Cheapest fish here in India... 10cents equivalent.
I know that gel glue that has cyanoacrylate in it is safe for your aquarium. So how do we know what accelerator is safe? I'm in Australia, so I might not have that brand you use. Thanks for the tips. Even experience people can learn a better way of doing things.
Popped in my recommended right as I needed this, thank you!!!
That’s awesome 👏. Hopefully there’s a few more you like as well - check it out! Thanks so much for watching 😊
When you make instructional video, you should be at least half-competent about the item. This days everyone with a phone is a self proclaimed "star".
Thanks so much for your candid feedback! We’ll try to keep getting better 😀
Lovely video, amazing energy! Good info! 🎉
Thx for the crushed coral in canister tray tip 👍🏼 . . .
Great video, I actually understand it now…. Thx, I needed this
That’s awesome to hear! Thanks for watching 🙏
Extremely helpful thank you so much for making this video. Appreciated 🙏
Thanks for watching! 🙏
The bottom dwellers i know, are DEFINITELY not breeding.
Fantastic video. I thoroughly enjoy your content. Thank You Sir. CPT Steve - York ,Pa USA
I in the process of building my aquariums now. First time full live plants and aqua soil. So I'm watching these videos so that I do not make the mistakes. :)
That’s awesome 👏. What questions do you have? Ask away!
It can help, when first setting up a tank, to add a litre or so of water collected from a river, stream or pond. And some of the mud or gravel too. I know there's a risk of parasites and water-borne diseases but I've never had a problem. I believe that the more different kinds of plants, molluscs, shrimps and worms (tubifex) you add at the start can lead to a more stable ecosystem.
Definitely interesting idea! Thanks for watching 🙏
Could you make the music a bit louder? I could almost hear someone talking...
@Argosh - Sorry about that! New video drops tomorrow and we’ll try to make sure the level is lower. This one was at -35db so had it turned down a lot but I guess not enough 😞 Thanks for watching!
@@BRSfresh I strongly suggest redoing this one. I was interested in the content.
Really appreciate you saying that! I hope you’re willing to stick around 🙏
@@BRSfresh Can't you reupload the sound? I genuinely cannot make out the words being said.
Unfortunately not - the only thing that RUclips allows you to do once your video is uploaded is cut pieces out of it. You can’t add to it and you can’t change the audio.
No more sad emotional sick fish! We want heavy music and piranha fish with battle scars "¤,¤" <--- That 's a owl, but it identify as a pirate..
I know 😔 Honestly, there’s gonna be a few more 😬. Just trying to show some options to help people - not trying to suck the fun out of it though! I’ll change the music up for ya tho 👊
These are some really good aquascaping videos!
Thanks!🙏 if you are just finding us, welcome! We’ve got a variety of different types of videos on the channel so hopefully you can check it out! If you’ve been here for a little bit, welcome back!
Hard to follow with the loud music
Sorry to hear that! We will pay close attention to that on this Friday’s release. Please let us know if it’s better! Thanks for watching 😁
Agreed, I see so many people doing this at the fish stores and it’s like ugh
Right? An experience in a fish store is exactly what prompted me to make this short!
@ Absolutely and I’m hoping to start a fish store in my area cause there’s none around and I started a donation on my community page and I’d appreciate it if you could share it 😊
Commenting for some engagement and to also ask for the voice audio to be louder next time :D compared to a lot of other videos this is quite quiet. Keep it up, great video
Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
all my fish died within the span of 2 days, 3 Died by trying to go in the filter and 2 died out of no where with nothing to kill them? is it the water?
Get a water test kit and check your water parameters, just like you saw in the video
Agreed- without water testing it would be hard to know what happened. Sorry to hear that! A comprehensive test kit would give you an idea of what may have been going on giving you time to react before it was too late. I hope you aren’t discouraged- get back out there and go again! Most of us have experienced tough lessons one way or the other. Ask whatever questions you have along the way.
Well yea it's a pH test kit it tests the pH
But I mean dead on with digital? Well, guess I’m easily impressed 😆
I’m trying to cycle my tank. I bought this bacteria bottle but I did not dose the proper amount (instructions are in Japanese) so I did an 80% water change when amonia went over 6ppm and now I’m waiting after adding more bacteria (the proper amount) . Still no living animals in the tank. But the nitrites and nitrates are not going up (maybe a lot of plants in the tank) and the amonia test that I can find are really shit (test strips) . I’m patiently waiting but I want to add my shrimps asap
Definitely get a good test kit! But sounds like you’re on the right track!
