No one in the rocket community calls a 900cc bike small.
I’m getting a 2020 soft tail standard this weekend
I count 5 kicks..... you literally outed yourself bud...
$3K for an '87 FXLR...can't complain! Just a little TLC and she'll be good as new.
This video kind of makes me feel like I got a bad deal. I bought a 2006 Sportster XL1200c with the 4.5 gallon tank and 11,000 miles. $3500. Is that a bad price?
Of course a finely tuned machine such as we have here fires right up.
He'll yes Live Action😊😊😊😊
All i gotta do is turn a key and press a button
Please note before buying a 81 FLT. The frame is much different than a FLH or FX frame.
why do you call it buttcrack? do you like the smell?
My 79' has 2-inch Drags with torque rings and ported heads runs great
Picked up a 2006 Sportster/Roadster right at T-Day. Pretty much gave retail but it had new tires, recent service and some service history. It's getting closer to what I want it to be and I'm looking forward to spring. Bought my first one 40 years ago in February 1982 and decided to finish life with another. 🤠
1997 Softail custom 1 owner garage kept. 11K miles. Runs great. Seller won’t take a dollar less than 6 grand. Should I keep looking or is that a fair price?
I know its trendy and "cool" to love the Evo and older, but the later TC's(96ci and up) are fantastic, reliable motors. I've had one for 7 years I scored cheap and I've done several 1,000 mile+ road trips and they'll hum along on the highway all day long. 6th gear and rubber mounts are nice on those long trips if you like to camp off your bike like I do. Not to mention that thanks to the dyna-bros, there's almost as much aftermarket support for these Dynas as the sportys. Mines been just as reliable as the two Evo's I own. To each their own.
They're fine, not really interesting to me. Nothing trendy about it, just what I like. Glad yours has treated you well and that you're actually out there riding it vs leaving in the garage! Be safe
Very interesting ! Waiting on my 2017 Iron to arrive, after 40 years of riding I just bought a Harley ! Just waiting for both bike and spring here in Sweden !
So gay
Yes that's correct I found a 1975 XLCH and it makes a huge difference when you are in person vs asking on line. I offered a good honest offer and the seller took it.
Absolutely, and you got a nice bike from the pictures you've sent!
That’s why Harley is closing shops all over the place. Nobody is buying new‼️There are thousands of used Harleys on the market.
It‘s always best time to buy a harley. There are so many of them around, the market‘s flooded and has been for decades, every year more and more. Oh, it‘s great time to buy MZ, too.
Obviously prices are different over here in the UK , same reasons apply though cheaper in winter.
Good video buttcrack. Keep on keeping on bruthor
It’s way too cold now! Maybe by summer.
I'm waiting to sell my road king until it gets warm
Yup, that's the time to sell it
I live in Kimball NEbraska, and I am looking at the prices of the bikes over there for my first bike. idk if the prices are fair (looking, Sidney, Scottsbluff and Cheyenne mostly)
In Europe we only can dream of those prices!
Just bought a 2017 sportster 883 SuperLow in fact. The only one without a peanut tank!!!! Score!
Old Harley's and other old bikes are basically only for people that are mechanically inclined, If you cannot read a service manual especially schematics of engine parts which is just a small part of it, Then just stick with new bikes. Anything old if you do not get it real cheap is a money pit same goes for automobiles.
Got that down for sure
They want 6k for an 05 electra glide with 55k miles? What you think?
Just picked up a 74xlch in near mint for 1700
Wonderful topic, and two thumbs-up on your commentary. Got my '03 1200 Sportster in Nov. '23 (filling in for one I lost 18 years ago), and, agreed, the late fall/winter months set a tone in terms of how seriously you're going to be looking at a potential purchase; no impulsive, "I'm just gonna pay and ride outta here," thing. Had months to determine that the bike had been restored professionally, and loving every minute with The Black Fox now.
I bought a 07 Flhrci with 4500 miles. Love it.
shovelhead
on buying a used bike there is 2 kinds - running/riding and not running/riding don't buy some bullshit story that it ran last week but won't start now remember it either runs or it don't
Likewise, I move away from “all it needs is…” If it was such a simple fix, they would have done it already. It is often cover for other hidden problems. Price accordingly.
I guess I got a steal on my shovelhead. 4K and rode it home with no issue. I've probably put close to that much into it afterwards though. A lot of stuff I didn't have to do, but I think it's been worth it.
Ya done good buddy, hope you're well!!
You are absolutely correct I’m looking for one myself I don’t need one but I’m looking for one that I may be able to flip come spring
Here in Texas it doesn't seem to matter what time of year it is, you won't find many screaming deals.
Shoot! I rode in South Carolina for years. Few days was it too cold to commute from Cross, to North Charleston. Now it is 34 below zero in Montana where I'm at.
how much would you think a XL883 iron 2015 should go for? i got one near me and hes asking for £5999. any advice is welcome guys
Doesn’t sound like a bargain but doesn’t sound like a ripoff either
@anonobot3333 yeah I'll see if they will go down to 4k and I think I'll buy
Whats your opinion on Buell? I see them going for around the price of a evo sportster and they come with a nice warm motor.
I wouldn't be surprised if I owned a Buell in he near future! So that should tell you something lol
You don't like twincam but 99 to 02 are easily the most reliable Harley out there after you upgraded the cam chain tensioners. You can run the ever loving piss out of them. Every vehicle I've owned I was last person to drive it and never had anything for more than 2 yrs. I've had my 02 lowrider for 5 years. Bike is very reliable and can take a beating.
Glad it's working out for you, they're just not my thing
@buttcrackcycles every one has their thing. I like everything 2 wheels that's not a Chinese knockoff. I don't understand why most don't. I appreciate anything purpose built. Plus pans and shovels are for filthy rich people anymore. I find it hard to pay 4 to 6k for a project evo when I can buy a low mile twincam that will absolutely rip circles around it lol. Then again I'm not a real biker just a practical enthusiast that likes to tare stuff up.
I've been daily riding a 2007 Road Glide, but I have a list of bikes I want to own. Earlier this month I saw a listing for a 1980 FXWG. Did exactly what you said. Showed up with a trailer and cash. Bike needs minor work but runs and rides. Got it home for $5200 plus some parts thrown into the deal. Never even thought about this being the best time to buy. I just this and had to go look at it. I've always wanted a wide glide and I've always wanted any Harley with a shovelhead engine. This checks both boxes.
There ya go, I like it! Trailer and cash talks, glad you got a bike that checks some boxes
Well, Trump is gonna fix the economy so bike prices will go back up, right?
I'm hoping so! Not wanting to sell my bikes cheap!
It is never a good time to buy a hd out of all the German Italian and Japanese masterpieces especially the Honda VTX unless you are stupid
Okie dokie
Bought a 05 sportster for $400
There ya go!!
Just bought my first Harley-Davidson. 1991 ultra classic for $3000. I love it
That's a good buy I say
✌🌝✌
👍🏼👍🏼
@buttcrackcycles 🖖
Good info…thanks.
Appreciate you watching!
I just , got a 1998 fatboy for 2700. Rebuilt the carb new tires and she’s good to go
