So I don't klnow what I did but my animation are not working any help
Can you do one with the buggy because that requires you having to see your character driving it, my buggy doesn't have anyone in the seat lol. :)
Is there a way to make the collision right when enabling tessellation on the landscape? There seems to be no collision on the high and low parts, my character's feet either float or go through the higher parts of the landscape that are tessellated. Usually on object you have collision but tessellated landscape surfaces don't have collision for the tessellation displacement as it's real geometry
I have this sort of set up but not through the physical material system where I hit my robots, it makes a metal sound and sparks from the projectile. Physical material system makes it's alot easier to automate, you can just assign it to the textures and they apply to all the objects which use that texture, it's a great system, thanks.

Hey! Watched the whole thing and its awesome! Super helpful because Im trying to make my first online game but stuck with some of the concepts. What would you need to do to replicate custom movement functions? For example, I made a run, crouch and slide mechanic but the client side doesn’t seem to pick it all up. It does somethings like shrink the player capsule but not movement speed etc. 🤷♀️ Any help would be massively appreciated :))

The fact that you reuploaded a video you had already done because you found an error/better way make you a champ in my heart. So tired of youtube tutorials where they mess something up and then spend 3 videos having to make workarounds/fixes instead of just doing what you did. I have one question for you. Have you given any thought to using Data Assets housed in a Skeletal Mesh Component? I have used your system of a master class housed in an Actor before, and was curious what you think is the most streamlined way to equip & manage a weapon system.

Great video, it was easy to keep up with and you gave a lot of explanations for why and what you were doing. Awesome. I doubt OP is still replying on this video, but maybe someone can help. My only problem is @1:54:00 when I started clearing up the first Error after changing the Variable to "ENUM Weapon Type" from "ENUM Weapon Class" it did not clear the Error to change the Input to "ENUM Weapon Type." It just created an error in the "Get Weapon Of Type" node.
Finally I've been looking for a video to show how to do custom animations for first person weapons thanks for the tutorial

Hello, good tutorial, if I want to keep the choice option saved so that as soon as I close and start the save the previously chosen character remains saved, how could I do this, for example in my project I have a new game and continue button, in continue it would be interesting for the previously chosen character to remain saved.
@@hansbetinardi1237 Store a class reference in your save game.
If only ue will have a cascadeur lang like.physics so if we keyframe movements jt will add some physics stuff so it wont be too linear.
@@lz4090 You can blend animations with simulated physics as much as you like in Unreal....

Coming from older versions of Ue4 Do you really need to retarget the anims for each character if they technicly have the same skeleton. I know you renamed each but wouldnt you be able to use example Lena with Treys animations considering they were based of the same skeleton in MetaHuman ?
@fenrixrex2554 Yeah probably, but you might have trouble editing the anims to look nice for all skeletal meshes.

Love the tutorial but the character will not do what is shown, but still does the same ole thing. I have followed the tutorial step by step multiple times to see if I actually missed something... nada! Update, the camera is going down to the crotch when looking up for down.
This is such a good tutorial, took my project to the next level for sure, always seem to have a problem with aiming and getting the blend spaces right, thanks so much.

For those who has the problem with a gun stuck to the floor, the solution is to check if you character has skeletal mesh assigned to him
How about a system where you can also buy weapons from a shop like situation and earn money for shooting targets

Spine bend didnt work, its wont bend any ideas why.... I followd exactly so i am confused

hey guys for the ones in 5.4 you have to multiply the Controller Pitch Input by 0.8 (at least it woked for me) edit: forget about it, when you change the variable value it breaks again
awesome! how to make to replicate animation only if someone is near you? otherwise no point to replicate if another players are in another side of map 😊
This dabbles into relevancy and prioritization. Epic has some information on network relevancy that I recommend. We may make a video on it 😀

@@eligijuspranskunas3509 this depends on the way you want to handle it do you still want to see the player just not see the animation play at a certain distance ? or have it where you don't see the player at all at a certain distance in that case the net cull distance will automatically make you not relevant to a player if there out of relevant range
