During the live version, when there is the "oooooo" part, SU takes a stance with her arms towards the back, to mimic the statue! Sakura Gakuin is where Babymetal originated If you want to see SU from even before SG, you should check out "Karen Girls": It was a trio pop created to sing songs for an anime, and SU was one of the 3 girls singing! "Over the Future" is the favourite song for fans, so much that BM covered this same song few years later! So you could do a double reaction with the original and the cover from BM 😄

I think this song is about warning the danger of getting in a relationship and messing with psycho/yandere person. Because in Japan there's a girl that stabbed her boyfriend just because she loves him so much and she doesn't want he falls to other girls. She's even calling the cops after she stabbed her bf and just sitting down next to his dying body.

Actually, these three girls could have written their own song lyrics, especially for SU who has a high imagination. However, because they are singers and dancers (idols), they need to rest longer so that their bodies are always fit and in shape so that incidents like Yui don't happen again. I know Su does lots of karaoke, it allows her to experiment and just general practice to keep her voice in shape. I saw a pic and she had a derby hat on, they say people dont recognize them in public very often cuz they just look like normal Japanese girls when out of costume.

Thanks to the girls, I ended up creating my own reaction channel. And also could refer to Momo, since she hadn't officially joined at this point. And/or it could refer to the new version of BabyMetal as they are reborn with the addition of Momo. Also, this is the first song Su wrote the lyrics to herself! The breaking the barrier motif may also be an indirect call to the return to normalcy due to Covid, as Babymetal, a live performance act, has been “trapped” in that environment, unable to perform properly. Good interpretation though! “OO” = “The Other One”, name of their 4th album. 🤘🦊

While I enjoyed your exuberance and appreciation of the video, this may have been an instance where I wished you had watched the video in its entirety and THEN watched it again, doing the fun analysis you did on a second viewing. IMO, you weren’t able to appreciate the video/song as much as you could have, what with the continuous pauses in your initial run-through. The video never had a chance to build momentum. I knew it was going to be a ‘problem’ when it took several minutes to get past the first 20 seconds of the video 😂 That all being said, how would you know going in that you’d have this kind of response, right? All in all, I still enjoyed it, and keep up the positivity. Your reactions are a treat 👍🏻

A majority of their songs don't have a music video or live version. Just an audio with album cover video. All their songs are on their channel. Yeah, the MV for Reiwa gives you an idea of the song's subject.

Servitute is an interesting word, as where they were was having a break of being in Babymetal, so the opposite of any work. 🙂But their love of performing actually made their desire to perform stronger again. They had this planned for many years, after 10 years, take a break. Finish any school, university, etc. and be able to return full force. In the following year they performed more shows than ever before in a single year, almost a 100. The 2 circles are for the (so far) latest album: the Other One. But yes, that's a reference to The One being Babymetal and their fans. One way to look at it is: maybe the Other One is the new Babymetal they became about half a year later with Momometal.

Great reaction. This is a visualiser rather than a music video (although I'm not entirely sure of all the differences ... I think I get what a visualiser is, I can't possibly explain it with any sense of authority). As you know. Su-metal is the credited lyricist for this song. When they heard the demo tape she liked it a lot - it reminded her of 'Road of Resistance', one of her own favourite songs. She said she wanted to write the lyrics ... which is exactly what happened. The OO symbol represents the album logo (The Other One) - it is also the symbol for infinity of course and relates to their story of (while they were "sealed from the world") having been roaming the Metalverse and discovering alternate realities and dimensions with their own alternate BABYMETALs before returning with the 10 songs, each with its own theme, from those dimensions. I think the stated theme for 'Divine Attack - Shingeki' was Cavalry. Su's voice is amazing - for me it always was and she just gets better and better as she matures. Yes Moa was providing harmonies and singing all the "whoa whoas". That is more obvious if you watch the live performance (PIA Arena 2023 is great of course) since Su is so obviously not singing those parts.

