resources, they easly can do everything if they wanted to (but they do bare minimum and stall to save costs while getting more profit it seems).

    i think we can argue too that all sustains that are capable of keeping the team alive are future proof. You might want an aventurine or lingsha, but if nobody is dying with your fu xuan and gallagher, the only way they become better is by dipping into utility

    if there ever were such a thing as a character staying relevant in HSR, it's vertical investing in a support that has a universal purpose ie. ruan mei, robin, sunday to some extent

    There should be a way to keep my old units useable. Eidelons? I had an E0 S0 acheron since launch and have been managing content until fairly recently when i pulled her E2 S1. Now I have zero issues clearing content and can wait for a good few more patches until pulling a new DPS. If your Unit is so bad they arent keeping up even with Eidelons then maybe its time you pulled again?

    Honestly, the best way to combat power creep is to lean towards feature creep. Make bosses or enemies with powerful mechanics that reward the player for playing a certain way, and design newer characters around being able to very easily utilize that mechanic. That way, the newer characters still get pushed, but older characters aren't left behind. The older characters can still utilize the mechanic for faster clears. It will simply require more thought to be used. One example could be designing a boss who becomes weaker for every different instance of damage that they take. This promotes DoT, FuA, and fast acting Dps characters. While this mechanic does promote very particular playstyles, other characters can still benefit from the mechanic through clever team building or strategy.

    - Little in-game explanation is a cautious decision to make HoyoLab or its surrounding communities relevant. - Relic preset is pretty much long-time requested feature, and they won't gonna do that because wasting your time increases their user retention metric. It also conventionally encourages casual users to build every character. - Raid mode is possible, but the battle system is doomed from its client-side architecture, and will open room for hacks unless they invest their server for a validator, and only Genshin that does that. Not saying that I don't agree, I love every feature mentioned.

    achearon should just have been smth like erudition or destruction i mean if the whole point of nihility is applying debuffs why would a crit dis would be in there

    3:12 shame shi in genshin and then the sheep call it QoL and I ask where tf is that? certainly not in these games they just add horrible features for relics/artifacts that nobody asked for all to avoid making an actual loadout system

    All I want this game to do is add back Aetherium Wars and make it a permanent PVP mode. You earn all enemy units through gameplay, just like in the event. That way, it isn't pay to win. That game mode was fun.

    Personally Would prefer better/different endgame mode as all 3 are the same Moc 2 team rush base got get done ine 20 cycle, Abysolute Shadows, 2 team got rush down yet again point system but yet again is the same thing rush it down or you miss the amount of turns, Pure Fiction 2 teams, rush to boss and kill everything before they kill you , which sounds different . but all 3 modes are 2 team 20 turns to win. And yes buff older characters.

    For me the only real problem are eidolons and characters. So personally I would like it if there was some way to temporarily increase a character, even if just 1 characters eidolon count by up to a +3 since we are gonna enter 3.0. Which can be done as part of the weekly reset to get characters you know aren't gonna be in rotation their needed boost. While I like that we hoyo has given us free 5* characters and 5* selectors the rng and banner rotation just means that unless you are gonna drop cash you will be missing a lot of 5* characters. Allowing us to get currency to "rent" a 5* character we are missing would be very helpful. Keep in mind you can't support into sections like simulated universe and Hall, Elegy, and Pure Fiction. As for the other aspects as the game keeps expanding hopefully we will see them give us that option down the line. Since the party car is a very niche addition when it comes to character interactions same as the parlor. Hopefully down the line they use the area they gave us in penacony and turn it into a mini-game hub event like they did museum but it being more roster focused on events and parties. There is so much they can do with that area.