@ yesterday I saw a considerable increase in Nitrites and Nitrates, the Montecarlo seems to be thriving aswell , so I am happy! In doing daily check ups. Thank you for the answer I’m already subscribed ! Great content
Thank you 🙏 Please ask any questions along the way!
Thanks for featuring our test kit 🙂
It’s awesome!
My big aquarium went through that faze. It basically disappeared when I added more plants and reduced the light intensity. Just the usual non C02 aquarium care with that.
Sometimes it’s just that simple!👊
I ran co2 in my fishroom for 5years straight and never even knew people cared about placement and back siphoning to the check valve, ran 10 tanks from floor to sealing with co2 and all check valves were only 5inches from the bubble counter, i believe in buying quality check valves not just your cheapest option and if youve spent that money on a co2 setup there should be no argument on getting quality over price
👋 Thanks for watching and I agree! I also didn’t realize people thought so much about it and then I started believing it really mattered. Then I started getting more questions about it which is why I finally decided to set up a test and turns out it doesn’t seem to matter. Just matters that you have one!
@BRSfresh a good video to continue on would be about the actual tubing that you use for co2 as that can actually affect results and is a ticking timebomb i have experienced myself in my early days learning co2 when not much info was out. Also I have found that a cigarette filter for a diffuser is alot more effective on co2 setups when you run alot of tanks as you can change them over with little expense instead of cleaning the ceramic ones on a rotational basis, also did not find any difference in effectiveness of them besides overall aesthetic if you like the look of the diffuser
Wow that’s interesting- haven’t heard about that before but pretty cool that it works! Totally agree on the tubing - I thought any quarter inch tubing would be fine when I first started and didn’t realize the importance of CO2 only tubing!
@BRSfresh surprised me aswell especially since a packet of filters is only $2 for 100 of them and the slim ones slip directly in snug to the end of the tubing and only need replacing every 2-3weeks. Also if you're trying to hide the fact you have co2 in the tank very easy to hide next to equipment or hardscape. Thankyou for the discussion love your channel just stumbled upon it a couple of months ago and binged half of your videos. Salute to you sir keep spreading the knowledge and testing your own thesis on things.
A big thanks to you! Really appreciate the support - more testing coming on aquascaping stones 🤫

Hey!.no plant available for demo?
Well there is in my full length video on gluing things in an aquarium! I show how to use the accelerator on a plant. Check it out when you get a chance!
Lol I'm very confused. I thought this was satire😂. He put bonding/ glue on a rock than said it's now rock solid.😂
@ 👋! I can see how that could happen 😅 this is a short from a longer video where the context probably makes a little bit more sense. The point here, however, is to show how effective the accelerator is. Thanks for watching 🙏
Drink from the water tank then , bet you’ll love the taste of that accelerator spray
Then you have chemicals in the water
👋! Good thing to be aware of anytime you are working around your aquarium for sure - good news is this is very safe to use. I have used this on countless plants, rocks and woods in over ten tanks with no concerns. Thanks for watching!
There's also ammonium. I spent months wondering how my fish kept getting bacterial infection until I went over to my air pump where I don't usually go & the area stunk of pee (dog pee) turned out my dogs had been peeing off their tray onto my mat & it had soaked through to the tiled floor. After I cleaned it all up & threw the mat away so the dogs couldn't pee there I never had the bacteria infections come back. It must have been drawing ammonium through the air pump & defusing it into the tank
Wow! First I heard of something like that - good detective work!
@BRSfresh the bacterial infections cleared up immediately and within a day the fish (fancy goldfish) stopped being lethargic (they were lethargic for months) and were swimming around happily & have ever since
Nicely done! 🙌
Ammonium is dissolved in a liquid at a 6.4 pH or lower. Is your tank below 6.4 pH? If not, then it was ammonia. Ammonia is less stable and will oxidize lipids in cell membranes. This is why we never raise our pH without doing a water change first because the ammonium will transition to ammonia as we increase the pH without doing a prior water change. This usually applies more to African cichlid tanks where someone may want to increase their carbonate hardness after neglecting their tank, for example.
Wow! Thanks for sharing such an in depth response - just subscribed to your channel!
This video came right on time lol I had an outbreak of parasites and the meds put me in a mini cycle right now thank God I checked the water last night keeping an eagle eye on the tank and using prime.
YIKES! Water changes and hopefully you’ll be back! I dropped a video on Monday about treating diseases quarantining if that helps!
It's because canister filter utilize siphon to help feed water to their pump
👋! Definitely agree. I didn’t expect to have the one on the side still have so much flow!
plumbing comment - put a loop in the tube after the check valve to act as a vacuum to prevent back siphon in case of power outage or check valve fails
That sounds like a cool trick! I’ll definitely try that. Thanks!🙏
Just hang the air pump 6” or more above the water line behind the tank. Let the power cord dangle so it’s in a u shape to prevent any splashes dripping into the outlet.
