Unironically, Barbara is the character that has received the most amount of indirect buffs than any other character in Genshin, and one with the most amount of builds one could ever think of. As a support you have Noblesse, Ocean Hued Clam, and now Song of Days Past. As a DPS... Heart of Depth, Shimenawa, Echoes, DPC (as a NA DPS with Mika and Yun Jin), Nymph, Maréchaussée (with Furina), and even Unfinished Reverie if you want some BurnVape stuff. She can also use Gilded or Paradise Lost if you play her with Nilou. So yeah... She's hilariously powerful

I have to agree. I broke down and built her and now I use her ALL the time!

I always believed Barbara was great. Finally more people saying this. She can revive, has 5* animation, can do water dance, and her healing is WAY HIGH. Only issue is when cryo slimes. Barbara is even good in Abyss imo.

Barbara is a great healer. And with Ocean-hued clam, she outputs a descent damage. I killed Oceanid with solo Barabara multiple times. And the only investment she needs is Prototype Amber.

A lot of times I have people telling me "get Zhongli, get Zhongli! He's a great shielder!" And I then turn to my Layla who's been with me since day one. I fell in love with everything about her, and for three years, she's been my most used and favoritized support. I put her in almost every team comp, whether it be hyperbloom or swirl, she's there!

Kokomi was the first character I levelled to 90, and she is still the main DPS of any team I play (seriously, between, say, Yae Miko and Yelan her burst is pretty crazy). Love her to bits.

Xianyun is my favorite too. She's so good. ❤❤

Something I do not understand about tier lists is that they never factor in accessibility. That is a HUGE part of Gacha games for people, since not everyone can afford to spend lots of money on it and some people obviously do not want to. A character can be as strong as anything, but especially when merges are a thing in most of them. If we are basically making tier lists which cannot apply to a huge number of players, why do they even matter then? That's why I say that you should just let people like whoever they like. Otherwise it's basically shaming people for being unlucky and/or not being willing to spend money, which is just really sad. It's a game, it's meant to bring people enjoyment.

I've played Genshin since day 1. I have all but like 4 characters. I have beaten the abyss twice and have not 36 starrred it. I just don't care.

Do you know why "Meta" exists? To make you spend. This is artificially made by community staff for said game to make you purchase ingame. If you listen to "meta", you're a "meta" whale and will spend. They know that and that's why "people" are always wrong about a character when they come out. Get rid of "meta": 1/ It makes no sense in a PvE game; There's no competition. 2/ It's misleading. Every characters are useful and you're free to use anyone you like. 3/ Having the best "DPS" is a non-sense. It's not a MMORPG, it's an Action-RPG with local co-op. The real goal is to defeat the enemy and complete the challenges, not the damage you do. 4/ "Meta" people are hypocritical and toxic. You won't get loved by those. If you want to be loved socially, try to have fun yourself and honest people will follow you. 4/ Crit rate is a scam. You don't have to have high crit rate. It doesn't increase your damage. So what's the true damage dealer stat? The equilibrium in crit rate, crit damage and main stat (atk, def, hp or EM depending of characters)! The more you're balanced, the more you'll deal damage. 5/ Don't "Farm" artifact. It's useless. Once you gain a main stat on your set, increase to +20 on every pieces and you're good to go! You can clear almost all content with lvl 80, +20 artifacts with main stat, lvl 80 weapon 4*, Talent lvl 8, C0. And that's it. 6/ What makes you a good genshin player is how you use elements, reactions, resonances, team compositions. Don't go with a "no bonus" team, it's useless. Those who don't know how to make a team are the one who think they're not strong enough and lvl up to the max without needing it (and then complain about genshin being a gacha). No, it's just you don't do things right. Use your brain.

I C6’d Bennet a long time ago. Honestly, I don’t regret it. The number of circumstances where I need a specific sword, claymore, or polearm character to apply a specific element is so few and far between that it might as well not even exist. This way I get to add a few extra pyro reactions that I might not otherwise get.

My joy in this game derrives from getting cool characters. Furina is on my list after i got sigewinne. Sigewinne is the cutest and her off field team heals save lives. Furina... is jesus. And she has some of the best healing in the game. But personally i will still like sigewinne more purely because i want to create a child army and sigewinne is more versatile with qiqi than diona. Just wait till i get dori, sayu and klee. And you best believe i will roll all my cash down the slot machines for an electro kid. Its funny to have the most evil creatures ever be beaten by small children. And xiao is my main dps right now. He's versatile enough to be able to dps the game for the time being. When i think of a character that is cool i wouldnt think of xiao, but he is cool.

