The Future of Astrophotography - LIVE Stacking with Richard Wright
Will the Starizona 0.4x SCT reducers be coming out? They have been in design phase for years now..
I believe they are close. They mentioned something about them but it was not something that was on my radar until after the podcast. If I am able to find out more and they are okay with more details I will let you know.
So... Will there be a Hyperstar V5?
Great question. I don’t have an answer for you, but from our conversation the reason for new versions has to do with limitations to previous version optical design and the ever increasing quality of modern optics. If Starizona sees at some point that their design is the limiting factor in the optical design, I am sure they would do a V5. I don’t believe that is currently the case, but they seem to take advantage of their small size to remain nimble and move forward with their design as the market continues to evolve.
Please make a video how to line the month
Unfortunately, I don’t have this mount in my possession.
Witness the not-so-subtle changing of the guard at Astro-Physics. Enough said.
I would be interested in doing live stacking at star party for public outreach. If I set up a monitor for public viewing though won’t that interfere with night vision for everyone at event?
Yes, a monitor would do just that. However, the whole issue is that most people live where light pollution already makes visual observing nearly impossible. Live stacking an image and putting it on a monitor allows outreach to be done virtually anywhere. Go where the people are…
do you like its image quality and sharpness ? I think they're too soft
They did some substantial updates since this video to the AI image processing. I have seen a marked increase in sharpness in the past few months.
Show me! Lol

Thanks for your experience with this ED binoculars! Amazing
tanx for the guide, shame that i need more saving to buy one ! but awsome video <3
Glad to be of service, thank you!
I want this stuff... my bank account may disagree though. ;-)
Top of the line products for sure.
@@CosmosSafari Yup, pulled the trigger. Eagle 5s and the 495mm losmandy weigh in at about 6 pounds.... 😲
This was never released. What happened?
They just started shipping to customers on Friday!
Wow i didn't know that thanks
Yes, I was awe inspired when I first found this out.
That bISH don't work. Stop your lIES breH.
As a beginner I doubt if I should go for the Starsense 150mm Tabletop dob or Starsense Explorer 8 inch dob as the latter has an excellent score for observing DSO's, planets & moon while the 150mm tabletop version has a score of good for these objects. Also the fact that my home location is not a very sky friendly observing location due to nearby objects and light polution I have to take the scope into the car and go to a more friendly observing location. The portability of the 8 inch is more cumbersome then the 150mm tabletop dob and I can also buy the additional tabletop tripod so I am not dependent of a table 🙂 So the question is: Is a 150mm tabletop dob still suffiecient for (dimmed) DSO's & planets or should I definitely go for the 8 inch (grounded) dob?
I personally like an 8 inch, and once you add the tripod they are comparable in size.
@@CosmosSafari Thanks for the quick response. Personally I like the 6 inch version as I could put it on a table if I want to. However the weight is for me an issue (34 lbs = 15.4 kg vs 44 lbs = 20kg) if you have to carry the seperate parts from car to the observation location if this location is not nearby the parking lot. The additional tripod for the 6 inch tabletop is folded so easy to carry. The main question for me is the view of DSO's and planets. It is obvious that clarity is less in the 6 inch then in the 8 inch but will this be a remarkable issue when looking at sky objects? I do not want to blame myself afterwards that I did not buy the 8 inch instead of the 6 inch. Can you say something about this?
Is there a barlow / powermate option so we can do high res Lunar, Solar, and Planetary EAA with it?
I don’t believe that’s currently a feature.
Continue your channel
The origin is pretty cool, but the only negative thing about it is that it’s not backwards compatible with lens pieces which is… A bit of a downgrade on my opinion because it only uses the built-in camera
Wait?! So my 8” Dob would turn into a 24”? That would be insane.
I have looked through one of these on a 36” dob in Cherry Springs State Park. We looked at the Lagoon and Trifid nebulae when I was steering the scope. It was surreal. Here is Al Nagler’s account. televue.com/televueopticstalk/2018/06/22/cherry-springs-star-party-recap/
Thanks

Ridiculous price for what it is
So..Yeah…Not Anyone Can See The Milky Way…Some Have 0 Means,Whether Physically,Or Financially…Im In A Bortle 3 No Issues,But The Arrogance…What Happened To The Humble Person I Subbed Too
I don’t believe I said at any point that “anyone can see the Milky Way”. I *want* everyone to see the Milky Way.
@@CosmosSafari..Anybody..Was Your Actual Word..Go Back And Listen To Yourself In The 1st 15 Sec….And Theres That Arrogance,Even Written In Text…Anybody,You Lost A Sub Today
😂😂😂😂😂..Cause You Know You Did
Seems awfully slow for EAA. My little Seestar had M42 as bright after a couple of 10 second subs. And the Horsehead much quicker. TO say nothing of much better views of globulars.
This is partly my fault for not being more clear. I had a nebula filter in for these so the "speed' was significantly reduced as a result.
I’ve found it easier to locate the sun or any target on the telescope first. Next remove the eyepiece and attach the cell phone adapter to the eyepiece. Next replace the eyepiece and adapter onto the telescope.
When I used to have an observatory I was able to leave it set up and maintain polar alignment and a computer model ready to go from nighttime observations. It was nice to slew to the sun with 1 button at any time. I cannot wait to get an observatory again. Hopefully soon 🤞
A sun finder is also a nice tool to use. Finding the sun with a telescope is not as easy as one would think. With an inexpensive Solar finder I can dial in the sun in seconds.
Celestron has one that they put on the 50mm Travel Solar Telescope. Optics on that are surprisingly decent. I wish they would sell JUST that solar finder as a stand alone product for $20 or something. It cannot cost that much given that the 50mm Travel Telescope was already a bargain.
I've got the RASA V1 & for me it's been a love hate relationship with the scope, don't get me wrong when you get it dialled in its phenomenal. However I've find bigger sensors bring bigger problems as tilt is picked up more than in a slower scope. The centre lens group is another weakness where they can come loose even if you are careful not overtightening it. Of course being the V1 mirror flop can be a real pain to. Another design feature I think they should come with is an M54 threaded adapter for full frame cameras as even the M48 ones cause a lot of vignetting so be sure your flats are good.
"Classical Mechanics is *boring* !" Arnold Sommerfeld and Felix Klein wrote a multi-volume work titled "The Theory of the Top".
4 grant no thanks
That is a very bad horsehead nebula image for a $4000 scope.

I like that you can put it on to an equatorial wedge designed for Evolution mount to do longer exposures without field rotation ( don't know whether that is implemented at launch)
Very cool!
I love your devices and software. My Eagle 4 Pro came with Windows 10 Enterprise. Microsoft has said they are stopping support for Windows 10. This bothers me. Can your staff provide instructions on updating my Eagle to Windows 11

我感觉RASA对大口径的施卡更友好。起步应该是8英寸,16英寸....是不是有点太贪心了?

👍🏽 yes
Looking at their marketing material looks like they skimped on the one component that would have made the most difference, the camera :(