Is that sand or contra soil in that tank you used for demonstration and what color is it? I’m kinda new to this hobby and been watching your videos. Thanks for all these amazing videos. They have been much helpful
👋! WELCOME 🙌 So this is UNS Controsand “BORA”. Beautiful stuff - looking to set up your first tank?? Please don’t hesitate to ask whatever questions you have along the way - no dumb questions - just ask! Here to help and thanks for watching!
@ thank you for getting back to me. I will probably be purchasing some real soon
Very cool! Are you thinking about doing plants?
@@BRSfresh yes
@@danielsmith9766 OK cool, are you familiar with some of the considerations around plants with sand?
Will a canister filter flow rate be reduced if you stuff the media out with lots of biological media?
Hey man - I don’t think so. Each of these were full of media and had plenty of flow. Where filters have more room for media than these, they typically have more power as well so that would compensate for it and I bet the result would be the same. Thanks for watching!
@BRSfresh thanks👍 that makes sense
Definitely agree about how stress is a leading cause for illness. It's always hard to play detective and figure out exactly what is going on. P.S. Nice thumbnail! 👍
👋! Thanks for watching 🙏
😂😂😂
I have much better luck with rubber bands than thread. Black rubber bands disappear pretty well.
Interesting I never thought of that - I’ll give it a try 👊🙏
Bueatyful
Can you tell me the plant name
Same question
Monte carlo
Y’all got it! Thanks 🙏 @diwakar4457 if you have any questions about it ket me know. I have worked with it in just about every way you can - one of my favorites 😁
@@BRSfresh thanks for the reply
The glass outlet going into the tube... just a light smearing of silicone lubricant helps a load, same stuff used for you O-rings
Great tip! I’ll try that - thanks! 🙏
Yeah breaking up the stone looks real easy not as fragile as I was fearing. Thanks for recomending the vid. feel a lot more confident smacking it around a bit now.
Have fun!
I really enjoy your videos. I’m a beginner. I’m cycling a Fluval Flex 9 at the moment. What would you recommend? I would like 2 different species if possible. Thank, you.
Welcome to the hobby! Great aquarium to get started with and you're already ahead of the game by cycling it - unfortunately, some just don't and it's terrible for the fish. Celestial Pearl Danios are great in that size and I also love Pork Chop Rasboras. Enjoy and please ask any questions you have along the way - here to help you!
@ thank you very much. How many of each is acceptable?
People debate this topic - for me, I think you can do around 6 of these total. Technically a few kore but I like to stay on the low end. You might be happier with 6 of one type - both school well. Cherry’s are more mellow. Rasboras will give you a little more excitement. Both are great 👍
That's brilliant ❤
Keep the knowledge coming
Keep viewing and I’ll keep making! 👊😁
What is that large green plant you're growing on the spider wood behind you please? It looks really good
So the larger ones down low are Anubias that have EXPLODED. They're so cool - the rhizome is underwater but the leaves are bursting. Here's a link to it: brs.li/40Irq1Z. If you haven't seen the build video, check it out: ruclips.net/video/CE9Q-Irsc9s/видео.html. The upper right plant (bright green) is something Josh's Frogs brought us. I can't remember what it is but I can ask!
@BRSfresh thank you, I will check it out now
I've managed to grow them to adult size for feeding bigger fish but they soon eat all the green water and after that all die. I guess I need a cheap abundant food source for them
This one is out of my element- I have never grown them myself but good luck! 😁
Thanks, I ordered some of this based on your video. It looks amazing. It'll look even better next to my Stargate aquarium model 😊
That’s awesome, thanks! Enjoy it 🤘 It’s cool to have something so out of the norm. Here’s some more info on it from a website that is really cool bantam.earth/elephant-skin-stone-dolomite-rock/
just bought a second hand tank that has a huge lump of this with it. it's like 17KG or so the seller said (I dont have scales), certainly feels that heavy. how easy is it to break up a large chunk?
It's super easy - check out this video (at :41) ruclips.net/video/v7bdrGyfqRE/видео.html You can just blindly hit it with a hammer but a chisel will allow you to get some more targeted breaks...wear safety glasses! :)
How does coconut husk effect water parameters?
I haven’t tested it - but it’s an interesting idea! I didn’t notice any visible tannins from it at all (which might lower pH). certainly nothing like I’ve seen with a piece of driftwood which hasn’t been problematic for our aquariums. I will keep testing the water but don’t expect there to be any concern. Thanks for watching!
