We are Nita Hughes, Glenn Hughes and Charlie! With this channel, we aim to share the great places we've visited and stayed in our 2019 RAM Promaster van along with the great local foods, cocktails and adult beverages we've enjoyed on the road while traveling around the United States (not while driving of course!) . We've been full-time "road people" off and on for more than 16 years and our current adventure began back in June of 2021. We bought our van with just one mile on it (our first ever new vehicle) back in June of 2020 and spent the year of COVID building it out. We hit the road exactly one year to the day from when we picked it up from the dealer in upstate New York. We've learned a lot along the way and hope to share what we've learned with other vanlifers and wannabe vanlifers. #cubbyvanlife #vanlife

@@marccurcio1 totally agree! Thanks for watching
@CubbyVanLife BTW, the Lavander Pit, used to be Lowell AZ! Most of the old cars and motorcycles on Erie St (Lowell) belong to the guy with the Greyhound Scenicruiser outside his building. Told me he grew up there, and he's just trying to keep his memories alive
Now there’s a couple faces from the past. Hope you guys are doing well lol. Great video and informative. I remember back in the 1990s while working as a ranger on the lake and back country. Many campground hosts who were great people. Good luck.

I love this. Thank you for all the information.
Love this van. I wish I had the knowledge to build one.
Thanks for the tour of the van.
We need all the recipes? Come on.
Hint: Cracker Barrel
Nice. What drone are you flying?

That swamp heat sucks .,. Please move to California.
We stay away from California like the plague. But we may have to go this fall, first time in years, to visit family. Looking forward to seeing them, not California 💰💸💵💰
Sunshade should be outside, that way cooling action will be 3 times more effective
Great idea, I’ll look for one. Not very stealth, but you don’t always need to be stealth.
Thank you so much!
Great video guys! Good to see you crazy kids putting out some content. I re-wound and played several times to look carefully and figured out the recipe for your lobster Mac-n-cheese. Sorry 😂 We are just starting our build and are also getting the Tern Overland windows. The S on the Fiamma 45S isn't for silver. We just got a black (case) one. I think it's just the most recent version without "standing for" anything. ("Supreme"?) Great vid. Good tips. We want to do what you guys do! 🇺🇸 👍 Cheers from the "LP"
Nice! Thanks for the comments and advice always, thank you so much for watching. See you on the road!
click bait. I was expecting to see a 2 piece bikini and some water frolicking.
You missed it? Rewind.

Love your videos! So nice to see people our age full timing. It's a dream for my husband and I. Do you guys have kids. If so, how often do you see them?
We have grown kids and a one year old granddaughter. We see them once or twice a year.

Nice! Thank you and have a great journey.
Well, you were very fortunate to get a spot anywhere around that lake and not find anyone. I’ve lived in Arizona most of my life, and years ago that was the norm. You could go practically anywhere and not find people. Now, forget it. No matter where you go you will finds loads of young people playing their damn noisy music, partying and getting blind drunk. You just can’t enjoy peace and quiet anymore, anywhere. So, count yourselves very fortunate. My idea in camping is what I did way up north in northern Ontario, Canada. Unbelievable. We went to a provincial park called Algonquin Park and did some portaging. That’s where you go from lake to lake carrying your canoe and gear between each lake. Best camping trip I ever been on. Nobody, absolutely nobody around except my friend and I. And the sounds of the loons on the lake at night was absolutely beautiful. Gotta go back one day, but, like everywhere else these days, it’s over run by noisy drunken young people. Don’t want to be around that at all. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the insight. You can still find private places to camp in many areas, however, almost never on the weekend. As a retired person who lives full-time in my van, I have to say the Friday is by far my most hated day of the week. Mondays are a dream. Thank God most people work Monday through Friday so we can get some privacy.
The state of Colorado is such a beautiful state! Microbrews are one of my husband’s favorite things! 😀We loved visiting Creede (probably 7 years ago). Stephen Quiller, an internationally well known artist and art workshop instructor has a studio in Creede. The outside of the gallery is lavender. The upstairs studio has a wood stove and the back door is open to the mountains. Most of his paintings are of mountains, trees streams and the general terrain in the area. He is also known for his color theory chart which is displayed in the studio. He still travels with his wife and teaches in many European countries. Sorry, probably more than you wanted to know. (I am a plein air watercolor painter.)😊 Thank you for sharing your adventures in Creede. Looking forward to your next Colorado video.👍
Thanks so much for all the great information. Is he the artist that painted the paintings on the side of the outdoor store shown in the video?
@@CubbyVanLife I know he was asked to do a mural but he did not want to do an outside one as he knew it would not last. He did do a mural inside the theater in Creede. Wish I knew more.
How long did it take you to complete Boynton Canyon trail, including subway trail?
I’m sorry I don’t remember how long it took but I would allow at least a half day.
Great video. So glad you did this. I wouldn't be able to do that climb to Subway Cave so it is nice to see it on film.
My funny friend Doug live there
new subscriber here. one observation of mine after looking at just one othere video (Gunnison) would be to incorporate the use of putting up a map when describing where you're at, where you're going etc. so the viewers are able to follow along. it would be useful to show where exactly the video is taking place and how relates to the rest of the state geographically speaking. 👍
Great suggestion thank you. We have actually done that in several of our videos, but I’ll make sure to do it in all of them from now on. Thanks for watching.
yea! Colorado...had the good fortune to 'tour' through the area you visited there not too long ago. very glad to have made the effort to get out there. hopefully be back ASAP.
Nice! We’re in Gunnison right now!
Old Sedona of the 50s is completely gone. The white Polar Bear and the few shops, hardly any traffic, all gone.
Where'd you go, folks?
WHAT wheel base, not in the description Titled
136”
Nice tutorial. Do you need a new washer on the oil plug?
You missed a lot of really cool places.
Really? Can you explain?
Your on air personality and beautiful smile is infectious. You bring so much to so many. Thank you so much.
You certainly must be talking about Nita. Thank you so much!
@@CubbyVanLife Yep your right, but you girls ain't so bad yourselves. LOL. Keep up the good work. I follow you as well.
Bet by putting that material on the doors it really insulated them as well. Nice job there! This is the 136" Wheelbase correct? Why Cubby?
Oh yeah the trunk lining is awesome insulation. The doors are never cold or hot. Yes 136” WB. Cubby was the nickname of our first dog a yellow lab who traveled tens of thousands of miles with us.
@@CubbyVanLife oh wow. Sorry for your loss. Cute name.

Love Sedona, thanks for sharing so much valuable information.
Thanks for watching!
When I do my build, I want the kitchen in the back with the sink above a shower pan that goes all the way across the floor from side to side so if there is a leak, the water drains to the gray tank. Your build is great though. I'm impressed with the cabinetry.
Why is the Lagun logo upside down? That would drive me nuts.
Have you considered pumping the oil out method?
No I haven’t because I have no room for the required equipment although it looks like a good option.
Thank you!
Strange that so many people from Spain were there?
Thanks that was very helpful 👍
You just passed by my campaign slab city and all I can say is boogie ass tourists. .... Why don't you go out to the soup kitchen by salvation mountain and meet some real people? It's going on right now.

I have a 2022 Pomaster with a swivel that I don't like and risers that I think are already like the eurocamper ones. The front height is 7 in and the rear is 9 inch. I am 5'10" and would love to be able to lower the seat. You said yours were 7 in was the rear height?
I believe so and they make a world of difference for me, Im 5’8”