Nice reaction. Babymetal went on a break they called sealing them away. And then Covid happened, and their break got extended. IMO Su-metal who wrote the lyrics to this song felt some kind of way about being locked away for so long. Also, there is a change in dynamic. Before in songs like Road of Resistance they asked the fans to join them on their road. Now they're asking for us to charge out and go are own way. Take our own Road of Resistance. Another banger and another strong positive uplifting message by Babymetal. Moa does sing back up harmonies on this song. Folks forget sometimes that one of the reasons Moa got chosen for Babymetal was because of her compatible voice to Su. Making it hard to pike out Moa's voice sometimes. IMO you can hear it better in their live performances. I'm still getting used to hearing Momoko singing. It seems it's true Babymetal is stronger as a trio. Doing more shows and they seem more pumped up for the shows if you can even imagine them more pumped up. The fans have really taken to Moa and Momoko on this tour. Moa is going to need a bigger suitcase for all those gifts. Even Su is smiling a lot more during shows. And let's keep it that way. Su's death stare can kill. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

This is a gem that doesn't get any live performances outside of Japan. And knowing Su has writing credits is why I love this song so much. I am currently in Mexico City and just witnessed these ladies with Slipknot last night. We'll worth the trip 🤘🦊🤘

Nice one, thanks! This is not a music video, it's just a "visualizer" something bands do when they can't or they don't want to make a proper music video. Even so, it felt so good when it was released in October 2022, meaning the end of their hiatus which started officially in October 2021 with the release of "The ONE - Stairway to Living Legend", an acoustic version of the song. Yes, The ONE is the name of the fandom but in fact, it's a wider concept including BABYMETAL (the ladies themselves) and all the people who works with them (musicians, songwriters, choreographers, technicians, roadies and all kind of staff). The covid and post-covid restrictions and the later hiatus (apparently planned) was a very tough time for them all and the choice of "The ONE" to set "the seal" was not a coincidence (yes they said that they were sealed from the world). "Divine attack" is a great song, well structured, elegant, with a smooth drive, cool drum & bass parts, nice orchestral touch, some heavy riffing and, of course Su-metal's amazing vocals. Not to mention that she is credited for the lyrics on this one for the first time. That's a really big achievement for her and (in her own words) a "dream" and "a final goal in life". About checking out their origins in Sakura Gakuin, I believe it's a good idea as a fan. And they are pretty awesome, to be honest. 😊 🤘🦊

Your visual analysis is always really great. I can still recall how excited I was when this music video was released. All I could do was shed tears for the return of BABYMETAL.

Interesting that you mentioned them breaking through a glass barrier to say "We are here". I'm not sure whether you arr aware of this, but this was indeed the very first release after their break. Which was the reason why the beginning of the vocals immediately drove me to tears. It was so good to hear Su's voice again. It still feels special whenever I hear this song. Edit: Sorry, should have watched to the end first. Obviously you were aware. :-)

One thing is for sure from my observations. During the hiatus, Su straightened her teeth. You are right, "We are here, and we are back with Power", lovely song.

Great reaction as always. I think what you were trying to express at the beginning is how artistic it all is. The Other One album is a work of art from beginning to end, both the music and all the visuals that went with it. In fact, the album launch felt more like a cryptic and abstract art galley installation than a typical launch. I'm sure everyone who waited for this album over the 6 months before its release will know what I mean and never forget it. It sometimes even felt spooky and mysterious (you had to be there, lol). This is the very album they needed at that time in their career, whether some people realised it or not. It acted as a soft reboot by doing the complete opposite of trying to be a commercial hit and did away with the kawaii aspect altogether. It also made the subsequent (planned) return to the fun and kawaii sound with Metali and Ratatata hit 100 times harder than it would have. Just releasing a Metal Galaxy Part Two would have felt both safe and stale after the hiatus. This album made music critics who thought they were a gimmick see them in a new light. TOO is like Babymetal's Dark Side of the Moon to me. It's in my top 5 favourite albums of all time. I forgot even mentioned the song itself LOL. It's fantastic.