Been playing for so long I have 3 AR 60 accounts. Completed Spiral Abyss with max stars maybe 2 - 3 times on each account then lost interest in it entirely, took a long break. Now I just play to have fun building random characters and testing them out. Pulled on Dehya's banner cuz she looks cool, don't regret it in the least, she can be fun to play if used right. Barbara? She is my girl, been with me from day 1 of my journey in Genshin, I got her on my first 10 pull (Noelle beginner banner). Same goes for Jean, same 10 pull. I made new baby accounts just to try out new teams and get different 5 stars from my built accounts. I take my time, collect all the occuli etc and really try to get the most out of each area before moving on. So much more fun than just speed running through everything. I do wish there was a "skip all dialogue" option for all the annoying quests I have done 50+ times and a mute button for paimon so she never speaks at all.

As somebody who main Team for the last couple months is: Dendro Travler, Fischl, Keqing, and Furina. A hyperbloom team. And while I do mix it up by swapping a slot or two for Amber and/or Ayaka, I always resort back to my main four even if most would consider it a "bad team". I'm a total casual, and only build characters I like and I have fun not having to worry about getting high numbers.

As a Kaveh main, I never related so hard. WAIFU > META!!!!

She got the best play style for me, because I hate having low hp and like play mage, and my girl got every one of those :D Been my main dps since I began the game just because of that

I’ve been playing since version 1, and my favorite character is still Tartaglia. He was my first ever limited 5 star. I got him on his first rerun and I’ve been maining him ever since. I have no plans to main anyone else, even with how many good characters there are in this game. There’s just something special about his writing that makes me love him more than most other characters-not just in Genshin, but in fiction as a whole. He’s full of contradictions that make him more human. He lost his childhood in the Abyss and it warped his mind so much that he believes it was a good experience just because he got stronger from it. At the same time, he’s an extremely normal guy who likes to fish and spend time with his family. His eyes lost their light because of his experiences in the Abyss, but the light returned in the Fontaine archon quest because he saw the Narwhal from the Abyss-the symbol of his trauma. The very sight of the thing that lost him his childhood made him feel such a sense of childish wonder that the light returned to his eyes. He’s such a fascinating character. Combine that with the fact that he’s mortal, which lends itself to a lot of interesting things in Genshin’s immortal-focused story. He fights gods with the idea that he could become stronger than them one day. Which he won’t. He’s bound by the limitations of mortality in a world full of immortals, shown through the way his most powerful weapon-the foul legacy transformation-kills him if he uses it for too long. Anyway yeah I built him as a solo DPS with no elemental reactions and only Kazuha for crowd control. I like to see if I can get him to be even stronger all by himself. I like trying to take down bosses with just him. I unironically use his ranged stance because swapping stances is really fun. Playing the game with just him and ignoring the idea of team comps and elemental reactions entirely is some of the most fun I’ve had in this game, and it’s nice to hear that be validated :)

l played multiplayer a couple of times for abyss and every single time 1 or more of the randoms would constantly ask for crystals or for a fukn blessing. Every.single.time… the community is full of fukn broke 14 year olds begging for shit I switched my world to not accepting requests to join pretty fukn quickly and just play the game any way I want… literally the only time I’ve had that problem with a multiplayer game. A little later I got to hoyo app for the daily login and noticed, once again, ppl constantly leaving their player IDs and begging!! It’s insane XD I’m literally embarrassed to be part of a community like that….

kokomi was the second five star i got (after losing my 50/50 to mona and getting her 10 pulls later) and back then i couldn't care less about what people were saying. as a beginner i was just happy to have a pretty character that kept me alive lmao. she also does interesting damage despite her crit rate. i still to this day try to find ways to include her in my teams. yay healers <3

Honestly once I start learning about genshin mechanics it kinda took the fun out of me. People always discourage things that isn't idk consider as meta and like bad characters or good characters. I got so highly focus on character building it tired me out so bad.

To this day, i'm still a Kokomi hater. Look i roll for a character base on story and personality. Komomi on Inazuma's story was so hollow, Miko was more strategic than the leader of an army, her character story was hella mid and her personality is so boring. Her sorty hinting on her be a reincarnation of the hydro sovering was the only intresting point on her, but Neuvillett came and make me hate her even more. I prefer to pretend that kokomi dosen't even exist, i refuse to belive that Hoyo made such a empty and hollow character

I don't know if you have a video on the bow user characters. They really aren't my favorite. Amber comes in handy at times but I don't like using them in battle too much.

my favorite team to run ever since raiden's banner came out is using her with yanfei and getting overload to trigger 50million times, it's a team i still use to this team and i'm still having a ton of fun using it

I really love all the characters. Theyre so silly, and im honestly more concerned with the story and lore than getting big numbers of damage and the gameplay. I currently main Razor, because hes my favorite character ive seen in the game so far. Im a bit of a new player and i feel that trying to do the "meta" and getting the highest stats possible kinda ruins the game for me. Maybe im not enough of a gamer but thats how i enjoy genshin :-) if you enjoy getting the big numbers and the highest stats, all power to you, go do it, thats just not my thing
